I go there most mornings. I grab a sandwich to go. Home cooked eggs and sausage, scrapple, ham sandwiches. Beats royal farm microwave egg beaters! No cell phones and cash is king only. Other ppl here want to trash them I say go to McDonald or royal farms! Don’t trash this old school nook!

A non-local I was looking for a quaint breakfast spot to stop and grab a quick bite. I like this place because it’s a trip back in time. The staff was friendly and timely in preparing your food. There is a no cell phone policy but from someone who is always on their phone — I didn’t mind. It was a refreshing break. Good coffee, wonderfully seasoned scrambled eggs, fluffy pancakes and a decent sausage pattie. I prefer links but understand the pattie makes sense for all the breakfast sandwiches they offer. To be clear, this breakfast won’t blow your mind but for what it is, it’s very good. I’d always prefer to a Denny’s or more commercial spot. Eggs tasted very fresh and pancakes were solid. Healthy portions vs oversized. I’m not a huge fan of the styrofoam plates/cups and plastic forks but also understand this is how they keep costs down. Definitely give them a shot. Beyond the food, I really enjoyed slowing down for a bit, people watching and reflecting on how it’s nice that places like this still exist ~ Mom & Pop style joints that preserve a simpler time. Cash only so hit a bank beforehand if need be. Hope you enjoy!

Since I live just down the street form Elmoe’s, and generally favor small mom and pop restaurants I wanted to like this place. The No Cell Phones sign on the front door was the first sign that this place doesn’t much care about their customer. I sat at the counter and ordered french toast. Imagine my disappointment when I see the cook get my meal out of the freezer. To be fair, this is not a bad place to grab a sausage egg and cheese on your way to work, but thats about it.

Love Elmo’s! Basic food, amazing people and a great price. Nettie is a sweetheart(don’t tell her I said that!). Our 3 year old loves their sausage, egg and cheese sandwiches. The ham and cheese omelette is amazing too! No cell phones allowed and no credit cards accepted. That just adds to the charm!

Food is fairly priced and the quality is good. Getting your food on disposable plates and plastic forks kind of turns me off. You pay for restaurant food to eat out I could make bacon, eggs and toast on a paper plate myself. May seem like a small thing but buy real plates and silverware. Also in today’s age not having credit capabilities is not good. Stick to IHOP or Denny’s.

Great place to get breakfast. Omelets, bacon, pancakes, french toast. the usual suspects. All expertly prepared, all served on disposable plates and consumed with provided plastic wear. They advertise homemade chipped beef in gravy, but they were unfortunately out. I say unfortunately because, if the chipped beef is as good as the(locally prepared) scrapple I had, then it’s a true shame that I missed it. I’ll definitely be back to find out. Cash only, not open weekends.
