Only stopped in briefly to use the restroom and subsequently get a beer because… why not? The bartender, a black woman, was nice. I can tell they were busting stones a little because I was an outsider(and a white girl lolololo), but I wouldn’t mind drinking there for a few hours. Fair prices and a laid back, chill clientele.

This started out the way most great finds do, i didnt mean or want to go there. I work a few blocks away at the UD Pathmark. My intention was to drive up the street to the local pizza shop but parking was scarce, except in front of Rudys Tavern known as a dive bar. I thought, «its 11:30am they wont mind if i park here» Sure enough one of the bartenders was pulling in just as i got out of the car. «Hey come on in!» «Uh Ok Do you make cheesesteaks?» I asked hoping she would say no. «we sure do come on in!» so i had no choice. the place was a dive, not that there was anything wrong with that, fine for a drink or two but lunch? The ladies running the place were incredibly nice and friendly. they made my cheesesteak and fries in under 10 min. I thanked them and left with my heavy sack feeling explosive diahrea was imminent. It was actually one of the best cheesesteaks ive ever had. The bread(which as we know makes the sandwich) was perfect crispy yet not stale. The meat cheese onion ratio was also perfect. the taste was sublime. i went back a few more times to make sure it wasnt a fluke and it was just as good each time. of course there was the explosive diahrrea oh yes dear readers there was but was it worth it oh yes
