Definitely a cool experience, I got the S’mores doughnut. I wish they had more cake doughnuts! A little overpriced, too.

I do not have a sweet tooth but I get a craving for sweets once in a while. From many days I was longing for doughnuts. After going through reviews on Unilocal,I decided to try doughnuts from pandamonium. I decided on flavors while on my way to the truck. But for some insane reason I decided on buying 10 doughnuts for just the 2 of us. I don’t know what I was thinking. Guess, I wasn’t. Anyways, bought 6 S’mores, because in reviews many mentioned it as their favorite, 2 orange pistachio and 2 vanilla. I was so happy on my way back home and immediately tried one with hot coffee. With the first bite, I felt as if someone has betrayed me. Dissapoinment started running through my veins. Ok, I’m exaggerating a bit, but only because I had so much hopes from this doughnut. I was little disappointed with s’mores. First of all too sweet for my palate, secondly the texture was not soft and melt in your mouth, and lastly I did not find anything special in it to justify the price. So, all in all it was an average doughnut for me. Now, I have 8 of them sitting in my refrigerator and my husband is daring me to eat all of them. Guess, this time I will give it a pass and let my husband win. But only this time.

We are one of those families that stay in the long line for a box of great doughnuts. The kids also love to have them as treats for their birthdays at school. They are more popular than good cupcakes in town.

I’ve become a doughnut stalker. I wait for the Pandamonium Doughnut truck at the farmer’s market, then linger there through several gooey, sticky, doughnutty treats. Later, I find it parked outside the Krannert Center and try to strike up a conversation with the person behind the counter. «So, you been making doughnuts a long time?» The reply comes swiftly: «Are you going to order?» Sometimes I revel in the fruity doughnuts. Other days, it’s a chocolate bomb of doughnutty delight. A warning to the weak: Pandamonium can overly caress their doughnuts with sugary accessories such as gummy bears and candy, and those I try to avoid. When you eat as many doughnuts as I do, stalking the truck by day and night, you’ve gotta draw the line somewhere.

The owner apparently likes ‘yeast style’ «donuts» which are more like jelly pastries — very very sweet! But their cake-style donuts(aka the real donuts) are delicious– Get the Double Blueberry, Earl Grey Meyer Lemon, or their signature Matcha donuts. Those are delicious with a nice subtle sweetness and highlighted flavor of the ingredient. Service is nice but it is too expensive.

Is there really such a thing as a «gourmet» doughnut? Pandamonium’s daily menu & changing location keeps you on your feet. I’m not a huge fan of too sweet, and often the doughnuts are too sweet or soft for me. Once in a while you’ll get more subtle flavors like blueberry or earl grey, and those are the ones worth waiting for in my case. Absolutely love the texture and flavor of the matcha doughnut. Overpriced? It’s definitely not Dunkin Doughnuts. Sometimes you have to brave the cold while waiting in line. Sometimes you won’t like any of the day’s flavors at all. Then again, where else can you buy a gourmet doughnut?

Fantastic place to get breakfast or a filing morning snack. The doughnuts are handcrafted and preservative free. They’re not that busy on weekdays either, but if there’s a popular flavor on the menu it will sell out fast. Their menu chases every day so sometimes they may not have something on your taste pallet but overall they’re great doughnuts!

I definitely enjoyed the doughnuts I got from here. We came early and managed to get whatever we wanted for the day. Standouts were the chocolate peanut butter cup, gingerbread, the maple bacon fritter, and, believe it or not, the simple cinnamon sugar doughnut. I was disappointed they didn’t have the s’more doughnut and hope to be back to try it. However, at the end of the day, these were just good quality doughnuts and not terribly special. The price is a little high as well. After all the type, I was slightly let down, but I will probably be back someday to try other flavors.

Every donut I have had here is incredible. The carmel apple fritter and smores donut are my top two favorites. Cranberry pistachio and chocolate covered strawberry are also great. Staff are very friendly and donuts are always very fresh. Get a punch card, because you’ll keep coming back. :)

I have ate here multiple times and I have never had a bad experience. There doughnuts are always fresh and fantastic. My favorites are the cookies and cream and the smores doughnuts.

Meh, I’ve experienced better is the perfect description. The donuts are meh. The earliest I’ve gotten a donut is about 10am and they tasted old, not sure if they are made the night before or early in the morning but they definitely don’t taste fresh. Maybe even 2 days old(Maybe I’ve had bad luck? I gave them 3 tries). They are expensive too. You can get a really good donut at the grocery store for less than a dollar. It’s nice they have lots of flavors but without an ingredient list, I’m leery on trying again anyways.

I got vanilla beans and cinnamon sugar at Urbana Farmers Market. I was super excited about it expecting melting soft doughnut but it’s actually dense bread like doughnut. So due to my different expectation I was bummed. Though they were good doughnut. I don’t know about paying $ 2 each. They have variety of flavors.

Praise the Lord! These things are amazing. AND they have a gluten free option… :D So I went here early in the morning on a Saturday at the farmers market. They had a long line, but it was well worth the wait. I have the GF option and my husband got the chocolate overload. Both were spectacular. They sell out fast so if you plan to go its best to like them on Facebook and follow them on Instagram so you know where they will be. I will say that the only negative is that the donuts are not made in the truck. They obviously make them someplace in town and then drive to a location, so the donuts are not warm. If you dig Icelandic style donuts, this is not the place for you. But American style… this Pandamonium is perfect. They are friendly, fast and clean. Make this a food truck must if you visit CU.

THEE best doughnuts. Really, I’ve gone to Chicago, Portland, Seattle, New York, and back, and I still think these are the best. When I have any other donut I always gauge how good it is based on Pandamomium donuts

Not bad, but I think all of the flavors I tried(lemon poppy-seed, peanut butter chocolate, and pomegranate) were overly sweet for my taste. I know that I am talking about a donut, but these were so sweet that they made a Krispy Kreme seem like a stale piece of plain bread by comparison.

These doughnuts are my favorite in town. Or out of town. They have a fun selection and I love the consistency of the dough. I’ve only ever had yeast doughnuts, not cake(if they make those?). It’s a wonderful food truck and you’re supporting local business.

I actually expected too much from pandemonium donuts. I looked forward to my first donuts and actually was not too impressed. I got the double coconut and the birthday cake donut. The double coconut was actually really good, a tad too sweet but a donut is a donut. The birthday cake donut was actually kind of dry and salty for my taste… Also I gave it another star down because they forgot my order and served many people before me. I understand it’s busy but really???

It’s okay, but terribly overrated… I had the chocolate crumble and the dough was much too chewy.

Another great food truck on campus! After trying to grab doughnuts several times and them running out of the ones I wanted to try, I finally made it there bright and early the other morning to be sure I had any and all options available to satisfy the impulse sweet craving I sometimes get. I tried a chocolate crumble and wow, was this tasty! You can tell these are not institutionalized doughnuts, and the yeast-style ones are noticeably different from the cake-style most people are used to from places like Dunkin Doughnuts. The dough was nice and bready, the chocolate rich, and the crumble added good texture. A really well-put-together doughnut. Of course, they come at a price of $ 2 each, but that’s really not even bad if you only get one. For as often as I get doughnuts, the splurge is worth it. No doubt I will be back to try the other flavors. Awesome truck!

Tried the Irish crème, caramel delight, and thin mint donuts so far this week. All three were deeeelish! This food truck is totally worth finding in town! Friendly staff too.
