Horrible experience Awful food handling, dirty, understaffed Missing utensils ice tea. For a company that has failed the American people with the food quality this was shocking What has happened to such a wonderful idea Over expansion? Hubris? Time to move on

If you use cash, beware of some of the cashiers. One of the chicks with trashy facial piercings and tattoos tried to steal $ 5 from me. Also, the staff is very slow and incompetent.

I’ve always been a Chipotle fan since my weekly Friday tradition with my middle school friends. The chain has stood by my sode through college and my favorite Chipotle spot in STL is this one on the Delmar Loop. The restaurant is easy to access for WashU students who live both on– and off-campus and conveniently has parking right beside the store. It is a great spot in the center of the loop with spacious seating and friendly staff– perfect for a quick bite with friends. I love their brown rice burrito veggie bowls(*with FREE guac!!) and always ask for a side of corn tortillas.

I submitted an order at around 6:25 for Chipotle through postmates… It said it would take 40 mins. I watched my driver on the map,(at about 30 minutes after I ordered) go to my closest location(2 miles from my house) for a few minutes and then drive to a further location which is another 20(at least) minutes away. I texted and called her with no response. She finally responded saying the line was too long and that’s why she decided to go to the further one. The problem is that it’s now been well over an hour and she’s at least 20 minutes from my house with food that is definitely going to be cold by the time it gets here. I tried to call your phone Line, it said the wait was 7 – 10 minutes. After 5.5 minutes it sent me to an answering service which really upsets me. I called(which is a pain) so I could talk to a real person, and you direct me to a flipping answering machine?! I expect a level of customer service here. I’m respectfully holding back a multitude of expletives. We got your food cold, 45 mins late and missing the chips. I was really excited to get your services in my area but I am seriously disappointed and I expect someone to contact me immediately. This is ridiculous.

This is one of the best Chipotle’s I’ve been to. It’s clean, the food(especially the guacamole) looks fresh, and the servers are always friendly. They are also quite generous with portion sizes, and have never skimped on the guac or meat. If you go towards the evening, they may be out of some things(guac, usually, and the lemons by the sodas). Parking may be the only issue for this location. The small, paid parking lot right next it is usually full, at any time of day.(I usually end up parking behind Starbucks) There also isn’t any outdoor seating for this location, but in my experience, that has also been the case for the other locations I’ve been to.

I used to work at Chipotle for a year so I am obsessed with the food. The food at this location did taste pretty great– the cut sizes of the meats and veggies were pretty great too. Things tasted fresh. The thing that was very lacking to me was the energy. The girl that greeted me at the Tortilla station didn’t even smile at me. There was only one person(a guy on salsa) who was energetic and happy. I wish I knew his name so I could tell you guys to promote him! The employees definitely need to be a little bit more enfectiously enthusiastic, and then this place will be great.

Food is great and the employees are generally friendly. But they should allow customers to use the bathroom without having to order food — having to wait inline with a full bladder only worsens the wonderful experience of Chipotle. I’ve been to many Chipotles locations, and have never encountered the problem there. Yes location changes this. However, if sketchy people using bathrooms is the problem, then the manager needs to figure out a way to keep out sketchy people, without annoying customers.

Today was my first visit at the Delmar Chipotle, so be sure to consider that if you choose to continue reading my review. :) Service: Service was great. Short of taking my name and improvising a song-and-dance routine that expressed their love and adoration for me, there’s really nothing else the employees could have done to make the ordering process better. I don’t know if I’m just lucky in this regard, but I’ve never had a bad service experience at any Chipotle. Everyone is always extraordinarily nice. I’m beginning to think that being a friendly, outgoing person, or at least being able to act like one, is a job requirement. Food: My food was okay. I got my usual veggie bowl with brown rice, pinto beans, fajita veggies, and all of the salsas except for salsa verde. I could have used a little more of the red chili(hot) salsa, but no biggie. My brown rice was undercooked, but that happens. I’m a pretty easygoing person. Restaurant: The restaurant has ample seating. Maximum occupancy is 90, so accounting for the 5 or so employees who work here, you can have lunch with around 85 of your closest friends. The front of this Chipotle has floor-to-ceiling windows that provide a nice view of Delmar. The parking lot on the western side of the building used to be free but is now a paid lot. I’m not sure if Chipotle validates your parking. I doubt it, but I didn’t ask. I parked in a free lot behind Fitz’s and then walked to Chipotle. You must ask an employee to unlock the restroom for you. I understand the reasoning behind that, but I haaate that. Asking permission to use the restroom makes me feel like I’m in school.(«May I please have the hall pass?») Also, asking for access to the restroom would have maxed out my social interaction quota for the day, and I consequently would have been unable to order my food. I just wanted to wash my hands before eating here. I almost left, but I was hungry. And I carry hand wipes. :p Conclusion: Of the seven Chipotle restaurants I’ve been to in the St. Louis area, this is my least favorite. If I’m at the point of choosing favorite and least favorite locations, I think it’s safe to say that I go to Chipotle far too often. In terms of service and food on this visit, I’d give them 4 stars(5 for service and 3 for food). However, the paid lot and locked restrooms make this location feel uptight to me. It’s probably weird, but I like to go to Chipotle to relax. So, for me, this location gets 3 solid stars of A-OK-ness. It’s not my first(second, third, fourth, fifth, or sixth) choice, but if I’m in The Loop, craving Chipotle, and not out of hand wipes, I’ll be back.

Good location with a parking lot right next to it. This place used to be one of the best, where friendly staff gave you generous portions and fresh ingredient. Now the food lapsed into mediocrity and service significantly deteriorated since earlier this year. Perhaps budget cut or personnel changes? My friend and I had a steak bowl and a chicken bowl. The people had problems slowing down to hear what you want. And PLOP, she just dropped something that I didn’t want into my bowl… As mentioned in other reviews, they have been skimping on ingredients. I asked for some more lettuce and she got agitated and took some lettuce off my bowl… The steak was overcooked and smelled like burned charcoal, my friend could not even chew it. The chicken bowl was alright but I started feeling hungry with a growling stomach in an hour.

I used to go to this location almost once a week. I don’t know if there was a change in management or what, but they have been skimping on rice and meat since the end of summer. You get barely a scoop of each, and it results in a soggy, cold mess if you get your burrito with cheese, salsa, and sour cream. The staff were also fairly rude and unwelcoming last time I was there.

Not a chipotle regular but the staff and food were good. We went on a weeknight because we have two coupons for a free burrito. My husband got the barbacos(BBQ beef) which he said was really good. I got the steak burrito bowl with fajita veggies — also very good. The kids got a cheese quesadilla kids meal which is on the printed menu not the menu board. The kids meal came with chips but no salsa. I asked for salsa to go with the chips which the staff gave to me. It seemed clean but I will say the staff moved a little slow — but were happy all the while. This didn’t convert us to regulars but I wouldn’t say no if someone else suggested.

Solid chipotle, but the only issue is parking. There is a paid parking lot next to it, but currently it’s out of order. Food and service were great though!

You can never go wrong with chipotle! The staff are friendly and the stores are always kept up nice. I love how their meat is hormone free and they have a great selection of fresh veggies, cheese, beans, guacamole, and salsas. Prices are very reasonable as well.

For a quick and delicious lunch at a very reasonable price, Chipotle is hard to beat. I’ve eaten at a number of them, but none have exceeded this location in friendliness and efficiency of service. Every employee was on his/her game, smiling and friendly in a genuine way that made us feel like they were glad we chose their restaurant. I also appreciate that Chipotle pays more attention to quality of ingredients than other fast food places. So within its fast food category, I think Chipotle overall is as good as it gets. Then, among Chipotle locations, I think this location is as good as it gets. Hence the 5 stars.

Good location on the loop. Much, much better execution than Clayton’s location. Rice is cooked right. Meat is delicious and generous portions.

There is not much I can say about a chain restaurant except that the pros for this location are that they always has very friendly staff. Its always clean. They do not skimp on the rice and meat and guac!!! Its large and good for bigger groups. The cons about this location are that the music is excessively loud when you walk in. Parking is a pain if the parking lot is full and outdoor seating is limited to about 2 tables only.

As you may have noticed, I love Chipotle. This is probably the one restaurant I visit regularly. This location, along with the Kirkwood location, see my face at least twice a week. Also, you may have noticed, I always say I don’t care for franchised places, however this is one exception I clearly love to make. I was first introduced to Chipotle back in 1998 when I was visiting, and eventually moved to, Denver. This is a Denver-based company and I frequented the original Chipotle so much I thought I would have to move in next door. Well luckily, I now have one less than ½ mile from my house. My love for Chiptole extends past the delicious, fresh food. This is a company with great values and excellent employee relations. I am familiar with the corporate structure and know several people who have worked for Chipotle and they are top-notch. This location, besides being extremely close to my house, always offers a smile and a friendly hello upon entering. The line moves quickly even with texting, phone using, Wash U students jamming up the place. My favorite: Steak fajita bowl, brown rice, extra veggies, corn salsa, cheese and a bag of chips and quac. This is hard to beat at $ 8.50. It is so filling, delicious and really not too bad for me. I love to throw in an Izze grapefruit or raspberry drink on occasion. Another great feature of all Chipotles is their online ordering service. I use it quite frequently when ordering for a few people or a group of employees. Just place the order, they name and label everything, pay online and walk to the front of the line, pick it up and walk out. It couldn’t be easier. Parking is a little difficult. They have street parking or a private pay lot and a pay garage across the street. I walk or bike up, so it doesn’t bother me. If they added delivery I don’t think I would eat anything else. Of course, the exercise is probably needed.

I wish they would put more chicken in my burrito, without me incurring the extra expense for it. Yup… that’s my only gripe about this place, and it’s not really a gripe… just a suggestion… you see my 6’1″/275lb ass coming… prepare to give me more meat in my damn burrito! Ok… seriously. they’re fucking excellent in here. They put up with my occasional drunkenness, the food is ALWAYS fresh, and the burrito is the size of a football… what’s not to like? Oh… and they serve ALCOHOL! Drunkenness is usually a given if I’m at Chipotle after 7pm, because 609’s walking distance, but if I ever want liquor, AND a Mexican food coma in the same place, Chipotle’s where I’ll be…

Yeah, I mean it’s chipotle. The food is always good unless you go there when the stars are misaligned. The portions are large(especially the burritos) and the prices are reasonable. The meat is the best part. My favorite is barbacoa. What sets this Chipotle apart from many others is its awesome window-bar seating. I love eating my food and watching all the interesting Loop dwellers prance by. Also, be sure to check out the graffiti on the wall outside the store. Several years ago when the Chipotle was built, there was a controversy surrounding the destruction of the graffiti wall. So as a compromise, Chipotle left half of the graffiti wall intact for everyone’s viewing pleasure.
