The Italian Chef

I was visiting from out of town and didn’t have access to a vehicle. I looked this place up just as a ‘closet to me’. Very happy I did! The menu has something for everyone. I ordered online, it was simple and prompt. Delivered in a timely manner, not to mention the food was perfect!

Mmmm this is great place to grab wings and pizza. The wings by far are the best wings I’ve had, the charcoal cook opinion is definitely to consider. Give this place a shot.

Mike was very accommodating. I order 40 different sandwiches for 4 different days. I faxed him the order from Illinois providing names and type of sandwich. I needed to have them delivered at a certain time and venue each day. They had names and type of sandwich written on each one. They were ample and fresh. I will definitely order from him next year should we be in the area again.

We stopped in Utica on our way up to summer camp. My travel companions wanted wings, one wanted Italian food, and the youngest always wants pizza. I asked the hotel desk clerk who had the best wings, and he recommended this place.
The hot wings were great, really nicely done. I also ordered a small order of the garlic butter wings, which were great. We shared a pizza (½ plain, ½ sausage) along with the wings.
I wasn’t thrilled with the pizza because I prefer a thin crust. This was fluffy and bready, almost Chicago-​style but much softer and came apart as we tried to eat it. The wings, however, made the trip worthwhile.
They don’t have regular tables, but they do have 6 high tables and stools. It’s a very small shop, more conducive to take-​out. They had a decent looking selection of individual desserts (cannoli, chocolate cannoli, cheesecakes, etc) but we were stuffed and didn’t order any.
It was good, inexpensive food, the service was great, and it kept the kids’ mouths busy for awhile, which was great for us after the long car trip.
