Upland Shoe Repair

I took two shoes in to be repaired. A boot with the heel coming off and a canvas espadrille with the elastic strap unstitched. After a week, I picked up my shoes. Boot was ok, a little glue ooze, but ok. The canvas shoe is navy blue. He stitched the strap with light blue thread. And left the other tear unfixed. When I pointed it out, he said, «you didn’t mention this when you brought it in». Ummm… It’s all the same repair. He huffed and puffed and agreed to fix it. Another week later, I went to pick up the shoe and he hadn’t fixed it. He said he didn’t know how. He then proceeded to put in a jute stitch. The strap lasted an hour and a half. NEVER AGAIN.
I went back to ABC Shoe repair in the Sunrize Plaza on Baseline and Carnelian… Where I’ve gone for 14 years. Michael fixed the shoe perfectly. So much for a «spur of the moment» fix. I’m sorry ABC.

Absolutely horrid service. Rude owner. I was supposed to pick up my shoes on friday and i went on saturday and they still weren’t ready. I was then told to either «take it or leave» and basically kicked out of the store. Terrible.

I had called prior to coming in but I needed a same day professional shoe shine for men’s dress shoes. Luckily the owner had no issue with that and said I could come in any time during that day and he would shine them on the spot. He was kind, quick, and accomadating. The shoes came out nice too, all the scuffs were gone and they shined!

Local spot to bring shoes to be repaired. I needed my old nike basketball shoes repaired and requested that the shoe needed attention on the back half due to the glue being undone. The shoes have been in a box since 2006. Yes I know I could buy a new pair but why when I’ve worn the shoes no more than 5 times. The lady there wrote down my requests and when I picked up my shoes it seemed like nothing was done to «repair» my shoes. Glue was added to the sole and that was it. I was expecting a renewed pair of shoes but what i got was advice and some glue. I knew the shoes were old in age but not old in use. If you need a shoe repaired go here with caution. If I knew I would be paying 8 bucks for glue I would of bought the glue myself so at least I had glue for the future use. That’s my $.02.

I was so sad when I ruined 2 purses (stitched and zipper problems) and when my heel came off on a night out on the town. I took all my things to this shoe shop. The worker fixed my shoe (made them look brand new, buffed and shiny. My purses went from $ 10 back to $ 65! Thank goodness! I was so happy!

Terrible service!!! Terrible service!!! Owner gets sick and doesn’t even call the customer to inform them. At least he could have changed the answer machine or posted a note on the business. Terrible experience!!! I would never go there again!

I was glad to find a shoe repair in Upland since I am into supporting local business. The owner (?) is very nice. The shop is very dirty, this extends to the customer area. I dropped my suitcase off to repair the zipper on a Tuesday, promised on Thursday. It was not ready Thursday. I went back Saturday, closed. Due to my hectic schedule, I could not get back until the following Thursday; not open. Went twice on Saturday, not open. I ‘assumed’ he went on vacation or maybe was sick. However, as a customer it is very frustrating to show up at a business during posted business hours to find the business closed.
When I was finally able to pick up my suitcase, it smelled of cigarette smoke :(I don’t smoke & detest the smell. I’ve been going to shoe repair shops for many, many decades & never have I had my belongings smell like cigarettes.
1 star for the owner’s friendliness.
While the art of shoe repair has faded & good shoe repair shops are hard to find, I will not be returning to this establishment.

After experiencing the horrible experience at the previous shoe shop (see my other review…) i was crossing my fingers for better. NOT. This joint closed 25 minutes before closing time. COME ON PEOPLE! If you say your gonna close at 5:00, don’t close at 4:30. Ugh. It’s hard finding good service. And at this point, finding OPEN service.

Randy’s extended many lives on several of my shoes… And quickly, at that!

Does great work. fixed my Allen Edmonds shoes and made them like new. New owner is friendly and a great guy.
