Apparently, the manager and owner are a couple of Good ol’ Boys ready to defend a crook and a liar. I placed an order and they hung up without asking me for payment method, so I was unprepared to pay cash when the delivery guy got here, but he didn’t have a card reader. I asked how much we owed and he lied, saying that it was $ 37.47 instead of $ 33.47.(I asked three times to make sure while I was scrambling to find the cash.) We didn’t notice the total until after he left because he didn’t give us the receipt until after we gave him the money. I called to tell the store what he did, speaking to both the manager and the owner. Both of them insisted that he was meek and that they know he wouldn’t have done that. The owner even argued with me when I told him that it was fraud(which it is ) and said that he wouldn’t listen to me bad mouth his friend. They kept calling what the driver did«confusion» and asked if I wanted the $ 3 back. I said no because that wasn’t the point; theft and a the-customer-is-always-wrong attitude are unacceptable to me from people in customer service roles.

Okay, perhaps it was in someone’s else’s err, but the menu associated with this restaurant is incorrect. We called to order a personal pan pizza and a fish sandwich and a BBQ chicken sandwich and none of those items were things they made. The closer we got was a fish dinner.

Just had the urge to try something different tonight around 8:11 pm Typed in Pizza –Utica on my mobile Unilocal app & this was one of several around & one place that I have not tried. I called asked about any specials on a small one item, no sir but we do have a large 3 topping & a large cheese bread for $ 14 Ahhh…dining for one. so whats the price on a small square 1 item? $ 8.25 So I ordered a small square, pepperoni, double sauce garlic crust & sesame seed crust as well. He said see you in 20 minutes. Showed up & it was ready as promised, John was very friendly & even showed off his old school ovens from the 1970’s versus all the places that do conveyor belt pizzas. Shook his hand & thanked him for the pie. Got it home & as the picture shows it was very nicely presented, old style curled up pepperonis & plenty of cheese & Flavored crust. The sauce, dough & pepperonis truly reminded me of the Sorrentos at 9/Vandyke but unsure if the are connected.

It’s not my favorite pizza in the world, but it’s extremely good for how it’s priced. The staff has always been nothing but wonderful. They offer fantastic deals. As this is also just about across the street from where I live, it’s almost always our first choice.

I have tried about 6 of the pizza deliveries in the area and I come back to Sam’s Sorrento Pizza every time. They have dinners and pizza, subs and pasta. The chicken tenders dinner is delicious(my toddler approves!) and all white meat — but I do ask they hold the salt on the fries. I recently had the ½ slab rib dinner and it was very good. The sauce had some heat, some sweetness, and was slathered on like it should be. Only downside? I didn’t get to chose short or long end. Fries are crinkle cut and coleslaw is great. The little piece of garlic bread is a great addition to the meal. You will probably have leftovers. Let’s talk pie. I have only ordered the traditional pepperoni pizza, but it’s perfect. Great sauce, not too much or little; traditional«cup» pepperoni, and cheese is ample without overpowering. The crust is slightly crispy on the outside and soft inside — also the perfect thickness. The service, price, quality, and taste of Sam’s Sorrento Pizza is what keeps me ordering from them and not another. With a variety of options on the menu, I don’t think I will ever get«bored.»

To put it simply. This is my favorite pizza the world over. The Sorrento Special is my favorite. Everytime I eat here it is better than I remember.
