Just left Carrows waited to get our drinks ordered and the short Hispanic man took three other orders before he came to take our drink order my wife even went to ask him if we can order food and he still stopped on his way to take orders from people who were seated after us. We eat here all the time on days like today where my wife is on her lunch hour and usually it’s no problem but I would suggest if you seat some one take their drink and actually acknowledge they exist. Don’t place orders just cause you want to get them out of the way people don’t always have time to wait

I hadn’t been to Carrows in years, and I was a little worried when it was half empty early on a Friday evening. Our food was delayed because they ran out of clam chowder and hadn’t started another batch on time (on a Friday evening). The waitress was apologetic, and everything else was good, but if our experience was typical, the place has gone downhill from what it was a few years ago.

The 4 of us returned to this restaurant. 2 of us had the Fish and Chips, 1 had Chicken Fried Steak and 1 had a giant veggie. burger with the trimmings. A burger you eat with both hands, even after its cut in half! We had a great waiter: Jason G. Some of us were too full to finish cleaning our plates. We sat in the section were there are Tables and Chairs (south end of restaurant). It was a great experience, unlike last time. Someone said most of the Waitstaff at this location came from the Pomona location (Now closed)

I work very close to this place and frequent it a lot during the lunch hour. I have been to other locations and they are no different than this one in being great diner food. It doesn’t get a five cause the burgers are not fresh they are frozen. But even other places can ruin a frozen burger but they don’t here. I can tolerate It cause it’s a bargain compared to drive-​thrus that cost more and taste even worse. Very clean and the staff is naturally engaging.

I had a pleasant time here. I came here with my family after watching The Avengers. I ordered their veggie burger with a side of fruit. The burger was HUGE and very tasty! I applaud them for having such a tasty veggie burger, well done Carrows! For dessert I ordered their rapper were sorbet and wow what a treat! It was served in an orange cup with a side of strawberries, I loved it!

I just went here for breakfast this morning and have done so for years. The restaurant just changed owners, but the quality has not changed and we get the same fantastic service from both Annettes and Shelly. Great way to start my day

Today I had the BBQ TRI tip‼ OMGosh the FLAVORS are so great. I am not a big red meat eater but I ate this w no BBQ sauce added ate the meat before my fries. Just outstanding flavor & tender. Keep it as a regular item & we will b back more often.

What an incredible BLESSING Carrow’s, Upland is to my family & I. My Dad picked this restaurant as the first place to go to coming out of the hospital recovering from a 3 — week bout with pneumonia. Special thanks to the staff, Barbara, Grace & Alan for their kindness & hospitality every time we come in.
With elderly parents Carrows is brilliant with their 2 for $ 20 menu. Mom & Dad both had the prime rib, their faves. This is the most INCREDIBLE deal!!! 2 entrées, 2 sides, choice of soup, salad, bread & DESSERT!!! It’s better than gold. Thank you Carrows for a wonderful place & menu to escape to… We sincerely appreciate ALL that you & your staff do for us.

The food here is good and I really like how they have flavored creamer for the coffee. But I’m mainly writing this review for my favorite server ever, Deana. She is SO friendly but not at all fake. She’ll make you feel comfortable and you’re gonna wanna be her friend in real life.
Make sure you ask to sit in her section!

We love this place! The weekend hostess is adorable and everyone knows us by name. We’ve been coming here since the kids were small (a couple of years now) and we always feel at home here. The servers are attentive and efficient and the food is great!

Came in for lunch. My party waited for over ten minutes without ever being acknowledged. So as we walked out i turn and say thanks for nothing. The lady who was ringing up someones bill didn’t even look up. Peace out bitches! So we came to Carrows on mountain and the 60. Much better experience there.

If you like mediocre food and inattentive service, this is the place for you. And apparently a lot of people do, because it was packed the Saturday morning we stopped in for breakfast. I suppose the other reason could be that a lot of these people were at the car wash next door like us and were just too lazy to cross the street to Mimi’s. Laziness never pays off. We learned our lesson –very loud in here, long time for mediocre food to arrive, its’s served with no silverware, and you have to repeatedly ask for coffee and drink refills. Skip this place and cross the street to Mimi’s, you’ll be glad you did. Pas de probleme!

Stopped in this morning for breakfast. Deanna was our server. She was super nice and attentive — we couldn’t ask for more. Our breakfast selections were delicious and cooked to order. My only complaint was that our table and seating were both really covered in crumbs and not wiped down well at all before we were seated.
It was kind of icky.
This location is right next to my favorite car wash (Mountain View which has a $ 3 off check in special) so I know I will keep coming back here to this Carrows.

Food is terrible!!! Ordered the Greatest Hits Summer Feast. The ribs seemed like it was boiled and very fatty. The steak was horrible!!! Rubbery and fatty and gristly I couldn’t even eat it!!! What a total waste of $ 13.99!!!

This review is only for breakfast/​brunch.
I split the Strawberry French Toast with a friend. I would have to describe the size of the French Toast as «cute.» They are definitely small, but you do get six slices, two eggs however you like them, and a choice of breakfast meat. I tried the turkey sausage patty and was surprised to be very pleased with it. I feel like that particular option can be hit or miss at restaurants, but this wasn’t all dried out as it sometimes can be. For $ 7.99, it’s a good deal. We also ordered a side of hash browns ($ 2.95) and split that, too. All in all, Carrow’s is a fairly economical place to have a nice brunch.
Looking at the calorie amounts on the menu encouraged the splitting of items.
