Have to say the prices and the frozen type burgers is what keeps up away, if you want a quick bite to eat and some ice cream this is your place, have to say the breakfast is amazing but, the prices break us every time. They do have great events during the summer months, car shows, farmers market but, again you do not get what you pay for… Better off cooking at home and getting a gallon of ice cream…

The wife had me detour off of 146 and guided me here one Saturday afternoon. We actually passed by it because it looked a bit strange, it is behind a farm. But we decided to go in anyways and l was surprised that it was bigger than I expected. First off: beer was only $ 3.75 for the good stuff(bottle only), $ 3.25 for domestics. Great first impression. The menu is pretty big, all the normal stuff. Burgers, sandwiches, comfort food, etc. Nice to see an expansive club menu. Love the club. The chicken salad club was pretty good. Bread could have been toasted more but overall I enjoyed it. The fries were hand cut and the onion rings tasty. I can’t speak much about the service since there were only two other people there and the waitress wasn’t overtaxed. She was attentive and friendly so another positive. Lucky for us we changed our mind to pass this restaurant by because I had a good lunch. Simple, basic and enjoyable; I’d come back again for another meal. Or even some more of their homemade mash potatoes.

Our wonderful waitress was Savanna. She was attentive and helpful with our questions about the menu. The food was well prepared both fried and baked. The batter was light and all the seafood very fresh.

Went to the Haywagon on Saturday 9⁄5 for some ice cream with my family, the restaurant was empty and the only other customers were another family getting ice cream outside. The prices were not cheap but not expensive, the young girl working the window was pretty neutral in attitude but when my oldest daughter asked if we could go inside to eat to avoid getting bit by insects, the employee told us no. Apparently it is company policy that if we order/pay outside then we have to eat outside. The tables indoors were only for customers who order/pay inside.
Needless to say, we’ll just go somewhere else next time(Pirate’s Cove, The Ice Cream Lady, West End Creamery, G’Licious, etc). Plenty of other places for ice cream who won’t deny a table to a customer.

What a hidden jewel this place is and I can’t believe how many times we’ve driven right past it without even knowing it was there. My wife and I took our son and a few of his friends there the other night before the fireworks in town. First of all you know how hard it is finding a place that a bunch of 12 year olds will like so that should tell you a lot about this place. The service was great and our waitress was really sweet and made some great recommendations for some of the burger options. I went old school classic with a bacon cheddar burger which was outstanding. I can’t wait to go back again soon and hopefully will get to check out their breakfast on the weekends. Enjoy!

CINDERELLABREAKFAST. .WHAT A SHAM… Today is my nieces birthday, so we took the whole family to the Hay — Wagon for their«Cinderella breakfast»(party of 9). .we paid $ 105 to get crammed in a dark corner in the foyer of this DUMP… The coordinator was an absolute airhead and organization was clearly not her strong suit. they had 3 high chairs for 15 disgruntled children… Was I really going to eat on paper plates, in a dark corner for $ 105, on my nieces birthday… …I THINKNOT!

The food here is okay but I’ve had so many problems with the service here. I even tried applying for a job years back but I highly doughty they’ll remember that because they shooed me off like nobody’s business. The girls working the ice cream counter are so rude, and god bless you if you decide to order inside and go outside, or order outside and go sit inside. They will SCREAM at you for doing so! They play favorites when you’re dining there for people the servers seem to know better, and leave you to sit in your own dirty dishes with no napkins or silverware for a while, too. Sorry Haywagon, but I hear there’s a new place that has better seafood in town, and I’m breaking up with you.

Came to the«Wagon» again. This time — red flag! If these people aren’t careful, they will end up like the Italian place on the other side of town. The service is getting worse! WAKEUP! people are not going to spend hard-earned money to have some ignorant girl ignore them, forget stuff and generally act as though we are a pain in her ass, just coming through the door. We came in the virtually empty restaurant to get some fried seafood. They do a good job on it. The girl seating us was friendly, prompt and took our order right away. Then we were handed off to the other one. The one with the rolling eyes for any request for anything that should have been on the friggin’ table, anyway. The one who brought our food, ignoring the empty drinks and toddled her way to another table of of people she apparently knew. We were ignored for the rest of our meal from that point on. Tips are there for a reason… To Insure Prompt Service –T.I.P.S. I don’t know how it’s done in other parts of the world, but in THIS country, there’s a reason the pay is 2 and change per hour. Better service, better tip. This girls tip was the coleslaw she neglected to bring to the table, and the drinks, and the napkins. AND I had to go up and ask for the check. Hey! Wagon! smarten up or you may be the next place to go tits up!

Sorry Hay Wagon, I doubt we’ll be coming back. Came in for breakfast one morning, AWFUL. Today we came back for the ice cream & their only saving grace was the ice cream is from the ice cream machine in Cumberland. The service was really slow, it’s completely over priced & when we got the ice cream home the outside of the cups with covered in chocolate. The young lady that helped us seemed very sweet, but it’s understandable why we were the only customers on a warm Sunday afternoon. Sorry, westend creamery has equally as good ice cream, the portions are appropriate to price and the services is great.

We had a 3pm tee time and we’re looking for a quick bite. Luckily I had won a $ 10 gift card to Hay Wagon. We popped in, the place was pretty quiet on a Friday afternoon. We sat at the bar area which has a great view of the boring kitchen. Ordered a bacon cheese burger and a seafood salad. Burger was blah, the bacon was good. Seafood salad was out of a bucket, but decent. Fries has a freezer taste to them, but not bad. Bill came to $ 14 for two people for lunch. Not too shabby. This is a gimmicky place, that I’m sure all the locals think is the bomb. In reality, it’s a big barn with food off the Sysco truck, at whatever prices. Not good, not bad. Try it if you pass it.

Went on Father’s Day expected a small wait. Had to wait 10 or so minutes. This is a seat yourself set up. So nobody greeted you or told you how long wait could be. We had to just scope it out and see who was about to finish. Had to grab a dirty table and wait for them to clear the table. Waitress was nice but did spilt a drop of two of hot coffee on my 4yr. She was very apologetic. It was an accident. We put out drink order in and we got them right away. At that time we places the food order and then waited and waited and waited. There was another multiple tables that had been seated and not gotten food and they had been waiting a very long time to the looks of it. One table was getting very hostile about the situation. Some had been waiting before us with no drinks or utensils. So we waited and waited and finally over an hour later we got our food. It was not really brought out at same time over all took about 10mins to get everyone’s plate but it was hot. Sadly food was not great. My scrambled eggs were runny and the bacon was soggy and the hash wasn’t fully cooked to the looks of it. Wasn’t impressed I can do better at home myself but wanted to have breakfast out for this special day. Waitress also joked as she brought the food saying well you have drinks and utensils so you are better then most of the tables… Ya not okay to say that since clearly it was horrible service not one family looked happy. There was multiple tables that got their food for free and or discounts. Nobody offered us one. Guess ya have to be mean to get something off. Would have been a nice gesture since the place clearly has issues with busy days. Will not be returning again.

We decided to drive out there for Cruz night and to grab a bite to eat. The drive was pleasant and the place is in a beautiful setting. Do not order scallops or whole belly clams. The scallops were tiny bay scallops and there was as much breading as scallop. The fried clams were a tiny portion consisting mostly of breading and tiny bits. And it was not cheap. Very dissappointed.

Easily my favorite place to get ice cream, no matter how far I might be at the time. It’s delicious and a reasonable amount is given. The food is excellent too. I’ve been going for over ten years and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. The clam cakes are excellent, as are the French fries. Location is beautiful as well, great view. Outdoor seating is available and the employees are nice.

Went during a rain delay for a baseball tournament. Not a bad first experience considering we(the entire baseball team) bombarded them with business. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Good was okay. I do think that the menu has too many offerings, which tends to effect food quality – saw that with my heavily fried crab cakes. Again, it was ok… not bad. I did think that the prices were a bit high considering location(rural), that a lot of the offerings are fried, and they charged for seltzer water(most places don’t).

Nice country setting, your basic Ma & Pa place but still good. Prices are reasonable and the food is pretty tasty too. The fish and chips are very good! A+ for hand-cut french fries!!! Burgers are tasty, the chicken is really good too! Been for breakfast a few times and let me just say GETTHEBANANAPANCAKES!!! Those are delicious! It is a nice to place to go for a decent tasty meal!!!

It’s ok. Wouldn’t put whipped cream on a shake. I even said I’d pay for it. They still said no. Who doesn’t put whip cream on a shake?

I have gone here before; usually for ice cream in the summer. Decided to take my mum here today for her favorite dish– Fish and Chips. I had Clam strips. We arrived around 1:30pm and there were just a few people there eating before us. There was no long wait for our meal. The fish and clams were fried in clean oil and our«small plate» had a large helping of onion rings! Onion rings were hand-done(not the icky frozen kind). The atmosphere is Americana, at best! Will definitely come back. The waitress was prompt and provided excellent service. Thumbs up!

Holy smokes, went there for the first time and waited an hour and a half for Sunday breakfast even though it was not really busy. Wait staff was indifferent at best… if you could find someone and when the food arrived it was mediocre. Too bad the management does not want repeat local customers.
