Worst doctor ever! Always orders blood tests that are still controversial and experimental and they are not covered by insurance. Also, you have to come to see him just for him to tell you the results of your blood tests Of course this is done so he can charge the insurance, instead of sending the results via mail or via phone like the practices of many other doctors.
The wait time is killing me! About two hours each visit. He always talks about God, Jesus, etc. to his patients and his acts are contrary to what he preaches. What a hypocrite! He sure does not show compassion towards his patients. Too bad we can not give him zero star :(

I was NOT prescribed birth control by dr. Jackson because I am not married. He was very judgemental and condescending during my last visit. He told me that he would be ashamed if his daughter was behaving as I am and he would not participate in my poor decisions. I am in my twenties and could not believe a dr. would practice with this mentality. Haven’t been back since.
On top of this, their wait is always at least thirty minutes even with an appointment.

I have been a patient of Dr. Jackson for probably 20 years. The relationship began when he was participating in an after-​hours clinic some local docs were running as an alternative to the ER. He scolded me a bit at that visit for not seeing my regular doc for the issue I had, and I would have but couldn’t get in for weeks. I decided he was right, and that I needed a doc willing to be direct with me about issues, and «the rest is history».
My experience is that when I need to get in quickly, I always can. The downside is that wait times can be extensive, and in truth they have gotten longer in the last couple years. I think this change is largely related to Dr. J’s efforts to shift from an «illness orientation» to a focus on creating health. It’s not a perfect patient experience yet, but he is competent, caring, and I know he wants the best for me and will take as much time to educate me as is required.
Dr. J recently opened a new office to better support this desired focus on health, and I think his staff is still learning how best to resource him in this. Once the staff is more trained (allowing for a greater confidence and patient orientation) and they figure out how to better manage the patient flow, my rating of the office would go from 4 stars (well above average, in my book) to 5 stars (world-​class experience, which is already how I would rate Dr. J personally).
As to the focus on health, Dr. J has coached me though reducing my body weight by close to one-​third, resulting in a great improvement in my health. He has the skills and passion to help his patients live a great quality of life; if that’s what you’re looking for in a doctor, you should check him out.

The wait time at this office is inexcusable. Every appointment I’ve had here over the past 4 years has taken at least two hours out of my day, the majority of it waiting time. It’s awful. Not really worth the care (that is nothing special, and almost falls short of helpful). Skip this place.
