Charlie’s Pizza

Great food, great service. For such a small place they have a huge menu and everything that I have ever had in my few trips there has been really good. Highly recommend their wings. Good fplace for food if in Utica.

We are giving Charlie’s a break for a while. Lately the service has been horrible. Deliveries arrive 15 – 30 minutes after the states time. Our last delivery didn’t include the wings we ordered… The driver said they gave him the wrong order and the shop said the driver forgot them. Either way there wasn’t even an apology. Once the wings got delivered they were cold and they didn’t seem to be the quantity we ordered.
Their margarita pizza is great and their spicy bbq wings (if they let you order them that way — depends on who you speak with) are also excellent. We are just tired of the poor service lately. Maybe we will go back in a few months.

Horrible steak sub, dry as dry can be on at least 2 day old bread. Very skimpy on the steak which may be a good thing considering how tough it was. Not sure how this place stays in business.

This pizza is outstanding! Best in town and that is saying a lot. This hand tossed pizza is made by staff that have been there for years perfecting their craft. This is not a novice pizza shop. This is a serious pizza lover establishment. You will not find a better pizza.

The dough/​crust is the best. Never had anything but really delicious pizza here. The buffalo chicken wing pizza is to die for. My friend loves their gluten free pizza! The 12inch sizes are perfect for your own individual pizza. Friendly staff and always leave saying, «can’t wait to go back!»

Stopped in for lunch. Place was a little sketchy on the outside but the inside was nice. Had the fried raviolis for an app that were delicious. The marinara was also pretty good. We split a large pizza which was a good amount for three people. Good to go overall.

This place was spectacular! I got the fish fry and a bowl of mushroom soup! My family got lobster ravioli and chicken riggies! And the bread… YUM! I loved everything except the server was in a grumpy mood! My aunt talked me into getting a pastry… I’m so stuffed I’m ending this review with making you stop reading and go get ya some!

Good pizza, slow service. I’ve had Charlie’s Pizza before, but this was the first time I went to the North Utica location. Their pizza is quite tasty, so when I was passing through Utica, I decided to stop in. My order was taken quickly, but I think that they forgot about me, so while other patrons were being served (they have a good array of seating), my pizza was sitting, waiting, and not being served. It took them about 15 minutes to get a slice of pizza to me that had been done after a couple of minutes.

When I’m feeling like New York style pizza, this is where I go. Calzones to die for, and usually Wednesday (I think) it’s $ 1 off it something like that. Their twin pizza deal is fairly priced but you can only get plain, no toppings allowed. Overall place is very clean and never waiting too long

Very good pizza and nearly everything else on the menu. I’ve ordered a lot of take out from here. Love their pizzas. It’s a a pizzeria that just looks nicer than all the others in Utica. A large menu and always busy.

I used to like Charlie’s and had good luck with them. Not anymore. Unfortunately, I’m never going back. I ordered a pizza with broccoli. The broccoli was inedible: I’m not sure why; it wasn’t rotten. You just could not chew through it. It was way too fibrous. I returned the pizza and said I would like a refund, and I offered to pay for the two slices I had eaten. No deal. The guy at the counter, James, said he would have to call the owner at home in order to authorize a refund. And then he argued with me over and over about how the broccoli was fine. I guess I was wrong, though I got the impression he thought I was lying or something. Whatever.
Used to be good food. I don’t know what changed, and I don’t care. Really poor, demeaning customer service. Will never go back.

Ordered a buffalo chicken salad and the chicken was horrible. Chicken was tasteless, cold, soggy and had barely a hint of sauce. As for the rest of the salad, what can I say? Standard lettuce, a couple cucumbers and a few tomatoes with blue cheese dressing. Decent portion size, but no value at $ 9.
Ordered an antipasto to go last week and it was a joke. When I opened the container I found it half filled and missing everything that makes an antipasto an antipasto.
I give them two stars because I like the New York style pizza that they serve.

Good pizza. Great take-​out specials. Good subs and pasta, too.
