Great little burger joint with a long history in town. The staff is always friendly and the food is a favorite treat. And no meal is complete without the addition of Mumford’s chips.

This is one of those places only the locals know about but really fun stop. They make deep fried burgers. Little ones so you get to eat a bunch of them. I loved it and plan to stop again when I come through. Worth the stop.

Yes, yes, yes! This place is Urbana’s gem. The hamburger sliders are so delicious and affordable. I love how they still serve coke and root beer in glass bottles. They also have pies and candies.

I always loved their burgers when I worked on Urbana a few years ago and my wife and I moved farther away and had not went there until today. Sorry I have to say this but burgers were very disappointing. They changed the buns they once served and now you cant taste the burger as the bun takes over the show and not in a good way. Totally disappointed

I grew up in St. Paris, and was in Urbana all the time to visit my grandma… who lives right across the street from Crabills. This little shop was a tastey part of my childhood. It has been compared to White Castle, but that is just insulting. White Castle is horrible. Now that I’ve moved to Canton, it’s been since –I don’t know how many– years that I’ve been there. I can’t wait till my next family visit so I can come here again, and share my experience with my boyfriend who has never been here.

So, this is probably one of my favorite places on the planet to eat. Growing up in Urbana, I think I took them for granted. I can remember going to the old location on the north side of town like 25 – 30 years ago. Now that I’m about 50 minutes away, I crave it all of the time. I try to stop in just about every time I’m back in town. FYI, it’s CASHONLY! First off, the burgers are really small. They’re fried in grease and absolutely amazing little patties of delicious. I HATE calling them«sliders». Call me crazy, but«sliders» make me think of any other sub-par average mini burger you can get damn near anywhere. Crabill burgers are in a class all their own. «Everything» on the burgers is the house mustard(which should have it’s own Unilocal page) onion, relish & a dash of salt. Trust me, you want to get them this way. I prefer to get doubles with everything because the bun to burger ratio is way too high on the singles. I definitely recommend you try one of their hot dogs w/everything & hot sauce. The dogs are cooked in the same grease. They’re amazing as well. If you’re coming through Urbana, you really should make it a point to stop in for some greasy goodness.

Ive been getting Crabill’s since I was a young boy. My dad and I would get some from their trailer and then go to watch the demolition derby at the county fair… These are really good burgers. Some of my family say they’re just too greasy for them and while they are greasy, they are really really good! Similar look to a White Castle burger or to Krystals but the comparison taste wise… well there is none. Those are crap whereas this one is really good and even after the fairly recent price hike, its still a good deal. Get a double with like a brown mustard and ketchup with a stewarts orange cream or a mountain dew and youre good! They also have chips, soup, and pie to go along with your burgers! Its definately a must if youre passing through or new to the area!

Great sliders… cheap…so good. I stop everytime I go through Urbana. I get single with ketchup & onions. Serves Coke in little bottles. Got 4 sliders & a coke for $ 5. Small bar inside with about 5 stools. Drive thru. Definitely worth it. Make sure to a extra one cause no matter what you will want another.

Best place to eat in Urbana, hands down! These are the original sliders and they are amazing. The restaurant itself seats about 6 people at the counter and that’s it. They do have a drive thru, but take this piece of advise– order ahead and run inside to pick up. They do not cards, so be prepared with cash. This is a small, family owned joint that has been a staple for as long as I’ve been alive. Another tip– don’t set the paper bag of burgers on your lap even though they are double bagged– it is sure to soak through with all the grease! If you’re ever in town, stop by!

Hands down, Crabill’s makes the bester burgers around! The meat is so tender it just melts in your mouth, the flavor is fantastic and they come as sliders so you can eat a bunch of them!

I grew up on these, when I come back it’s a guarantee stop hungry or not. The burgers are great can’t be duplicated they remind you of white castle burgers but so much better. Their chilli dogs are awesome as well not a bad thing about this place. My only complaint is not having enough room for more food after I am done lol

I grew up about 15 minutes from this place and heard about it most of my life. My only regret was I had not tried it until now. The small restaurant is cute but very small. They have a drive thru but I would recommend going inside to check it out. The menu is small but the food is good. The burgers are cooked fresh on a flat stove, similar to White Castle, but fresh and a whole lot better. They marinade in the juice before being placed on a fresh bun. The toppings range from plain to cheese with onion, ketchup, mustard, relish… sorry no pickles but you won’t miss them. I would suggest getting doubles no matter what. These burgers were juicy and amazing, especially for the price. If you are getting it to go and driving a bit, have them triple bag it. The juices will find their way through the bag in no time. Which in this case only added to the freshness and sign of tastiness saturation of the greatest, smallest burger I have ever had. If your any where close to Urbana, make it a point to check this place out. Make sure to bring cash, they do not except cards.

We had heard about this place from friends and were in the area and decided we had to check it out. First, this place is TINY!!! So grab it to go if you’re with a large party. They also have a drive thru if you’re not eating in. However, my advice is to eat in at the bar(the only place to sit) for the total experience. The grill is out in the open and you can watch your burgers grill up in all their juices. They only serve hamburgers, cheeseburgers and hot dogs(oh and pies and chips), with ketchup, brown mustard, relish and onions as your only topping options. But man – these things are good. We took other Unilocalers’ advice and ordered doubles with cheese. DOTHIS! I would absolutely go back again, these are some crave-worthy little sliders.

I love Crabill’s. Their sliders are bar none, and the service is usually very friendly. My only complaint is how cramped it is, having more than a few people in there at once makes it very uncomfortable. The taste of the burgers more than make up for it however. I have been to Crabill’s more than once and will continue to go.

Classic hamburger shop with a delightful take on the American Classic. Skip the chains around town, this is the real deal. Like stepping back in time. The food is excellent, and the atmosphere is perfect for all ages.

I’ve been going to Crabill’s for years when I have time to make the drive to Urbana. These are hands down the greatest burgers in Ohio and the prices are great. If you’re near Urbana and you don’t stop here you’re doing yourself a disservice.

Crabill’s to me is the definition of the word«Hamburger». No other has ever come close to Crabill’s in my mind and most likely never will. The closest thing I can compare this to when explaining to some one is «White Castle but good». Saying that though, they are not even on the same page. If you want a true experience get it with everything(although I don’t normally get cheese).

If sliders had a Grandpa, then their name would be Crabill’s. The family will usually make a few trips over to Urbana to get some of these tiny sliders. Although, I’m no longer fond for Crabill’s like many people, they’re still pretty tasty, and yeah, you’ll probably catch yourself craving them from time to time. *** TIP– If you just order one of their standard burgers, then it’ll appear small, and overtaken by the buns, so this is why I usually tell people to buy double, because you get double the ground beef to melt in your mouth. NOTE: Out of towners, Crabill’s is no more than a tiny shack that can only accommodate no more than ten people at a time. Yes, you heard me, so if you’re bringing the family, then it might be wise to bring a van, because I can assure you, you’ll end up having to get Crabill’s to go. Last but not least on my notes of the famous Crabill’s these suckers are freakin GREASY! So, beware, because most time the Grease will seep through the brown paper bag, and in fact, I’ve seen the Grease disintegrate through the bottom of bags, but isn’t that the thrill about eating things that are undoubtedly obvious that they’re nowhere near healthy.

Crabill’s is what I think of when someone asks me about Urbana. Greasy slider burgers, with everything on it. The seating is minimal, the workers are friendly, and it damn near feels like a bar with how friendly the average patron is. If you are in Urbana, this is a must visit establishment.
