The Restaurant at Clark-Lindsey Village is not to be missed, although since it is a private club many of you will be disappointed when you attempt to make a reservation. The only way to dine here is to be a resident of the elite private community, or the personal guest of a resident. The ambiance is very calm and soothing, with a delightful view of the courtyard at the center of the complex. Overall the food is excellent. The menu is limited to a short list of specialties and a personal selection of the chef, with a varying assortment of side dishes. It’s kind of a prix-fxe deal, so once you are there feel free to load up on as many sides and deserts as you can. It is common to order three deserts, for example: pie, ice cream, and a cookie. Cookies are commonly spirited away in oversized handbags or baggy trousers. Personal favorites include the Jello, quiche, hamburgers, and cookies. Some diners may have trouble with mastication, in which case«pre-chewed» food is an available option at no extra cost. The wait staff is, in my opinion, among the best in town. They are young, attractive, engaging, and efficient.
