Not only was this place dirty and a bit broken down, the staff was completely disinterested that we were even there, let alone take an order and make us something to eat. The girl who «took our order» never put down her phone or even walk over to us at the counter. She just called out from across the room as she stood near the register. Oh, and if you have a
voucher they are not honoring them, so you have to contact
for a refund.
The food was absolutely nothing special. Lots of other places to get a burger and fries. I suggest you go somewhere else.

I visited this place today and the service left much to be desired. I placed my order and the girl taking orders attempted to take the next customer’s order, but he couldn’t decide what he wanted. So she stood there for at least 5 – 7 mins to wait for him to decide. It wouldn’t been nice if she had at least started my order. almost everything seemed to distract her from completing my order. Plus she didn’t have any gloves while making the food however I did see her using hand sanitizer.
I ordered bacon cheese burger, fries and fried mushrooms everything was decent to poor. The mushrooms were under cooked. Fries had no taste and tasted old. The burger was decent, but not great. I could hardly find any bacon. The other customers seemed disappointed that they were out of many items. One customer called in an order and his order wasn’t ready because the employee thought she was out of polish sausage, but later found out there were more in the cooler all along.

Wouldn’t recommend this place. Lived in monee for 4 years first couple times this place was great but this last time was very bad. Food was very poorly preppared. Too much of certain condiments and they took out the drink on their combo meals. Not worth the money you pay. They are making an effort to clean the place up but the service is not great, and the food is really lacking. Very disappointed.

I felt the same thing as others outside looks dumpy. But insides nice and the dogs were yummy and a lot less than eating out truck stops all the time as a driver

I’ve been stopping in here occasionally for a couple of years and the food has usually been… okay. Went here yesterday and got their hot dog special — nothing special about it, the hot dogs were room temperature, and the toppings were incredibly sparse. They advertise a ‘Chicago style hot dog’ but it’s not even close… the buns are not even poppy seed. My friends say that Athens on Sauk Trail is muuuch better.
Also they give a discount to truckers… umm… what about the regular customers that frequent the place?
I won’t be going back here.

Good stuff. A bit sketchy-​looking from the outside, but the inside is cute and clean. The dogs were tasty and the service was excellent. I’m glad we passed up McDonalds to try it out.

A mix of traditional diner fare (dogs, burgers, Italian beef and other sandwiches) with occasional experimentation to shake the menu up, I’ve been going here since it first opened as it’s the only place in the area where you can get a decent Maxwell Street polish. CDL discounts as the exit is a truck stop location. Closed on Sundays.

Good greasy spoon joint. Burgers, dogs, polish, gyros, all decent. They close by 8 p.m.
