Valero

I’m not sure why Unilocal has this place listed as «Diamond Shamrock». The name was changed to Valero 5+ years ago. Anyway, this is a convenience store. I put the category as «local services» because Unilocal didn’t have one for «convenience store» or «gas».
As far a fuel goes, what you will find is that this Valero is always within a penny of HEB and Wal-​Mart, making these the three cheapest places in Uvalde to buy fuel. But what you won’t find at Valero is lines of cars 3 and 4 deep waiting to gas up like you will at HEB and Wal-​Mart.
The other reason I go here is that their selection of Copenhagen is always fresh (sound like a redneck, don’t I?). I buy here once a week and it’s the freshest I’ve found in Uvalde.
It also doesn’t hurt that the store is always clean, and the employees are really nice and friendly.
