We’ve been living here for almost a year and enjoy it here. Quiet location and close to many places. Is in a great school district! Apartments are good sized and well maintained for an older property. Sometimes parking can become an issue especially if someone is having a get together, but at least the apartments are on a dead end street that you are able to park you cars on.

The email I just sent to Dobler Management: I wanted to let you know how disappointed I am in the unprofessional treatment I have received from your employee Brittany at University Crossings apartments in University Place. I have left half a dozen phone messages over the past two weeks and she has NEVER returned my call. I went by last Saturday after work. I arrived at approximately 3:00 pm and there was no one in the office and no answer on the phone, although the sign stated they were open until 4:00 pm. Now she FINALLY answers the phone today only to tell me the apartment was rented last week. As I explained in my multiple phone messages, my husband and I are separating and I am looking for a quiet, affordable apartment near my office that will allow my son to stay at his school. Thanks for wasting my time, Brittany. I will be sure to avoid your company in the future.

My family and I lived at this location for a full 11-month term. The WORST rental experience I’ve ever had. I read some bad reviews about this place before, but when we went to visit, it didn’t seem so bad, and the UP area is generally a good area anyway and I loved that were were many retail stores and restaurants within walking distance. This bad experience started on the day my husband and I went to pick up our keys. We learned that the leasing manager whom we originally applied with was no longer employed with the company(she was only there for about a month or so) Neighbors told us that the turnover for leasing managers was pretty high. We didn’t want to let that ruin out initial perception, so it didn’t bother us at the time. Despite having a couple questionable neighbors that really didn’t bother us, we had several issues with the apartment itself that were difficult to get resolved. We knew the apartments were older, but we liked the space and the layout so the age seemed irrelevant. After continuously complaining to both the new manager and the management company that runs the place, any water than came through the pipes would often come out BROWN! No mistaking the color, it was DISGUSTING. I mean, I had to bathe my kids in that crap! They tried to «resolve» the problem by having some company come pump the pipes to «clean» them but it continued to happen. And it took several attempts just to get through to someone to get this issue resolved that’s why I ended up having to go to the ownership. On top of that, the hot water would run out because we learned that the ENITRE complex runs off of 2, that’s right, TWO water heaters. That means about 40 apartments on 2 water heaters! It’s pretty ridiculous. Most apartments units elsewhere have a water heater per unit. Some of our neighbors had issues with their toilets when some how without any warning, it would randomly fill up, unprovoked, and dirty water would come out of it. We witnessed a few times some down stairs neighbors had to get their carpets cleaned because of this issue. Another issue is because of its age, the sound proofing sucks. We lived on the second(top) floor and heard EVERYONE around us. All the time, except when people weren’t home. haha. I would never recommend this place even to my enemies unless some MAJOR changes took place and it was completely renovated with a new management team. Otherwise, if you would like to disregard this review, good luck.
