There was better service, no mean stares, got chips and salsa, the Crispy Chicken & Beef Tacos were very good. I liked the salsa & especially the rice too. I would recommend trying the Crispy Tacos dinner.

Their Carnitas is so good it is better than any I have ever had. Generous servings! The burritos and tacos are to die for. The only real negative is this is cash only establishment.

I just had a damn good carnitas super burrito! It does have a lot of rice though. But at least the rice is good. I feel sorry for the debit/credit whiners. Sorry guys but cash is still king no matter what you say.

Best place ever! I used to work right next to here and go quite frequently like multiple times per week. They’re very reasonably priced with big portions and delicious authentic Mexican food. I’ve never had a bad experience in the 8 or so years I’ve been going here. I’ve been to like every Mexican food restaurant in Dixon fairfield Vacaville and vallejo and I rank them pretty high in terms of how good their food is. Plus very consistent always delicious and super friendly staff and it’s clean. I will probably go get a carne Asada super burrito tomorrow. Or maybe a few tacos or eve their nachos but whatever you order it’s delicious! It’s cash only but totally worth the hassle of getting cash beforehand.

Best Mexican food in Vacaville. Love Love Love the Carne Asada tacos. They catered our son’s graduation party. Guests loved the food. Would highly recommend. They only take cash and checks.

I’ve only had the chorizo breakfast burrito here. But it’s the best chorizo I’ve ever had. Not greasy. Lots of eggs. Huge. I thought it was a little pricey but well worth it as there’s no way you can finish the whole thing. Was even better the next day. Friendly. But no debit? Eeeeek.

Two words: Carnitas Burrito. So good. They cook the carnitas on a flat top grill right before they make the burrito so you get those little crispy pieces. Bomb. If you call in your order, it’s almost guaranteed that it will be ready when you get there. I’ve ordered from here dozens of times and it’s the same response every time on the phone«ready in 7 minutes», and they mean it. Very affordable, very clean restaurant. Staff is great and the overall experience is consistently good. Only reason it’s a 4 and not 5 star rating is the payment options. Cash or check only. Seriously. I almost thought they were joking the first time I heard that. That being said, it’s worth it to make an extra stop for cash before you go. Overall a great little«hole in the wall» place if that’s what you are looking for. Great job guys!!!

Burrito Express is the definitely a local favorite. I’ve been coming here for at least 10 years, my siblings and I used to come here every week when our mom’s office was across the street and it continues to be our go-to. Make sure you come on the weekends when they have Menudo! It is pretty popular so don’t be surprised if they run out early. The seating area is quite small and it can get cramped in there when times are busy. My favorite fillings are Al Pastor and Cabeza. The Cabeza meats are super soft and tender. Their nachos are yummy as well. Take note that it is Cash/check only, not sure why people are freaking out about it. It’s pretty common in bigger cities, our little Vacaville is making way too big a deal of it. I think it’s pretty fair when in turn you are getting huuuge portions of food!

On a bad note: 1.They never make enough menudo on Sundays, this is the second time I’ve been here and this is the second time they told me they didn’t have any. It’s just me but if your going to sell this specialty dish only on Sunday at least sell it all day. 2. The cashier that helped me was either one or two things. A) she seem like she didn’t want to be here and looked as if she irritated at me while taking my order. B) maybe she just one of those people who has a relax bi**h face and just can’t help it to look miserable and unhappy even if their really having a great day, so I shouldn’t over think things. Still she should practice smiling in the mirror & smile in front of customers … «be fake» if you have to, your customers doesn’t need to know your issues. 3. What’s up with cash/checks only? There is thing called the square a lot of small shops are using it for credit card transaction. If the business owner is reading this … look at your next door neighbor they have one. Positive note: 1. Other server seemed really nice and asked if I was helped and had a smile on her face. Overall just that alone made me give a 3 star instead of 2 star for customer service. 2. I order food to go but i know their seafood soup is pretty good. This is going to be my first time trying their burrito, never know I might change it to a 4 star if it was pretty good. Edit note: I had to bring it down to a 2 star. Since their super burrito is mostly made up of rice and beans. I could just imagine what a regular burrito would be like. I’m not impressed!!! This is just my opinion since my boyfriend actually liked it(happy I only bought 1 burrito to share). Still recommend the seafood soup… but if you have bad heartburn … stay away from it or make sure you have something for heartburn.

I’d give it 5 stars if only they’d take debit/credit cards for payment(this place is cash only). My family and I went in today, ordered our meals, enjoyed the food, and then were left embarrassed by the fact that neither my wife or I had remembered to bring cash with us. I left my wife and kids at the restaurant while I drove to the ATM. While on my way to get some cash, my wife called me to let me know that a kind man had just paid for our meal!!! Sir, whoever you are… God bless you. I’m embarrassed but grateful. That said, the carne asada and carnitas soft tacos are AMAZING!!! I’ve gone here for lunch 3 times this week just for the tacos.

Pretty pretty pretty good I would say the 1st or 2nd best in Vacaville but also pretty pretty weird that they don’t like to give out hot or mild sauce with the giant delicious burritos when this is automatic at every other Mexican restaurant

I love this place, it has a nice family run vibe. Usually I’m ordering the shrimp tacos, but many of the menu items are fantastic also. There are a few items on the menu that seem like they are included because Americans expect some things in a «Mexican» restaurant, but you’ll find some shining star items for sure. They accept cash and checks only because they are a small family run business., If you want to pay with your ATM or Credit Card™ go to Taco Bell. Order the items hot if you want more spice. You can find actual pressed tortillas and menudo on weekends. Worth a visit.

This is a massive burrito that will fill most stomachs, but it’s lacking in any character. Slices of avocado add some taste, but the meat is rather bland(both chicken and carne asada) and the amount of rice is overkill. Being right off the Alamo exit of the freeway, the location is very convenient, but there are better options in the area.

‘Was told by EL that Burrito Express was a local favorite… Verdict: «M’eh, they’re okay…» First off: CASH& Checks Only — No ATM (BTW, who carries cash today besides the homeless &10 year old kids?) Photo — Now, that’s out of the way. We ordered — Chicken Super Burrito: Okay flavor; meat(small portions) Photo — Al Pastor Super Burrito: Okay flavor; meat dry(small portions) Photo — I saw that Burrito Express had al pastor on the menu, my go-to meat of choice when it’s available. al pastor is an adoption of the shawarma spit-grilled meat, introduced to Mexico by Lebanese immigrants. Moving from South Orange County, I’ve had amazing, fresh from the spit al pastor to dried-out, wood chip-like, kibbles of diced pork… I was looking forward to trying it! Unfortunately, the al pastor here tasted as if it was sitting around for a while, very dried out. It was like pork jerky pastor! Fair sized burritos, unfortunately they were mostly stuffed w/rice & bean«filler» and lacking in the stuff that really matters.(i.e. — Meat) The young lady who took our order was friendly & answered my usual plethora of foodie questions regarding their menu… Restaurant Layout — ‘But I need to add, they do have a decent beer selection. Cerveza — Overall, okay…(Shrugs) I expected more from Burrito Express based on the overall Unilocal*views. It’s not terrible but it’s not a 4 Star Rated shop either. The next time we went out for burritos, I Unilocal*d «Burrito Palace.» ‘And just say the next time we go out for burritos, we’ll be eating like«royalty.» Burrito Palace — — Aloha! Food: 3 Ambiance: 3 Service: 3+ Value: 2+

Great Food! Only one complaint somebody put American cheese slices on my nachos last week :(if this continues I will take my business elsewhere. If I wanted Taco Bell nachos I would buy them at Taco Bell. Usually the nachos are superb, The chimichanga is a good bet too. I’m pulling for you guys! eat there at least once a week don’t cheap out and let your quality slip. I’ll pay more if that’s what it takes to get the good stuff.

First time going here, and ordered myself a alpastor super burrito, and the g/f got a carnitas super burrito. and DAMN this place has all sorts of tasty goodness. I was really surprised. I really wanted to give this place a 4.5÷5 stars but the fact they only take cash/check is really annoying! seriously get an ATM machine/debit card reader I hardly carry cash on me and it was just lucky that I had some cash on me, otherwise we would of walked out never to try this place. Cliffs: awesome super burritos, bring cash

Not impressed at all… My friend has been hyping up this spot saying its the best burrito in town and the first question I asked him was, «do they put a ton of meat!» And he replied, «that’s what people go there for!!» So finally I decided to roll through there right after getting out of the gym since its in the same plaza. First off I forgot they are strictly cash only or check. I don’t even remember the last time I carried on a check on me so that’s out of the question. I ran over to the ATM machine at chevron which cost me an additional 4 dollars to withdraw(2 from the machine, 2 from my bank) So I got my money and at this point I’m thinking its all good it will be worth it! I ordered a carne asada super burrito minus the beans and cheese. When I got there my order was ready so I paid and took off. I get to my work with this massive burrito ready to tear it up. I took my first bite and all I got was rice. So I keep eating waiting for the meat and about 1⁄3 down the burrito a little bit of meat was finally coming out. Now I’m thinking ok cool maybe all the meat is in the middle! Wrong! From that bite to the very end there was hardly any meat at all. Felt like I ate a straight up vegetarian burrito overstuffed with rice. Truly dissapointed with what I got. First and last time I’m heading to this place. Now I’m just waiting for my friend to come to work so I can choke him out for hyping up a vegetarian burrito spot.
