I have visited this Exchange a few times. It is ok. Yes it is bigger than it was before and I do love the updates. I don’t think prices are any more cheaper here. Maybe when they have specials. The store doesn’t flow properly since the remodel. It seems like there are things everywhere. It needs a better flow to increase better traffic. The mini mall has gone though so many different vendors. I think because of all the competition off base most people rather shop off base than on. We do enjoy visiting Popeyes every now and then. We use coupons or they run specials. The prices at the Barber shop has my husband and son cutting their own hair. 1 star for facilities 1 star for clean bathrooms(i have kids and they always have to visit the bathrooms) 1 star variety in items, vendors, and food — star for service — star overall There is no WOW factor here. Sometimes it is nice to look around and see what they have.

The new dominoes is not good. Tried it three times and all three times it was poor. One time the crust was bad and it uses way too much sauce and very little cheese. I would rather have Anthony’s back. At least they had pizza by the slice and the pizza was better.

Can someone please tell me what happened to customer service at Randolph’s garden shop? My husband exchanged a propane tank and the associate told him he would be right out to exchange the cylinder. When my husband noticed that the young man helped another coworker on a forklift, he ask what happened to you coming out to exchange the propane tank? The young man said«I didn’t tell you shit.» I worked for the PX for over 10 years and never spoke or even thought about speaking to customers like that. That person should not be allowed to work there.

The BX has never kept up with the Big Box Stores down town! Weekly when New Release Blu Rays come out the BX is anywhere from 10 too 17 dollars higher than Best Buy, Target, Walmart! And trying to get a price match on Blu Rays priced $ 10.00 higher is not as easy as it advertises! Even though the Manager says,” Under $ 10.00 difference, no questions asked”, the cashiers are interrogators and make you look like a thief! The rest of the store is the same way! The Home and garden store is dying! They have now adopted a policy that they will not keep items in stock! If you want some furniture you see in the store, you have to order it! let me make this simple! The BX’s delivery has always taken a long time and is often riddled with mistakes and most of the Furniture comes from Ashley Furniture, and their record of delivery is abysmal! Up to 8 weeks total with the bX as the middle man! Congress is discussing Contracting the BX out! In case you haven’t noticed, Contracting out in the military HASNEVRERWORKOUTFORANYONEINVOLVED They should just close the BX completely! I get my New Release Blu Rays at Best Buy and never have to argue with anyone!

Pretty much like any other exchange. They just redid it so it does look a lot nicer.

I haven’t been impressed with an Exchange in a long time. I’m glad the food court replaced Robinhood with Subway, and Anthony’s Pizza is okay but I only get those when I don’t want to wait for Charlies. I can’t stand Starbucks and would rather have a Dunkin Donuts but that’s because I like coffee and not the burnt bean dessert drinks. 14 years ago the actual BX was worth it because things like perfume and higher end clothing were cheaper than the mall. Now I get better deals with store specific discounts, point programs, and online shopping. Even outlet stores are more competative. Lots of places price match these days and have better selection of electronics and housewares. And forget about holiday decorations — these days it’s pretty much non-existant and you should just go to Target.

This is the review for the food court and exchange. The food court recently added a Subway but lost Robin Hood sandwich shop and some oriental fast food shop. Typical food court setup. Several tables needed to some cleaning – didn’t see the people in charge of keeping them clean – while I ate. We got some food from Popeye’s and Charlie’s Steakery. Never had any issues. Food was pretty good every time we ordered at those establishments. The Exchange was going through a total reorganization when we walked in to take a look around. Really nothing noteworthy to write home about. The prices are a little high on many items but they brag about the 8.25% sales tax you save when you make a purchase. That’s great if the price for the item you’re interested in – is comparable to what it would cost(before sales tax) – able to get them to price match it or it’s a high ticket item. They’re not aggressive with their pricing – maybe except on their sales catalogs. Good luck trying to find most those catalog sale items in the store though. I don’t even try anymore. I don’t even bother with their Star card. At one time, they didn’t offer those nice«same as cash» programs that most other retail stores off-base regularly offer customers. Maybe that may have changed – I don’t know. I also found that many items are already picked over before you even have a chance to see what’s there. I can count on one hand how many times I visit the Exchange in one year.

I love the BX! They price match, nice selection of cosmetics and it’s close to my home. Easy peasy for me.

Less selection than the Navy exchange but you can’t beat the prices or the fact that everything is tax free. The service I received here was great. I would return. But I shouldn’t because I don’t need to be shopping. Keep this location clean and friendly.

Randolph has a very new medium size PX following the classic design. Food court, crusty veteran hat shop, and dragon-killing sword stands are out in the mezzanine. This one is compact and has a decent mix of merchandise. Lots of sporting goods, housewares, clothes, and now a gun shop inside. Significantly lacking in the tools/home improvement, jewelry and non-TV electronics. Do not under any circumstances attempt to go here for a promotion or special event. The management is completely incompetent and mass chaos always reigns. I’m talking black friday, special releases, advertized sales, etc. Inevitably an angry mob gets rowdy because what was put out does not match what is happening in the store.

So bummed that the Exchange is also closed because of the government shutdown :(…as was told to me by several military spouses. BUT… Ooops my bad… Exchange is OPEN according to Joint Base San Antonio website. Anyways… Whenever we have guests in town, I like to take them on a tour of the base. We always end up at the Exchange for souvenirs. They are much cheaper at the Exchange versus downtown area and even Walmart. This Exchange also has a food court, barbershop, pharmacy, uniform shop, and vendors such as Things Remembered. One stop shopping!

I love The Exchange! While the prices aren’t always the best, they are still really good. I often find cool products here I can’t find elsewhere.

This is your typical base exchange. I like that it has a Starbucks inside, but I am not a fan of how the men’s department lacks any variety. I couldn’t find any shoes, shorts, pants, or shirts that I was willing to wear. The exchange does seem to provide enough home goods, sunglasses, watches, books, electronics, etc… The food court has two sandwich places, an asian place, a pizza place, and I think there is some form of burger place, but I could be wrong. There are a couple other services provided by this facility like the barber shop, the pharmacy, the UPS store, a souvenir store, a uniform shop, amongst others…
