I visited Dr Carman today for the first time to have a root canal. From the reception to the treatment the service and care was outstanding. I really appreciate how the staff helped calm my jitters with an assuring approach. Overall the treatment was pain free and tailored to the patient. Dr Carman is a very knowledgeable and skilled Endodontist. If you are in need of a root canal, look no further! You will be in good capable hands!

Over the past 18 years or so I have needed six root canals, all preformed by Dr. Carman. My first was particularly memorable. It was a New Year Eve 1996, I think, and at ten in the morning my tooth started to ache. By noon I was in serious pain. My dentist referred me to Dr. Carman, and within 3 hours I was in his chair. His staff was very nice and even helped me with all the new patient forms, staying late to accommodate my emergency appointment. My, now, extensive experience with Dr. Carman and his staff leads me to highly recommend him. If you are afraid of getting a root canal, don’t be — because I have never had one ounce of discomfort. Trust me, this is where you want to be!

This guy is awesome! The first thing he did was give me a firm handshake with a big smile. A good ol fashioned American business here. Super friendly, sharp, and knows his stuff. Instead of just giving me a root canal, he saved my tooth by doing the proper tests. The root was not dying, and I appreciate his honesty. I would recommend Dr. Carman to anyone looking for a top notch Endodontist. After my visit to Vacaville Dental Care, Dr. Carman was a breath of fresh air. If they had their way, I’d have an unnecessary root canal right now.

Recently, I woke up to the pleasures of a tooth abscess. I visited our family dentist, who referred me to Dr Carman. His staff was able to accommodate me within a few hours, by 4pm, I was is a chair in his office prepping for a root canal. Once in the chair, I was offered my choice of music, headphones, and a comfortable demeanor. I received a clear explanation of expectations and the process. Before I knew it, he was finished with the root canal. All along the way, his staff was courteous, helpful, and professional. They assisted with the insurance coverage, associated paperwork, and performed follow-up calls to check on my well being. Dr Carman«gers it» when it comes to customer service. He and his staff are top notch. I am very comfortable referring him for any dental surgery. Top-notch!

Dr. Carman is an endodontist, so I don’t go to his office for general dentistry. However, when I had side-by-side«dead» teeth needing root canals, I drove down for a long session in the chair. The office staff is very professional, and Dr. Carman is one of the best around when it comes to patient courtesy and technique(no pain!). My general dentist(who also does cosmetic work, and is very critical of other dentist’s work) remarked on the quality of Dr. Carman’s work, especially because it was completed on teeth that had previous cosmetic repair. I have always found his staff and office to operate in an ethical and professional manner.

I had a bad experience with this dentists office. Dr Carman was very nice but his office staff is who I have the issue with. I needed to have a root canal and I had already had a partial root canal on this tooth. I talked to Dr Carmans billing person and she told me that it may not be covered by the insurance since I had already had a partial root canal on the same tooth. I told her I understood. She said that it could be up to 387.00 out of our pocket for this if the insurance did not pay. I told her I understood since I doing medical billing as my profession. We discussed having her office bill the insurance first and then if they did not pay then we would pay the balance. She said that was fine. The day of my procedure I had to take some drugs to put me out so I was out of it when I was there at the office. When we went to leave I was still a bit out of it and groggy. But it turns out that while I was out she asked my husband for the 387.00 that we had already discussed and she told him that she talked to me about it and that I already knew. So, he thought I already knew and was ok with paying that so he paid it. I recently got a statement from my dental ins and they paid everything except $ 11.25. I think this is shifty business and will never refer anyone to this office which is sad for Dr Carman because he was nice and knowledgeable. Please think twice before going to this office if you can help it. :)
