My husband and I have been going to shows at the Black Rep for many years and are formerly season subscription holders. We went to a recent play and sat in the first row. My husband leaned against the stage during the intermission. A staff person came over and told him to not lean against the stage. He moved and we were standing in front of our seats. Then another staff person came over and told us to not lean against the stage. Ok ok. We have been to plays for at least 30 years and know how to act in a theatre. Then the House Manager came over to us and told him to not stand too close to the stage. Really! We were both insulted with the way we were treated. It was ridiculous. We will not be going there anymore.

Seriously no one has written a review yet? Wow, I feel honored. Voted the best theater Company in St. Louis by both the Riverfront Times and St. Louis Magazine.
This little theater puts on many fine productions from one act plays to musical shows to the newest plays dealing with all types of subjects. I have never attended a show that was not excellent.
