I’ve always brought my pets here when there is an emergency. The vets and staff are amazing. I just brought my dog Sammy in, in the middle of the night because he got into some caffeine tablets. He was checked immediately and kept overnight. The staff were so compassionate and helpful. I can’t recommend this place enough. Thanks for making my baby boy feel better!

They are expensive but worth it. I was able to set up a payment plan. Even though my kitty didn’t make it the male doctor was compassionate and helped me understand and get through it. The female doctor who was there when I had to put keno down was very kind and comforting. They helped me to get his ashes and paw print and I’m thankful that they were there.

My cat, Jinx, was very sick. We rushed him in and the veterinarians immediately assessed his needs. He had a blockage and stayed at the hospital for three days. Jinx was given the best of care. They allowed me to visit with him each of the days. When I called to see how he was doing with his treatment, a vet was always available to speak to me. They were professional, helpful, and empathetic. Once he was released, a vet called me at home to make sure he was doing well. We had a very positive experience.

My Dog was in a lot of Pain late at night and we didn’t know why. He was seen rather quickly and the Dr. Was it able to diagnose and treat him. Great Service and a fair price. We are very happy with the level of treatment and customer service we received. Thanks!

After being not seen by Country Vet in Chino, even though that is my normal clinic, they take walk ins and had no patients, I came here. My kitten was examined by Dr. Patlogar who was great. She was coughing really bad and panting and we thought it could be an emergency. The vet techs at the counter were very nice and thorough. They saw her very quickly and actually cared. What a great emergency clinic. All she needed was a course of antibiotics but the staff here addressed my concerns and overall were just fantastic.

I have taken my fur babies here about 3 times. Each time we have seen the Vet who is also the director. I appreciate him so much. My puppies are reactive to vaccines and he helped my babies and was very knowledgeable. I trust this vet and wish they weren’t only an ER. Also, they do not empty your bank account.

I just wanted to take the time to thank the entire staff at Inland Valley ER Center! To put it brief, my poor little dog got into something he really shouldn’t have and he had to be kept overnight. I called to check in on him at night and first thing in the morning. Both times a DOCTOR took the time to get on the phone to discus his status. So freakin’ wonderful. They were so thorough and so compassionate. I couldn’t be more grateful. Really from his admittance to his discharge, EVERY doctor and staff member we spoke to were so incredibly kind to us. They really made a horrible incident manageable. I will recommend this place to every person I know with a pet that they love so much. THANK YOU INLAND VALLEY ER STAFF!!! Yes this place is very expensive, but what you need to remember is that you are bringing your animal here because there is an emergency. Is the ER cheap for humans? No. Staff is there 24 hours, along with a certified Vet, and many of their specialty doctors are on call. The cost, along with your animal facing an emergency situation, can be very stressful and they do everything they can to bring the cost down. They are brutely honest, which I like, especially if I’m going to be paying that much.
My dog was brought in following her spay surgery with a clear obstruction. She was not pooping and could not keep anything down. I gave this place 4 stars because I feel some of the vets are not as well trained as the others in this practice. We got there at 5am on a Sunday and the vet was just finishing her shift. She couldn’t see anything on the x-​rays and suggested an exploratory surgery starting at $ 4,000. Our dog was very sick so we asked them to keep her until Monday, so that we could take her to our regular vet in hopes that they could figure out what was wrong. They agreed. We got home and within an hour, another doctor called (he also happened to be the medical director) and said there was a clear obstruction in the x-​rays and that they would need to operate right away. He was much more confident and was sure he could fix the problem (unlike the other doctor). The surgery started with a min of $ 2,500 and a max of $ 4,000. They charge you the full amount and then reimburse you on whatever isn’t used. All ER vets do this. THIS IS NOT UNIQUE TO THIS ER.
The medical director called me after the surgery and told me what they found. The spay surgery was botched and nearly killed our dog. They saved her life. She stayed there for 5 days after her surgery and we were not charged anything else based on what was found during surgery. We were able to visit her everyday (unless they were super busy) and the staff was always super awesome and understanding.
Because of what happend to my dog, I needed them to send records out to several people and they did this without any hesitation or stalling. They get how much money you have spent to save your animal and they do everything in their power to make sure they are okay. Thank you for all that you do!

After reading the recent reviews I would have to agree that they are out for the $$$. We basically had x-​ray done so she could say she couldn’t see anything. We paid $ 400 to be told our dog had pain but they really didn’t know what the cause was. So our dog is still in pain and not any better than yesterday. I will never bring our animals here again.

Horrible experience!!! My dog was practically dying, which meant time was valuable… and the first thing they ask my wife when She walk in the door with our dog is how She will be paying for the vet visit. Not, whats wrong with her Dog. The first $ 75 was just to walk in and sit in a chair and wait for 3 hours! They took the temperature of our dog 2xs because they didn’t remember the number the first time which was extremely painful for our dog because he was Bleeding from his rectal area. Then it was $ 150 for the PARVO test and finally getting him into the emergency room. Then it was «let’s crunch numbers to see how you’re going to pay for this». The estimate was $ 2600-​$ 4600. they said she had to pay minimum $ 4600 then they would return whatever they «didn’t use».It took them 3 hours just to give monkey fluids. After the first treatment My wife then took monkey to our vet in BP (Tender Loving Care) and they were ¹⁄₃ of the price! When She
arrived they didn’t ask any questions, they just put him on IVs and medicine to get him stable right away. Then they said don’t worry we will work with you on payments etc… My vet said that If anyone needs treatment for parvo it should be no more than $ 1500.
I am so livid about these people and their money Hungary tendencies! My wife and my dog mean the world to me and they treated them horribly! I urge everyone to NEVER GO THERE! They do not care about you or your dog!

Yesterday, we had to euthanize our beloved dog. The staff here were caring and compassionate, especially the veterinarian, Dr. Tansey. Our dog went to sleep surrounded by family and people who genuinely cared about his comfort.

I don’t have great feelings about about our experience with Inland Valley Emergency Pet Clinic. Our cat began to have seizures on Saturday night. The episodes didn’t look like a traditional seizure, but she began to lose bladder control and we realized something serious was going on. We took her to Inland Valley since they have 24-​hour service. We were taken back immediately, but our cat was not examined in front of us. She was immediately whisked to the back. We saw Dr. Nieto and she was very nice and ran through a list of possibilities with us. We received an estimate for services that included everything and we opted to just proceed with emergency care and blood work. We had to leave our cat there overnight for treatment and observation and before we left we were required to pay the high end estimate which was about $ 1700. Ultimately, we were refunded a few hundred dollars of that when we picked her up the next day.
The next afternoon Dr. Nakamura called to let us know that our cat could come home. He could tell us very little other than that this was serious and for now we would try to manage her episodes with phenobarbital. When we picked up our cat she was sedated so she was very drowsy. Once she came out of sedation it was apparent that she was still having seizures every few minutes. We later learned she was having partial complex cluster seizures which can be very subtle. We were planning to see our regular vet the next day, but it became clear our cat needed immediate medical attention so we went back to Inland Valley.
Up until this point we found the staff friendly enough and the care to be adequate. We really just needed to make sure our cat was safe through the night so we could get to her regular vet in the morning.
And that’s when we had the misfortune of experiencing Dr. Gallo. Because of the frequency and subtlety of the seizures we wanted Dr. Gallo to witness them in front of us, but she would not examine the cat in the room with us. We knew that the clinic had missed her seizures earlier that day otherwise they would not have released her. Dr. Gallo seemed set on insisting that we allow her to run a gamut of tests to the tune of $ 2000. When we explained that we didn’t want to run any additional tests, we just wanted to manage her symptoms for the night until we could get her to her regular vet, Dr. Gallo immediately went into condescension mode and even suggested the episodes we were witnessing weren’t actually seizures — they were just post-​seizure activity. We were clearly exhausted and it was late at night and it seemed to me that her entire purpose was to wear us down, make us feel like we were negligent, and get us to consent to a bunch of unnecessary tests. Eventually she gave us an estimate for over $ 700 that was the «absolute minimum» she was willing to do and made sure to let us know that the care we were requesting was subpar and against her medical opinion. We were so distressed when we brought our cat back and instead of showing any compassion or understanding she was intent on browbeating us to consent to a ton of expensive tests even though we were seeing our regular vet the next day.
We collected our cat Monday morning with a strong admonishment to bring her to a vet immediately. As if people who just spent close to $ 2000 on medical care for a sick cat weren’t going to bring the cat to a vet. Nice dig, Dr. Gallo.
Our regular vet sent us to a veterinary neurologist. Turns out our cat was indeed having seizures every few minutes despite the fact that Dr. Gallo refused to concede that when we brought her in (she’s the doctor in case you thought you might know something about abnormal behavior in your own pet). The neurologist kept our cat overnight and gave her large doses of phenobarbital to load her system. We picked her up the next day and she was seizure free and has been ever since (closing in on 2 weeks). Had Inland Valley given her a loading dose of phenobarbital the first night we brought her in we could have avoided our second visit there and saved our cat from having literally hundreds of seizures. Which is all to say, while a few people who worked at Inland Valley were nice enough, they didn’t manage to actually help our cat despite the nearly $ 2k we spent there. And Dr. Gallo is the worst of the worst. I mean, congratulations on going to medical school and all that. But it seems like she didn’t learn much other than how to try to squeeze money out of distressed people and then to shame them when they refuse all of her unnecessary interventions.

Avoid this place if you can. There isn’t any compassion for pets here. The bottom line at this place is money. If you don’t agree to an outrageous estimate they won’t even bat an eye. I’ve been to other Vets who really care and it night and day. It feels like your at a used car dealership not a place where they love and want to save animals. I’m disgusted by this place and how they manipulate people who desperately need help for their animal. Beware! Never will I step foot in this place again!

I wouldn’t recommend taking your beloved pet here unless you are RICH, or you don’t mind ANIMAL CONTROL at your door the next morning threatening you with an ARREST for trying to keep your pet alive. Yes, you read that right. My precious cat got attacked by a loose dog resulting in a diagnosed «distended intestine.» The vet told me it would be $ 4000+ to operate and even at that she may or may not live. Shocked, I broke down and started crying because as much as I wanted to I just could not afford such a price. They tried to talk me into some credit option where I wouldn’t have to pay interest fees. I pointed out the obvious, that’s still $ 4000 I don’t have! I asked the vet straight up, would my cat certainly die if not for an operation and she told me she knew of a cat with the same circumstances who lived 13 years without any surgery at all. Proof from the vet’s mouth it was a possibility. Mind you, my cat was not a bloody mutilated mess by any means, she had one puncture wound on her inner thigh and the rest was internal. That being said I decided I was taking my cat home to care for her myself and told the vet I would take any antibiotics and of course pain meds they could send with me to administer myself, just tell me what to do. But once they had concluded they could not get their price out of me they started «politely» badgering me to put my cat down, telling me it would be «cruel» not to. First from the vet lady, then from a blonde girl tech sent in to «reason» with me. I felt like I was in some sort of nightmarish, brain-​washing psych session from a movie. They started asking me shrink-​type questions about if I was against euthanasia? I told them of course not, as a last resort, if an animal is visibly suffering with no hope of survival… BUT MY CAT WAS PURRING AS I KEPT MY HAND ON HER THE ENTIRE 25 MINUTE RIDE TO THE CLINIC, I HAD SEEN HER STAND ON HER OWN ACCORD AND WALK TO HER WATER DISH TO DRINK NOT 2 HOURS BEFOREHAND, AND SHE WAS HARDLY A YEAR AND A HALF OLD! I explained through tears again and again, I could not justify ending her life or live with myself for doing so when all of this was a reality, the only «cruelty» would be in NOT giving her a chance. Who puts down a PURRING cat? Finally I guess they could see I would not back down from my convictions and «agreed» to let me take my cat home. MY CAT, WHO I HAD TO BASICALLY FIGHT THESE PEOPLE TO LEAVE ALIVE WITH! I paid my almost $ 500 bill, signed some form that I was going against the vet’s advision, and took her home with perscribed antibiotics and pain meds. I stayed up with her the rest of the night as she continued to purr and pump her feet indicating she was comfortable until she fell asleep. I finally fell asleep myself only to be awoken shortly after by ANIMAL CONTROL AT MY HOUSE. They had some sort of a mandate, instigated by this horrible «animal care» facility, that my cat must be put down and actually signed off by a vet as deceased or it would be a matter for the police! My regular vet, who has been open 30 years, had never heard of such a thing. I can’t talk about the rest, it took me months to even be able to write this, but it had to be said. If you’re not prepared to kill your pet, don’t EVER step foot inside this place. You just might end up being charged with ANIMAL ABUSE. What a smack to the soul. I wrote this in loving memory of my cat:

I drive here from Long Beach for 24 HourCare if an emergency happens! Their professionalism, kindness and fairness in price is second to none. Now we also come here for the excellent care by Dr Colleen Tansey. She is the best Oncologist ever. My family appreciates her love and care for Zoe. Heather her assistant is so kind too.
When here, I know my pets are receiving excellent care. Thank you. I wish I could give more than 5 Stars.

This place is horrible took my cat here and got talked down to like I was a horrible person cause I couldn’t spend 3000 on my cat, which was way over priced to begin with. They prey on your feelings since you love your pet to take all the money you have. I then went to get a second opinion and saw Dr wu at archibald pet hospital and payed 150 dollars and a solution to his problem. Stay away from this place I wouldn’t even give it a star if that was possible.

This place is horrible.
My dog was very sick and having brought her here for an emergency visit in 2010, I figured I would take her back. What a mistake!
First, there was nobody at the check in counter and it took me a bit to look to the side and see a doorbell to ring. When someone is coming in with a deathly ill pet, we just don’t have time!
We had to wait about 10 minutes before even getting called back into an exam room.
The vet took her sweet time and immediately started talking numbers. She didn’t offer to try to make my dog comfortable whatsoever.
You can’t put a price on saving your loved one but we just weren’t prepared for the cost. I was not prepared to pay at least $ 2,000-$ 3,000, especially since the vet didn’t have a sense of urgency or an understanding manner.
She didn’t even have the decency to talk to us directly or thoroughly about treatment but instead sent in one of the techs. When we informed them we were not going to agree to their treatment plan, they took forever to come back with forms for us to sign.
$ 68 emergency exam fee was a waste of money and the time we spent here was a waste of valuable time, time we didn’t have.
If your pet is experiencing an emergency, I recommend you take them elsewhere. I took my dog to VCA in Upland which is open ²⁴⁄₇ and provided excellent care.

We brought our dog here after being attacked by another dog and we felt that her wound needed some urgent care. We brought her in and the place seemed pretty empty, so we expected to see a vet soon.
Pros — The front desk personnel took us to a room within less than 10 minutes of arrival.
Cons — We never saw the vet even once, and were forced to wait for more than two hours. We never received any updates on how long the ETA for the vet was going to be.
We eventually got tired of waiting and decided that we could treat the cut wounds with antibacterial ointments and put a bandage on it and monitor it closely for infections. We could not sit there and watch her tremble any longer because she was also fearful of the new environment.
I would recommend this place to make improvements on updating their clients waiting for service, that way at least the clients are aware of estimated wait time rather than watching minutes go by and turn to hours of wait without anyone providing any sort of update.
This place would not be my first choice of taking my animal for any urgent care needs. I will seek help elsewhere next time.

Don’t go here they will cheat you with no results, I spent money on no solutions, oh but I did have the vet ask if I get high and maybe got my dog high, ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! No I do not use drugs but can you tell me Wtf is wrong with my dog without you trying to cheat me. I will be visiting Dr. butchko tomorrow.

I went to inland valley emergency pet clinic in upland 10w. West street upland, california 91 786. They charged me for a Parvo testing with negative result and further testing in which I denied and so I took my pet into my own family vet and then they tested positive for Parvo. They said they will not refund. They are not doing good business and only for the money.
Please teach your companies to do right.

I can’t say thank you enough for the love, kindness and sensitivity that was shown to me and my father tonight by Dr. Kim and her wonder women team. We were blessed to have run into a safe haven such as this one (Inland Valley Emergency Vet). A company should be very proud of the way their staff showed compassion to two very distressed individuals. I can’t thank you enough for showing our Brady the way to a peaceful passing. And thank you for allowing me to be a part of the process. That will be a moment that will be cherished forever. Thanks again staff. You guys are amazing. We are very grateful.

Just took my dog for check up since his eye turned cloudy all of a sudden. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The faicility was very clean. The whole visit probably took about 2 hours.
Dr. Rowland took time to explain everything and kept coming back to us to keep us updated. She was very nice and I can tell she knew what she was doing!
Our total came out to less than 250 $ for check up, a diagnostic exam, two antibiotics, one eye drops the other some pills and pain meds.

My experience here was amazing! Took my dog in because she was having seizures and they took her right away, did whatever he had to do to make her comfortable and make her feel calm. I love how compassionate the dr is with the animals, and the staff is great too.
I’m sure the prices are a bit pricey but you have to do what you can to help your pet but was most amazing was I told the dr I literally only had a certain amount of money to pay for services and he accepted that! In my opinion he isn’t in the animal business for the money, he really just wants to help our fur babies!
