I would have gone 5 stars but the parking can be horrible most of the time. Being the only Asian market of this size in the area(without venturing into the city) The H Mart is great for finding almost anything you need that you can’t find in the large suburban grocery stores. On the weekends there are also usually a good number of places through-out the store handing out samples of items to try(who doesn’t love free samples?). The food court upstairs is also a 5 star reason to go. A great selection of various foods and all at decent prices.

Great selection of Oriental food. They have a nice food court upstairs the only downfall is the staff can be rude sometimes and the parking outside can be ridiculous.

As a Korean, food court foods are not good as the one in Cheltenham Hmart. They have various different kinds of food, but they are just ok. If you want good Korean food, I recommend you to try other places

Coming from West Philadelphia, this is definitely the go-to-place for anything Korean, and is super close walking distance from the last stop on the el. It is complete with a food court and small household appliance store upstairs. Kimchi is a bit expensive, but I really have no clue where else to go.

Exactly everything you’re looking for in an asian grocery store. Love the prices on seafood and produce. Great variety.

There are nearly two months after my last visit to hmart. This time, the parking lot opposite to the corner have a guy to manage it. The guy at the parking lot is terrible, mad and rude. I’m driving to hmart today, and trying to park to the parking lot at the opposite street corner of the market. The guy gave me a small paper with handwrting time and asked me to take it and stamp it after I purchase in the hmart. I didn’t hear clearly and leave the piece of paper in the car.(I was thinking this ticket just indicate the time I’m entering the parking lot, in case I’m not parkingfor more than two hours.) After I finish shopping and pull my car to the exit of parking lot, I gave the paper to the guy. And then he ask me very rude, saying that «What do you think I give the ticket to you?!» Me– «I was thinking it is used to show that I didnt park more than 2 hours.» And then he ask me «where’s your hmart receipt?!» VERYLOUDLY. I told him it was in the back in my shopping bags. And then he begin to yell at me! «GOTOGETIT! AREYOUTHEFIRSTTIMEPARKHERE? CANYOUUNDERSTANDENGLISH?» «TAKEYOURECEIPT, OTHERWISE I WILLGIVEYOU A TICKET!!» The guy was so rude and mad. I just don’t understand what’s wrong with him. It was a terrible shopping experience. I will never come to this hmart again.

Love HMart! This one is better than the one on York. Today was my first day going but from first glance parking might be a little tricky. There’s spots in the front but depending on when you go the spots fill up fast. The employees there are very kind and are willing to answer questions about any of their free samples.

This is my go-to place for korean/asian groceries. I’ve been shopping here since they first opened. I have no issues with it. I just wish it was larger like the Hmart in NE Philly. The 2nd floor has a food court with traditional korean food, dumplings, sushi, and a bakery. The bakery is just ok. I’m really excited about the Missha cosmetics store they opened! There is also another cosmetics store and random item store that you can explore(both located on the 2nd level)… There’s free 2 hr parking across the street if you get your ticket stamped from Hmart(proof of purchase). There is also metered parking in front of the store, but they’re all usually taken, fyi. I would recommend that you make a rewards card with them because you can accumulate points based on your purchases to earn discounts!

I love eating the hot Korean dishes upstairs. This is the store’s saving grace. However, I have purchased raw fish here on several times. Somehow they managed to burst the gallbladder when cleaning the fish and the meat is spoiled when cooked. Parking is terrible by the way.

This is the worse HMart I have ever been to in my life! I went to pick up some greens for dinner and a few other things, but only walked out with 1 thing. The watercress was wilted and tons of ice was packed on top of it, so trying to dig through the box and find a piece was not working well. I then tried to do some mustard greens — again wilted and soaked. Do you guys put everything on ice here??? So, then I decided maybe i’ll just do a potato and carrot soup with spareribs for dinner instead. The potatoes had eyes, so I knew they were on the verge of going bad, and the spare ribs were just beyond expensive! So there goes my dinner plans. I then walked to the fishcakes area where I get to scoop my own for a set price. I love the one in Jersey bc they give you so many varieties(regular ones and stuffed ones). This one had only about 4 choices. I got a few scoops(less than what I usually get elsewhere), but during checkout, the price was MADHIGH! Wth happened? Is your scale off? I paid the price of what I would have paid if I got 3x more in NJ. Oh, and what makes this location even worse is that you have to pay meter to go shopping! I will never ever be back to this location.

I just went shopping here today! OMG I miss Korean food so much. It took me 50 minutes to get here from Exton. I bought some fresh veggies and some kimchi. I really wanted Dukbokki but I was rushing to buy stuff cause the parking is metered. Luckily I parked in a spot that someone had extra time. I didn’t have quarters with me so I booked it. Honestly, I can see how this parking might be really bad. I wish they had free parking. I’m already buying their food. Anywho, this is probably gonna be my go to shopping place.

You will find all the oriental products you can’t find in your neighborhood ACME/Giant/etc. in this supermarket. They also have a large selection of various fresh meats/poultry/seafood and fruits/vegetables. Food court on the second floor is very affordable and delicious as well. They also have stores inside the market that sells different Korean products(beauty/clothes/bedding/bakery/bank/etc.)

I reside in University City so this is the closest thing to an asian super market. Albeit the place is a bit confusing, there is a great selection. The upstairs food court is also a great plus. Great korean food for rinsable prices and a big dining area. When buying food, keep an eye out for items past their expiration date. I picked up a bag of chips and didn’t notice the«best before» date was 3 months ago. My friend also bought a giant box of seaweed that was also past its best-before-date

Yes! I love going to H Mart when I’m in need of Asian — specific grocery items. Their prices aren’t bad, but the quality is very high for most all of their products. You can also find«American» items in here as well, not just Asian/Korean grocery products. Just don’t expect to see a Shop Rite variety of American grocery items. The quality of their beef and other meats is very high, if not a little pricey. Most of the meats are pre — sliced, so you’re paying a premium there. They have a good variety of fish, and usually can find hard to find things there, too, like fish heads. They seemed pretty fresh, as well. Only negative is that when they get busy, it’s REALLY busy, and the aisles aren’t wide enough for everyone. Parking, even on non busy days, is a big hassle. There’s only a limited amount of spaces in the front, and they’re all metered.

The food court upstairs is the main reason I come here but the snack aisle is a pitstop I must always go through. They got rid of the chips that I REALLYREALLY like though! More like the chips I was obsessed with!(t. t) They also got rid of the cold noodles I liked … but I found those in the H Mart in Jersey. We never park in the lot directly connected with the supermarket because there usually isn’t an open space and it would be harder to navigate. You can park on the street or in the lot across the street. $ 1 will get you about 2 hours which is great!

I love the restaurants that are in the top floor of the grocery store. The food is decently priced and is VERY good Korean food. There is just the right level of spiciness to it, and the portion size is spectacular. I also enjoy the mini food court style of seating, and the casual atmosphere. I would totally recommend everyone in the area to try the place out!

I visited the H Mart for the first time last Sunday after having spent years passing it by on SEPTA. I wanted to see what it was all about, so in I went with my hubby in tow. We noticed the escalators leading up to the second floor right away. We knew this was an Asian-themed supermarket, and we assumed groceries were up there, too, so we went up the escalator to check it out. To our vast surprise, we found a food court up there instead! With every kind of Asian delicacy you could ask for! Sorry, but there was no way we were leaving without getting our eat on, so I ordered a yummy Korean shrimp salad. My hubby enjoyed his entrée, too. We were ecstatic to have found this hidden gem and amazed that we hadn’t known about it until then. After lunch, we browsed the supermarket downstairs. The produce all looked fresh, and the store was clean and well-organized. We will definitely come back again for lunch or dinner and maybe even some food shopping, too!

This place is great for Korean ingredients and most all Asian ingredients, or regular ingredients alike. Prices were fair — got some good deals on apples for 99cents/lb, Chinese spinach at 99 cents/lb. Their selection on veggies is great as all Asian marts should be, Chinese broccoli, Chinese celery, eggplant, chive flowers, bean sprouts everything you can think of. They even had rambutan(which is listed as lychee). similar but not the same. All their produce I found to be very fresh. Selections of fish and meat were great too. THe salmon was much fresher than I’ve seen at Fresh Grocer, and fairly priced. Lots of fish, crab, shrimp to choose from. And meat wise, they have oxtail, pork belly and all that jazz you could ask for. They also often have lots of free samples, yay! Upstairs is a food court which serves very solid food. I’ve gotten Jampong, their dumplings, soondubu, bulgolgi and sushi upstairs. Everything is solid, it’s good for what it is. which is a food court. Dishes are decently inexpensive, usually less than $ 10. Hungry now just thinking about it!
