Food was great! I recommend the Motor City sauce and their house sauce are superb! I got what I think was called the«Pig Mac??» Whatever it was called it was fantastic! Side of mac n cheese was excellent as well. I LOVE their french fries. They were crispy and awesome! We were immediately seated and the gentleman taking care of us was really busy, but he worked his butt off to keep us happy. I recommend a stop by for sure

Food was great. Atmosphere was nice in the four seasons room. Service was awful! No refills, took twenty minutes to get a bill, they charged a split bill to the same credit card, all with no apology. Definitely not a place to repeat visit. It was more than just a wait staff employee having a bad night.

I made arrangements to have my rehearsal dinner here months in advance in a private room for 40 people. Benny confirmed the menu with me a week before the event, but when we all showed up, something had gone wrong and they had us down for the FOLLOWING day, so none of our food was prepared. I don’t know where we went wrong in scheduling, but they accommodated us all anyway. We had almost our own room(one poor couple was in their own little corner), and they threw a bunch of pizzas in the oven, grabbed a few pounds of pulled pork for the ones who couldn’t eat the pizza, and whipped up a pan of mac and cheese and a salad. It was all great food, and it more than fed everybody. The wait wasn’t even that long. They did a great job of recovering from the mix up, and our guests didn’t even know there was a problem unless we told them.

Ate here today around 4:00 today. We were not impressed. We ordered had the slider trio and some of the buns were hard. We also ordered 3 meats and they were ok. Everything seemed reheated. Not fresh. Brisket was pretty fatty. The hush puppies were like bricks. The best thing of either meal was the sweet potato fries. Pretty bummed. Won’t go back.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Found hair in my food, and had to demand the meal be taken off my bill. The manager only came after checking on other tables in our area. Apparently he was aware we found hair in our food but was more concerned with getting ice from the gas station across the street. People do not ear the food.

A nice, local BBQ gem in downtown Utica. Two levels, with a tamer main floor, and louder upper level. My brother and I picked up an ultimate BBQ feast with 5 different meats and 2 sides. The meats were on point, cooked well and slow and packed plenty of flavor. If I remember correctly, they had pulled pork, 6 – 7 bones of ribs, some brisket, half a BBQ chicken, and some grilled sausages. There was plenty of meat for about 4 – 5 people to share, but what disappointed me was that the side of their famous, tasty mac & cheese was tiny, about sized for 2. I feel that an ultimate feast that feeds 4 – 5 people easily should have an accordingly sized mac & cheese. This was a sad surprise upon opening up our food parcel at home, and not worth diving back to get more. And thus the group of us each had about a heaping tablespoon of their delicious mac & cheese. The cornbread size was sized well for about 4 people, so not bad. I had added a $ 4.99 large size of fries to my order and these fries were delicious! Had a nice crust to them, not so seasoned, but so tasty. Wonder if they are cooked in lard or something? Who cares. Anyways, overall the best BBQ smokehouse in very close proximity to Utica. But this place does not touch Bad Brads up the road in Shelby Township. Bad Brads of Shelby is my favorite BBQ north of I-696, with Lazybones of Roseville being a close runner-up. But if you are part of the foot traffic in downtown Utica or real closeby, give Hogs Hollow a chance. I still give them 2 thumbs up.

The BBQ at this joint is awesome. Heads and shoulders over Slows. The nachos are huge! Half order is enough for two! The brisket is definitely on point here too. Chicken was awesome. House made chips are tasty and good to try the six table sauces. Local inspired sauces are good, but for me, the house sauce and the jerk sauce are a hit! For the $$ this place is a hard to beat BBQ house in the area… Try it.

What can I say, they are my go to barbeque place. I get to go from there a lot. The quality and consistency is outstanding. The hogs rolls are superb, the firecrackers are money. The brisket, pulled pork, etc etc fantastic. The sides are good… love their sauces. Crap it is 9AM and I am hungry and they open at 4PM I believe sighhhhh. Anyway they have barbeque pizzas that are outstanding! Great staff. Give them a try.

We went to this spot because reynard said a beautiful woman works here. I very much enjoyed the open aire in the front room. The graceful waitress, Sol, recommended the pretzel hogie brisket sandwich and it was amazing. We also loved the sweet potato fries and mac and cheese. Probably the best thing here was the mac and cheese. Great bbq sauces and a great ambiance. Service with a very warm smile! Thanks Sol!

The sausage was smokie and spicy, and the collard greens are some of the best around.

Been going here for over 2 years and I love the place. The service is top notch and the food is awesome. If you are looking for a good bbq for a causal dinner this is the place to go. And if you are looking for a night out with friends just walk upstairs. This place has the best of both worlds good food and good nightlife on the weekend. They also have a small patio outside ans if you don’t feel like sitting outside they can open up the garage door and you can feel the breeze without actually being outside.

I’m a fan. This place does all it can to be a great bar. First of all, it’s got two levels. So you can be chill at the downstairs bar or you can get rowdy at the upstairs bar. Sometimes in the summer they even add an outdoor bar. The upstairs is larger, with a bar/dance floor area and then a seating area with a fireplace. Honestly, it’s really well set up. There’s a DJ on Saturday nights and always a little bit of dancing going on. I’ve always found the service here to be pretty good. There are only about three bars in downtown Utica, so I’ve been here quite a bit. Food is delicious for a bar. A friend hosted a catered birthday party here once as well, and the food was even good catered for a group. Have to give a shout out to the loaded chili. This is hands down the best chili you will ever have. It’s topped with cheese and giant chunks of bacon. You literally cannot go wrong ordering this dish at any time of the day.

My friend and I came In here yesterday for dinner and drinks. We arrived around 7pm and sat at the bar. We were greeted immediately and got out drinks quickly without having to wait, which is awesome! We ordered the feast which is all 5 meats and two sides. Everything was so good! So much flavor in all the meats! It was pulled chicken, pulled pork, hot sausage, ribs and brisket! Everything is smoked on site and you can really tell a difference. We will be back!

I came here the other day after a commercial I heard on Really?!, the Internet radio show on , and it was amazing. The motor city sauce paired well with every meat I had on the ultimate feast. The macaroni and cheese was great and I couldn’t get enough of the sweet potato fries when I dipped them in the Alabama sauce. Quick side note on that ultimate feast platter. It definitely is enough for two but the pulled pork was my main surprise. Usually a pulled pork will be fatty, but not this one. They have a decent draught selection but the Michigan liquors are what caught me off guard. Just about every one offered they have. Definitely check this place out. I’m a fan and I’ll be back.

I am a fan of this place. The first time I went in its was good at best. The GM asked for us to come back in so that they could have another chance to «wow» us. We decided to check it out again and my wife and I are very happy we did. The food has improved and has been amazing every time we have gone back in. My wife and I and our 6 year old daughter will eat here a couple times a month. Very family friendly every time we have been in. Service has always been great both in the bar downstairs and the dining area upstairs. Food is fantastic and a pretty good value for the cost. I can’t speak to drink prices but the beer prices are in line with or better than other restaurants in the area that I know of. If we have friends looking for a place to go eat, this is where we take them. Some of my favorites are the brisket, pulled pork, Texas two step(brisket and red hots), smoked wings, Mac n cheese and the ribs. Ribs are some of the best I’ve had. My wife enjoys many of the things I do but her favorite is the BLT here. Has a fried green tomato and some great BBQ mayo sauce. They also have a pretzel brisket hoagie that I had that isn’t on the menu. Pretty fantastic. Ask about it! I would recommend checking this place out before going to any other local BBQ/smokehouse places.

Went for lunch on Thursday and it was Happy Hour all day but Bloody Mary was not included. We ordered them anyway and the price was outrageous…$ 8.50 each. I never paid that much for a Bloody Mary anywhere let along a BBQ place! Lunch was so-so. Pulled pork sandwich was OK… a little dry. The pulled chicken and avocado sandwich was a joke. The«pulled chicken» had been grilled chicken breast that was cut into pieces. No sauce, no seasoning, no taste! Stars are for the service.

Turned away(along with another group) again because the downstairs are was full. No one even bothered to come over to the waiting area to let us know how long it would be for a seat. Good food, horrible service and management.
