I am a college student at MVCC and this place is awesome because it’s cheap and close by which is very convenient! It’s $ 5 for a ticket with your college ID. The theater itself is pretty old but it feels like you’re in some kind of movie when you first enter! They show first run movies so don’t worry if they only show cheesy like 1920 films!

normal experience at the uptown. filthy everything, dilapidated seating held together by duct tape, low budget projector set up, rancid food & garbage all over floors of theater prior to film, 20 year old mike & ikes for sale at concession, orange cones in isles indicating nothing but a tripping hazard, plaster falling from ceilings & exposed wires, blown light bulbs & theater filled with toddlers for a pg 13 movie @ 8pm on a Wednesday. Fun for the whole family! Tell me again why I’m seeing a movie here when the cost is the same at a big name theater, which would be cleaner with refreshments from the last decade? Gone are the days of $ 2.50 b-list and not-in-theaters-anymore-but-still-while-to-get-to-dvd movies that I used to love this place for. To JOE M. listed below me who is clearly writing a «review» directed at my comments– with their 2 obviously fake accounts(only one review per account-nothing says I work there or own this business as well as a fishy account history). There is a difference between respecting the history of a building and an absolute hazard.
