If you’re the least bit fussy about your haircut, this is probably not a good option. Probably fine for«getting your ears lowered». But otherwise, it’s worth skipping. The quality of the cut isn’t as good as average. They aren’t particularly friendly or welcoming(if that’s even important). It’s difficult to determine if the individual TV sets are for the customer or cutter.

Danny and Pam are my saviors. They always do a superb job on my hair! I travel all over the world for work and am constantly surrounded by high profile people, so looking my best is a must. When it is time for a cut(every two weeks sometimes more) I always slip in to see them if I am in town. Friendly always and they both listen to what you as the customer want done to YOUR hair. Always the best conversations too, which is a plus. Love them!

Came in last week for my haircut, the place was pretty much empty and no one was working there except two women, one of whom stated matter-of-factly«I’m on break» when the other one asked her if she could take me since the woman who asked was working on a gentleman who was already there. You can imagine, I felt the customer service was bloody fantastic right then and there. Said gentleman then came later to the counter to pay when his beard trim and haircut were done and his haircutter didn’t seem to know or be in line with the way things are priced at the establishment she works for since the man told her twice that he has always paid one certain amount for a beard trim as well as the haircut and that she shouldn’t be charging him more which she was. He had come twice before and been charged the same amount. Get the pricings right, people. Being new in town is no excuse and is actually more of a reason to have your sh*t together. Of course, God forbid any effort should have been made to get this man(clearly a loyal and paying customer) the rate that he had always paid. The«that’s supposedly what the big guys on top tell me to do» attitude takes greater precedence, apparently. But anyways, back to MY cut. Woman’s cutting technique was clumsy and she sprayed me with way too much water. I got a short cut that I desired, though. It is cool that you get to watch television while getting your haircut(though I couldn’t see because I had my glasses off during the cut, as they ask. They’re also always moving your head around) and DEFINITE brownie points for the relaxing and soothing massage you get at the end. Amazing, but still not enough to get me to give this place one more star. I am not quite«a fan» and I probably won’t come back. I’ve received massages after a haircut before and can just as well go somewhere else and get the same extras for the same price or around that or even less. Also, I am not sure if the comment was in relation to me, but the same woman who said«I’m on break» walked past me as the woman who was doing her thing on my hair was working and I heard her say«that hair is a mess» or something along those lines because my hair was indeed thick and long; it had been quite a while since I’d last had it cut. Um, excuse me, but don’t sass your customers. Sorry, you’re not good enough.

This place is NOT closed. We come here every few weeks for haircuts for my toddler son, and recently his baby brother. Everyone here is very nice and professional. They do a great job, even on squirmy little ones.

I just got one of the worst haircuts I’ve ever gotten. To start with, for some reason the lady wanted my phone and cell phone number. There may have been a language barrier but what should have been«a little trim on top with scissors» became«hack at the top of my head for a good 10 minutes.» It’s way shorter than I asked for, there are little hairs sticking up everywhere that she missed, and the shape of my hair can now sort of be described as «if Christopher Walken asked for a buzz cut». For $ 18 you can find an independent barber nearby who will do a much better job. I seriously might have to run some clippers over my head on #2 to clean this up. It’s pretty much that short anyway, even on the top where I asked for scissors. I will give one extra star though for the hot towel and shampoo thing. That’s pretty relaxing. I needed it after seeing what they did to my head.

The first time I visited Pro-Cuts was during their soft opening, have been back many times since. It’s fast. convenient and they have free parking. Did I mention the free parking? They are located in Upper Montclair just next door to Olive That and More.

So I’m a guy. I don’t care about my hair, just keep it short, out of my eyes. Let me wake up without dealing with pillow head. How I look when I come out of a salon means nothing to me. So tonight, I was working in Upper Montclair. Work got slow so I thought, «I really should get my hair cut». I saw this place opened a couple months ago and they were right where I was working so I thought«why not multitask, get a haircut before closing up shop?» Unbelievable. Just saying. I have NEVER gone to a «beauty salon» or gone for a mani-pedi cure. But this place made me think twice about it. They seated me and put the remote in my hand, yes, in MY hand. So the baseball game went onto MYTV. So while I was watching the Red Sox lose(even better!), my hair was cut without me even noticing. When she finished(a great job BTW — but not that I care) then came the complimentary shampoo. A hot towel placed over my face(I felt like I was in first class on Cathay Pacific). It was more of a full head massage than a washing. I pretty much fell asleep in 3 minutes flat. Finally, after drying what was left of my hair, I was ready to leave. Oh, but no. You must subject yourself to a fabulous electric massage before being allowed to leave. REALLY? I can’t even get my wife to rub my shoulders after a long day. Forget it. This place is the ONLY place that will ever cut my hair again! Sorry everyone else. Just no comparison! Seriously. Oh, and did I mention? $ 18RIDICULOUS!

This place opened up a couple of months ago and my husband assumed it to be a very high-end place, to my surprise it was not. First timers get a coupon for their second cut. They keep a record of their customers so you can go back to the same stylist(even if you forget their name). And the place is open on sundays.
