Ive known Jarrad for many years, when he was working under Bill at the old studio. Jarrad has a love for what martial arts is. He understands it as a form of expression, discipline, and function. He tries to integrate many forms of fighting into his training so not only do you get aspects of san soo but also mma, keysi Fighting Method, boxing, grappling, as well as many more. A lot of schools teach you a style that may be semi practical but overall maybe not applicable in real world situations. Jarrad teaches what I would call real life situation styles. He teaches knife fighting and disarming, close quarter interaction, true self defense techniques, and how to get out of violent situations with minimal harm to yourself. He is fantastic with kids and teenagers, He is patient, using great positive reinforcement techniques, and can relate to them on their level as equals, showing respect to them as individuals rather than patronizing or coming off as being above them. Its a rare gift for people to pull off. If you want to come in and just shoot the shit, Jarrad is always happy to talk martial arts, but maybe you want to talk movies, or comic, TV shows, video games Jarrad can help with that to. So come on in, we are always looking for people to bruise on friday nights(Its open floor, so we can request the lesson for that day if we want). Hope to see you there!
