One star for the pharmacy alone. Dropped off a prescription. Was told 15 – 20 minutes. Putted around the store for said amount of time frame. Then sat in the chairs outside the pharmacy. 50 minutes later the same lady who took my prescription called me up just to tell me they were out of my medication. SERIOUSLY? They should check stock before making someone waste an hour of their time.

This Tremont Road location Walgreens came to my aid and aided in my survival of this wicked flu-bug of 2012 — 2013. But let’s focus on what’s very good about this location: Pharmacy/pharmacist. Today your pharmacist is becoming more and more important in playing a role in personnel health. Government heathcare will likely ask more and more consulting be done. At Walgreens/Tremont, my pharmacist is great. She advised me on ridding myself of the post-flu chest congestion offering strong suggestions on cough & expectorant medication. She also gave me a partial subscription fill, charging only for what was dispensed, and then called me to tell me the balance of the ‘scrip was filled and to stop in for the balance. Nice service that makes me comfortable with what goes on behind the counter at Walgreens/Tremont. The rest of the drugstore/shop is standard fare. They do a good job of keeping lines moving by asking«next in line» to go to the film area or the beauty supplies area. Hardly ever any waiting. I buy holiday and special occassion cards at Walgreens and they’ve got a good selection. A pint of Haagen Daaz sometimes ends up in the bag, too. Walgreens/Tremont is right around the corner from home for me. Location! When it comes to illness, ‘scrips and getting there and back home again… this one wins for me.

Pretty standard Walgreens. Clean and well-maintained. The pharmacist was nice and very helpful.
