Not sure this is really a Unilocal worthy entry but here it is anyway. This is a farm near my house that hosts a pig roast once a year. It’s open to all the neighbors of the farm, free. You are expected to bring a dish. We did. There is some food they provide, including the pig. However, it’s was not a real pig roast, just roast pork. I’m sure it was from their farm, but not a pit roasted pig like I had expected. They also make their own ice cream. The food they provided and the food other guests brought were all good, but just good. The event was great though. An appreciative local farmer and appreciative guests, for the most part. Worth going, but for the atmosphere, not the food.
