Called ahead to see if they pay cash, lady tells me yes. Then we get here with our wire and they say there is a 3 day hold. Not only that but the person on the receipt has to come BACK HERE to pick up the money. Such bullshit!

Today we took our cans to be recycled. It was our first visit and my navigation did not take me to the exact spot, I ended up at some apartments after calling and getting the exact directions, finally found it. The ladies on the phone were very nice. Place gets pretty busy. I like how when you back in the barrels have wheels to roll easily to your car. The $ 2.20 was a big help can’t find that price anywhere else. I also choose this location because they have good hours, @ Rancho Cucamonga places close @2pm and sometimes my husband works Saturdays.

Went here for the 1st time today! This place made the recycling process easy (as easy as it’ll ever be, anyway) and efficient. The workers were helpful and patient, and helped us sort our goods properly– much appreciated! I’ve never expected much from any recycling center but this place is definitely a step above. And I’m $ 41 richer!

Had a nice customer service experience with A-​1 recycling and am glad they accept competitors coupons. The Unilocal check in gave us an offer of $ 2.20/lb for aluminum?! That’s unheard of! I wish the place was more presentable though. The ground is sticky and gross lol. Still overall glad they price match and offer other promotions!

When I arrived the lot was full, but there are plenty of baskets to put in your recycles in. The line moves fast. The gentlemen that helped us was very friendly and professional. Third time we visit this recycle center since moving to Upland. Don’t forget to bring gloves or wipes for your hands as they might get sticky and dirty.

Do it yourself facility with a staff that is less than friendly. My exchange was strictly for plastic bottles with five cent CRV and I got less than I had calculated but wasn’t going to load them back into my car or argue it.

I’ve been coming here for the past three years and this place is fantastic.
Everything is organized and pretty clean — well as clean as you can get for a recycling place!
The guys (and women) who work here are all very friendly and will answer any questions you might have. I always get confused with which plastics go with which and they are always willing to give you a run down.
This place is pretty awesome! It’s the only place that I will go to… as well as many others because it’s always busy!

Take any coupons and wax the competition like a candle.
Sort, then line up to the scale that booms
There’s carts and bins and plenty of room
Bottles, made for beers or Hennessy
Anything without a recycle symbol isn’t a felony
Sort it and weigh it, They will show you the way
They take paper and metal, And toys kids don’t play
If you wanna know the price, Yo, I’ll solve it

Compared to the recycling center near my house (monterey park), this one is ten times better!!!
Santiago explained it very well! All you do is:
1) park in the designated parking spots,
2) get your rolling baskets (lots of signs telling you what items go in which basket), 3) fill your baskets with your recyclables,
4) wait in line to get them weighed,
5) get your receipt,
6) take receipt to the cashier to get your CASH!
It’s easy and painless, so everyone please recycle! I wish there was a place as easy as this one near my house. I only went to this recycling center because I was playing tennis at the Upland Tennis Club that day, so I thought I’d see if there was less of a line than the one close to my house, which there was and A-​1 is ten times as big too!
