Was here for a private party a few weeks ago. Loved the atmosphere of this place. Very spacious but intimate for a large group. Food was delicious, drinks were great, staff was very courteous and welcoming. Great experience overall!

If you’re looking for a place to rent to host a party this place is ideal! Rich and his staff are amazing to work with. they opened up the space for us on a day they were closed, and even then the staff was friendly and accommodating to all of our needs! We used it for an after party for a friend’s wedding but it can accommodate for showers birthday parties etc. lovely atmosphere! Great location! Lots of street parking! Perfect downtown Utica location

What an incredible night! Huge shout out to Hatchy’s, their owner Rich, and their amazing staff for being so accommodating, friendly, helpful, and adaptable– above and beyond what we could ask for. Unilocalers, it is extremely hard finding a reasonably priced and GOOD venue in Metro Detroit. I went to several business and either did not hear back from people or was treated poorly. But Rich and his staff made everything so easy for us. From food and drinks, to allowing us to connect our music to their system(which led to dancing until 1am), they had everything we needed to make a memorable night. If you need a place to host a fantastic event, Hatchy’s is where it’s at! Thank you to all who helped make last night incredible!

If you are looking for a venue to host a casual event that can accommodate up to 150 people, this could be your place. We held a couple different hairshows here along with a number of small meetings this year. Rich, the owner is extremely accommodating and appreciates his customers. Our guests love this location! Great drink prices and good bar food! We will be back! We love keeping our business local!

Good looking place and good for a beer but the food was just alright. I probably wouldn’t come here again to eat. I was happy to see some local beers on the menu however.

5stars for the service, 2for the friend had burger, I went with corned beef. Both very average. Nothing that would make me come back. Had entertainment coupon, soo was not very pricey. maybe it is a better bar at night.

Something is off — they should be busier… I’ve had drinks several times which is fine. Never had the food. Service could certainly be improved… dramatically.

If it weren’t for the 20 cent wings, we would run far, far away from here and never come back. We used to have OK service, but for some reason the waitstaff(on Monday nights at least) has been overrun by rude waitresses.

After a small hiatus, we are back in the swing of things. Tonight we meandered to Hatchy’s in Utica, MI. We had a tag along guest with us as well, he was rockin some ballin(literally) gym attire. Hatchy’s has been on the radar for a while. We reconnoitered this joint a couple months back and it was as quiet as church mouse inside. Tonight started the same. By the time we left there were about 25 people enjoying the bar. Hatch’s has a mix of an industrial feel inside mixed with some really nice wood and glass work and sports memorabilia intertwined. The music though was barely audible, but it was made up for with the television at the table. Hatch’s has about 10 beers on tap and the special was $ 3 domestic talls, so a Coors light night it was. The burger selection was very decent and included a 1 lb burger for $ 15 that looked like a challenge. We chose not to accept. We did however indulge the bacon cheddar burger and the original Hatchy’s burgger. Both were ½ lb angus for right near $ 8. Original Hatchy’s– American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion Burger– 2.5 Price– 3.5 Service– 3.5 Overall– 2.5(someone doesn’t know how to figure an average) Bacon Cheddar– Thick juicy bacon(everyone likes bacon!) cheddar, lettuce, tomato, and onion Burger– 3 Price– 4 Service– 4 Overall– 3.8 Alena took care of us and was very nice. The no named gym rat in tow gobbled a cheeseburger sub(or something like that, no matter he isn’t in the club anyway) but it looked really good. Hatchy’s is a good place for a decent meal and drink for a low key night. At least when we have been there

This was my first, and last, visit to this establishment. While this place has potential in it’s location and available space, it is significantly wasted in its execution. Our waitress was one of the worst I’ve experienced in a bar/restaurant setting. Aside from her general unattached nature, which I assume is part of her personality, she showed very little interest in providing service to our table. I ‘attempted’ to order twice throughout the night; first was a simple basket of fries which went unremembered and had to be asked for again 15 minutes later. The second time, I asked for a menu twice and then we watched her walk passed our table several times without acknowledging our existence. We actually made a game out of it, counting how many times she would come and go without asking if we wanted to order. Being a waiter at a previous time in my life, I know what the service industry is like. Generally, I tip 30−50% because I know it’s hard and they deserve to know they are appreciated. This girl got the customary 20%, my minimum, because my conscience said below that would be less than karmic. Cherry on top, the sandwich I ordered was mediocre at best. However, I didn’t enjoy it nearly as much a few hours later when I was tasting it for a second time. Since their food was the only thing in my system, and I don’t drink alcohol, the list of suspects for my sickness was very short. Upgrade your wait staff and your kitchen, and I might think about coming back.

Go there for yourself if you don’t believe my one star rating. Pay close attention to the wait staff. You certainly cant ignore how worthless they are. The bartender sent the waitress back too our table to ask how to make two common drinks with two ingredients in them? Wings were greasy and tasteless. I don’t know how this place is still open. srsly/It was Saturday night with a wings game on and it was dead. Nuff said

Lunch Time! In search of another fine burger establishment! I can’t keep going to the usual place. Be different. I meandered into this bar because I like bar food. Of course I have to go with my test for a first time visit, the Burger. When we walked in the place was dead. Two patrons at the bar chatting away with the bar maid, and its past noon. This is obviously not a big lunch bar. While waiting for our food to arrive we checked out the place. There’s a lot of eye candy for the hockey fan as this bar got its name from the local Hatcher brothers. The tables are pretty cool as they look like hockey ice. Now for the food. The burger wasn’t anything special. Not much flavor, over cooked and dry. The fixings looked like they had been on the tray since the night before. The fries were warm. Its going to be a while before I go back and give this place another try at lunch. I did get the feeling though that this might be a fun place at night to toss a few with some buddies.

I can’t speak to the food or really anything that happens on the ground floor but the upstairs was a party the night I was there. All I know is the bartenders were busting their asses staying on top of orders(thanks Ryan and Jess) — impressively so! A great crowd and plenty of chill atmosphere to go around. It gets a little tight with a full house but it was a really fun venue to see a band and do a little dancing with no cover charge, at least when I was there. Drinks were totally reasonable. Totally legit spot for a Saturday night! Oh yeah and a quick shout out to Lisa too… Cheers!

Went to Hatchy’s for the first time last night. Normally, I don’t venture to this side of town. At all. Ever. It was completely random how I ended up here, but I’m glad I did. I did not eat here and I spent my time upstairs, so whatever everyone else had to say about the downstairs, I cannot comment on. The bartenders were both friendly and hardworking. The place was busy and one of their computers went down, but they were both hustling to keep things from falling apart. The drinks were reasonably priced and there was no cover charge considering that there was a band. The band that played there was really good too. I thought the crowd had a nice vibe and the people were friendly. It’s too far of a drive for me to say that I’ll definitely be back, but if for some reason I find myself in the neighborhood again, I’ll be sure to stop by.
