Gems A Plenty

My son (9 years old) and I went to Gems a Plenty. The owner Doug was amazing. Doug took his time and explained the history and where different rocks came from. The prices were great and the store had a vast variety of selection. Thank you Doug!

These guys rock. They are full of knowledge and are very kind. The selection is very impressive. The prices are right. Every time I stop in they have something new. They take the time to explain to my 6 year old and he is now a rock hound like me. Thanks guys.

I love Gems of Plenty! They have an awesome selection of minerals at such reasonable prices. I’ve bought so many cool tumbled and raw stones from them and have put together my own little collections. They are awesome!

If you’re looking for wire jewelry stones, geodes or just straight raw minerals this is the place to check out. When I got there I saw what looked like houses and a pathway and I thought, «Oh no this looks to be a bit weird.» like it was in someones garage or something. But I went in anyways figured I drove here might as well give it a shot since it’s got great reviews.
When I got there I was guided by a very nice lady inside and my goodness it is like a museum! Except you can buy everything! And then the wonderful staff made me feel right at home she even gave me a tray to put all the goodies I want on it to purchase. I couldn’t believe my eyes how much there was in this little place! I was like a kid in a candy shop not knowing where to look first because there was just too much to look at!
And did I mention you can pick out your own Geodes? It’s like a surprise in a rock! Of course Doug will cut it for you but I just love the surprise part of it because you don’t know what you’re gonna get on the inside!
The staff was very very helpful, attentive and knowledgeable. It is a bit crowded in there from so many specimens but come to find out they are trying to fix the area up so it doesn’t just look like a few houses. Doug the owner is trying to make a driveway and expand the place so there will be more room for more minerals and what not! I’m looking forward to the day they do but even before then I will go back often because they get new materials in every week.
The prices are very reasonable and I just love how passionate everyone is here I would give this place 10 stars if I could.

One if the coolest rock and mineral stores I have ever been to! Rachel helped us navigate the huge amount of items. From the outside boxes of large rocks, through the geode pile to the gem quality stones, this store is amazing. We were there for an hour, and we didn’t even scratch the surface. Rachel walked us through the store and treated the girls to a museum quality teach and touch outing. I think we have a couple of new rock collectors on our hands! We will be back, most definitely.

I can’t believe I didn’t know about this place. I’ve been looking for stones for wire wrapping and went in thinking I won’t see anything I like. Boy was I wrong. The two ladies were so helpful, bringing me different items and patiently listen to me ramble on. They marked every piece for me since I’m clueless about names. After my purchase, the owner gave me a tour which was cool.
I will definitely be coming back for more raw materials for my jewelry.

We visited Gems A Plenty with the youth group from our club. Douglas and his staff were amazing! They were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. The kids had an awesome time and are continously asking to go back. Gems A Plenty carries a wide array of stones that would please any rock lovers tastes. They carry everything from rough to finished. Allow plenty of time for your visit because there are just so many beautiful stones to look at.

Going to Gems A Plenty makes you feel like you’ve entered a Gem Wonderland. So much to see from fossils to crystals in many forms! Just when you think you are already saw it all, you discover another room. Quite a Fascinating place. The people have such beautiful energy and my kids loved how informative and friendly they were. Gems a Plenty is truly a gem in the city. Can’t wait to go back!!!

I recently went to this business with my husband. We were amazed by all the rocks and stones we saw. We felt like it was a museum. We got a tour of the shop and I loved the selection of rocks I was able to select and purchase! Staff was friendly and personable. I highly recommend Gems A Plenty!
