My Retreat Day Spa

I had a very relaxing, wonderful experience at this spa. I had a facial by Roxy and a massage by Angela, both fabulous. My money was well spent and I plan to go back soon!

The place is reasonably priced, although not super fancy. The lady who did my facial and body wrap was GREAT, and I will see her again. That being said, it is obvious that the place suffers from poor management. First of all they do not have a receptionist, so actually booking the appointment was challenging because the employees have to answer phones and schedule in between appointments. Also, when I wanted to add onto a package and was looking for a price quote, I had to call 4 times to get an answer, even though the person answering the phone each time said they would call me back. Lastly, the person giving my massage was awful. It was her last day and she used my session as a personal venting session to discuss how terribly the place was run. In addition she tried to sell me products she had made, and she didn’t cue in on my attempts to relax in silence, plus the massage sucked. I was going to ask for harder pressure, but she made a point of telling me that she has really bad tendinitis, so I felt guilty asking for moderate pressure, even though I really needed a good massage. However, I will try the place again. Most of my services were great, and the moderate prices are attractive.

Their work is fine, the people are nice, but they need to get sound-​proofing in the rooms. It was distracting to hear people at the front desk and several times heard a worker listening to messages thru their speaker phone. I might go back, but would check other places first.

My boyfriend took me here for couples massage on my birthday. I worked past there hours that days but 2 message therapist offered to stay late for us! The hot tub room is such a nice touch and they even served us chocolate cake and sparkling cider! Massages were great! Only regret is not booking them longer lol

My name is Victoria Johnson I had an appointment on ¹⁰⁄₁₁. I go to school full time and work about 30 hours a week and endure a lot a lot of stress so my boyfriend and I decided to pursue massages. My retreat day spa acclimated to our busy schedules and offered to stay open later to fit us in which was awesome. I’ve had about three massages from my retreat this year and each was was amazing I went in with pain and left feeling like a million bucks. This time however that was not the case. I go in with no pain, only looking for a relaxing time, I ask for hard pressure. Through out the massage the pressure was not hard, I should’ve spoke up which was my fault but I figured she was tried and I didn’t want to say anything especially after they stayed later. We finished out our massages and left. We both had headaches which I’m aware happens sometimes after massages but I was experiencing lower back pain but I figure I’d try and sleep it off and it worked but the next day I had intense pain in my shoulders. It is now Thursday and my pain has barely subsided and when I called I told her the situation and she told me that it sounds like my muscles were over worked, And to stretch and drink lots of water. I replied and asked to be educated because I don’t understand how i felt the pressure was soft and yet I’m left with all this pain. My back feels like knotted up rope sensitive to the touch. I saved my tips for six weeks looking for a form of decompression went with no pain and left in a lot of pain. I guess maybe a consultation of what I was looking to get out of the massage because i am highly dissatisfied with this result and honestly I come from a company that values customer experience and we believe in making sure that the customers experience is a good one but I felt dismissed I am a very loyal customer and I loved this place but now I’m highly considering never coming back and no longer recommending my retreat day spa due to the lack of professionalism. It is upsetting to feel like you need a massage after you just paid for one.

Pros and cons here it was my first time here with my husband. I appreciated the time and care that was taken on my husband as he is a police officer and I was really happy that he did get very pampered. My massage was great but the reason for the 3 stars is that unfortunately after my husbands lower back had been massaged, he kept experiencing severe lower back pain after the appointment. he will just be standing and suddenly experience a lot of pain and he believes it was bc of the massage…
That said I feel like the price is good for what you get, a nice massage a deep cleaning facial and some spa time, it was fabulous. I think it was really rude of the esthetician to straight out ask my husband and I in front of everyone how much we were going to pay for gratitudity… wow that’s just bad business. We felt under pressure to give an answer and although we felt everyone did a fabulous job, we just also feel it was very rude of her. That decision should have been a private decision, not even for the whole world to know! We will probably not be back

Went to day with my friend. Really enjoyed the friends retreat. The massage was amazing and. My facial was fantastic!!!

Very unpleasant experience at this spa. I made an appointment for a facial and the receptionist told me 1215pm, and I was on time. At 1212, the esthetician called me while I was parking and very rude and abruptly greeted me by saying «Hello, so what’s up with our appointment?» I was taken aback by her choice of words as being a professional, and then not to mention I was on time and in the parking lot. The esthetician, whose name is Helen, then told me my appointment was for 12pm and if she takes me now my appointment will run into her 1pm appointment. I explained calmly my appointment was booked for 1215pm, that this is my first time as a customer and how now I feel very uncomfortable being in an intimate setting with her now after her tone of voice. To summarize, I had to cancel because I felt very uncomfortable with the entire situation and the lack of professionalism that I was serviced. I would not recommend Helen to people who are first timers to this spa.

It was a nice simple place. Spa was hot, expected it to be better kept.
The massage room could use some fixing, but it does the job.
Music stopped playing during massage, so, she stopped massaging to take care of it.
I enjoyed the deep tissue massage, she worked much on my shoulder.
My son also enjoyed his massage and asked to return for his birthday.

First time in this shop. Brittni was the specialist that did my massage today. She was really good at her job. I feel like 1 million bucks. Signing my daughter up from for a facial from her. Can’t wait to go back next month to get another massage. My neck especially feels amazing.

It was a first time for myself and my boyfriend. We were a bit nervous when we first arrived but the staff immediately welcomed us and made us feel comfortable. We used a gift certificate for the couples massage special. I was unable to print out the gift certificate and they had no problem looking it up in their system and us being able to use it. The spa caught us off guard, but in a good way! The cake and cider were yummy! The spa room was really nice and relaxing. We loved how it was decorated and how they had peaceful music playing. Now the massages were AMAZING! We were unsure of what to expect and were nervous itd be uncomfortable but the massage therapists made us feel at home and did an exceptional job! They got every single spot i needed and some! It was so good it took us a while to get off the massage tables! lol! i definitely recommend this for everyone! We will definitely return soon!

Fit my boyfriend and I in for a last minute appointment for a couples massage. Spa room was serene, and our massages were amazing. My boyfriend, who was apprehensive at first because he’d never been pampered before was in heaven afterwords. We have even discussed making this our monthly treat!

I brought my husband here for his birthday. It was an amazing experience. We did the couples massage package! The therapist were very attentive to our needs and the entire experience was excellent and very professional!

I love this spa. I go for monthly waxing and the occasional massage. I’ve only seen Andrea and she’s absolutely amazing at what she does. I will no longer go to anyone else! I recommend this spa to all my friends and family in the area! Just love this place!

My Retreat Day Spa is by far the best day spa in Solano county! I’ve been going to this day spa for years and every experience I’ve had has exceeded my expectations. First off the place is beautiful, absolutely relaxing as soon as you walk in. Always someone there to greet you. Soothing music to relax to, beautifully decorated rooms and great customer service.
I went there for my best friends bachelorette/​pre-​wedding party in the spa room. There was about 11 of us and they could accommodate more. Each of us had either a facial, massage or salt glow. We were able to bring snacks and drinks/​champagne/​wine the night before which they had all set up when we arrived the next day, absolutely beautiful! Very relaxing in the spa till they call you one by one into your service. I had a massage that was so relaxing. If you want more pressure, or less you just let them know. Almost feel asleep a couple times! All in all it was perfect, and relaxing, all the staff was very sweet and professional.
And now since I am pregnant, I’ve gone twice for a massage, both extremely comfortable and relaxing. My recent massage was about a week ago. Being 8 months pregnant can be very uncomfortable, so I decided to try getting a massage to help with pain. Laura was very knowledgable about prenatal massage. I left feeling very relaxed and with less pain then I had walking in!
I will always refer this day spa to everyone I know, because you will always have a very professional, relaxing experience.

Had a wonderful massage by Mo. She did lots of stretching with me and knew what she was doing. I will be back again.

This place was great!
Came here for the first time today and it was awesome. Got an hour couples massage with the misses that we both enjoyed. I do a lot of crossfit and play basketball often, when I told her that she said she knew exactly where I would need it the most and she was right. She tore my shoulders up! Lol in a good way. The only negative thing I could see about this place is I could hear the people up front talking over the music they use to relax you. Not really a big deal for me but it might bother some people I guess.
Anyway I haven’t tried any other places in the area but I felt this place was well worth it.

As I moved out of the Bay Area and into Vacaville last year, I thought I should finally find a local spa place instead of traveling all the way to SF or Walnut Creek just for a spa day.
Lo and Behold, «My Retreat Day Spa» came up on my list of Unilocal results when looking for a day spa. I liked most of the reviews so I took a chance and booked an appointment for a back relaxation treatment and deep cleaning facial (only $ 110). Ladies, I did not regret coming to this place — at all! The aesthetician who worked on me was amazing (Shame on me. I forgot her name) and the environment was very pleasant. I loved my facial and surprisingly, my face didn’t suffer from any bad outcomes (as it has from other spa’s). Their products (Dermologica) is really great and I even ended up buying some full size products a week later because I got such great results from using the samples I received after my treatment. I’m a true Clinique user for 10 years now so using something new that doesn’t irrirate my skin is a satisfying feeling, especially after trying countless products that wasn’t made for sensitive skin types.
I definitely plan on going back here soon. and I’ll be sure to update my review with my lady’s name :-)

Love that this hidden (literally) spot is so close to home! Came here earlier this week for a massage and pedi. Massage was great. Stephanie knows what’s she doing! The one-​hour massage was wonderful and much needed. She was very attentive to what I mentioned I needed work on. She applied just the right amount of pressure to relieve tense areas. Very, very relaxing! And then Christina did great with my pedi! Loved the extra treatments you don’t get with your typical strip mall nail salon pedi. She was also extremely friendly and easy to talk to. Felt completely pampered for the afternoon!!!
Hands down awesome experience here and would recommend this to locals or anyone visiting the area!

I went here almost a year ago, but I didn’t write a review for that visit. About a month ago, last minute, I was in desperate need of a mani & pedi. I booked a time & when I showed up, I was pleasantly surprised that it was someone new working there. Christina is an artist and she knows what she’s doing! I have been back for another pedi & I’ve had gels with glitter tips done. My nails look amazing!
