I was a prenatal student at the North End location who faithfully attended classes twice weekly for the last 5 months of my pregnancy. I had no Yoga experience prior, and now that my son is over a year old and I finally have time to myself; I recently took up my practice again, this time basic flow and Relax/Restore. I cannot say enough good things about both studios and the people that own it and instruct there. Every single person I have encountered, whether it be at the front desk, or as an instructor, are warm, inviting, and most sincerely welcoming. My name is remembered just after the first meeting with a new instructor, which to me is very impressive and makes me want to return. Each instructor brings their own gifts to their class, and I find that I am constantly being challenged and learning each time I attend. Basic Flow with Bryan is completely different than Basic Flow with Rebeca, but each class is fabulous and teaches me new things in a different way. The environment is the perfect place to explore ones physical abilities, reflectiveness, and spirituality in a safe, welcoming, and completely accepting and non-judgmental environment. To all expectant mothers out there; The prenatal classes are incredible and help you to get comfortable in your skin and with your ever changing body, as well as let go of the stresses and aches and pains of pregnancy. It is also a great way to bond with your unborn child. This place is well worth every penny! It will change your life!

Source Yoga in University Place opened this morning! The new space is beautiful and spacious, and everything is brand new, yet they have an established staff and client-base which should prevent new business troubles. The new studio has cork floors, restful lighting, and a separate reception area to welcome you and reduce interuptions. It’s a bigger and brighter space than their North Tacoma location. Bryan’s intermediate class was excellent; he was clear in his explanations and did careful adjustments, pushing students in ways rarely found in Tacoma yoga studios(which tend to be more basic, in my experience). And Melissa did a great job reaching out to new students and making yoga accessible and fun. Source Yoga makes the transition from gym to studio yoga worth the additional cost!
