Delicious! My fiancé really enjoyed his bison burger. We will definitely come back here when we want a well made burger!

i have never been to a place so bad a whopper jr is bigger then their bacon burger and the bbq burger has no bbq sauce my wife and i brought our family there for my daughters bday they ignored us at the door. the tables and glasses were sticky the kid couldn’t set the table without dropping things and the beer was hot not warm but hot what a joke should be called crap burger and i can’t believe i have to give them 1 star they don’t deserve it.

The Good Heifer is a great home town, hole-in-the-wall, friendly, low key diner. My favorite selection is the bison burger! It is the best bison burger I’ve ever tried! Their nightly specials are great values too, especially Taco Wednesday and Steak Fridays. Only beer and wine are served, although the wine selection is getting better all the time. I like this place because it has a funky/family/hometown/mom and pops feel to it. Check it out when you’re ready to avoid chain restaurants and generic fast food!

Went on a Friday night, no waiting which was nice. Average bar décor i.e. a bunch of mismatched country crap hanging on the walls. We weren’t expecting much, my better half changed her mind about the chili dog after spying a Hormels Chili can in the middle of the room catching rain from a roof leak… niiiiice. She got a steak/salad plate and I got a bacon burger. Both were incredibly good, I was shocked! Great food.

Does anybody know how to cook a burger medium anymore? I always ask when I go to burger places, because I know a lot of places only cook the patties well done, but when they tell me they can cook it to order, I assume that means the cook knows what he’s doing in the kitchen. I was wrong, unless medium is code for«please overcook my burger.» I went here last night with two friends for dinner. The place is a cute little hole in the wall with cute cow/barnyard decorations. I loved the atmosphere and the feel of the place(dive-y) but the food was just okay. Even if my burger wasn’t overcooked, it still could have used more flavor. But the prices were good. I deducted a star because they don’t know the difference between medium and well done and that’s important to me. I don’t believe in overcooked meat. I deducted another star because service was EXTREMELY slow. It’s a good thing I was content with catching up with my friends and having a good conversation, because I waited nearly 30 minutes for a refill – and even then I only got it because I tracked down the waiter and asked for one. I realize it was pretty crowded and there were only a few people working, but that’s really not my problem. They should have more staff, really. Besides, if you’re that understaffed, but that busy, at least learn to acknowledge me from time to time, especially since my table was by the main walkway. Tip: try the wings. They are the right amount of spicy, saucy and crispy. Skip the ranch, get blue cheese for dipping. Really the only reason for going here. Skip the salads too. All it has is lettuce and dressing.

This is my favorite dive bar! The food is fresh and hot, the beer is cold and they are always playing good music! The burgers are excellent! The staff has always been kind to me and they make you feel like family!

Am SHOCKED at the reviews saying the burgers are great-they are not. I could make one better at home-blindfolded. Overpriced and with chili on it that tasted like it was poured out of a can. My brother’s burger-with bacon-he felt was bland and overpriced. Service was unfriendly from a chick who looked like she just woke up. She was training some young guy who looked bored to death. Will NOT return.

It’s a bar or pizza joint atmosphere but okay for the family. The burgers are as good as others said. We’ll go back. It’s on my list of favorites now.

Took my boss and my co-worker here for lunch the other day. We were out in the field(I’m an environmental engineer) and weren’t really familiar with the restaurants in this area. So I got Unilocaled out by some of the previous reviews and decided to roll the dice on the 4.5 star rating(Not really taking a chance, right). My co-worker and I had the Tex-Mex burger with fries. My boss had the Bacon Cheeseburger with Onion Rings. I have to say that everything was cooked to perfection and was absolutely delicious. Service was excellent and the people working here are really friendly. Very reasonable prices as well. The western deco takes you back to simpler times and adds to the laid back character of the joint. I could definitely eat here until all the good heifers come home.

Burgers are good and actually taste like a homemade Burger. PBR on draft and cheap! Staff was friendly and very helpful. Tip: ask if there’s any specials, there’s always something going on in the kitchen. It’s a hidden jewel in Vacaville!

Whenever I do laundry I have a burger and a couple of Sierra Nevadas here. The folks are friendly, really family oriented. I felt comfortable the first time I took a seat in this place. I love my burgers and this place definitely satisfies my tastes. Nice juicy burger with a lot of flavor and their chili is great too. they have a dinner special for each day of the week that I have yet to try, I keep going with the burgers!

Hip Hip Hooray for the Friday & Saturday special, big ol’ Rib Eye steak, cooked to order. Mine was sublime! My husband usually gets the burgers, he loves them. Our daughter likes how all the burgers can be made with ground turkey. The atmosphere here reminds me a bit of the show ‘Northern Exposure’…it’s very charming. Great friendly service. The beer is always super fresh… yum.

On Merchant street, in a small Strip mall Just down from City hall, one of the little hole-in-the-wall places I love. Burgers and more, plus a small beer and wine bar, this is a neat little place, and the Bacon Cheeseburger, hand pressed, is right up there with the best. Burgers come with a choice of sides, and look to be about 7 – 8 ounces., nicely trimmed and fresh lettuce tomato and onion on the side. Daily specials on their little menu they gave me. One thing, opens at 4 on Mondays. Friday and Saturday, they offer a 190z Rib eye with all the fixings for 20 bucks. If you’re over there on business, a quick little place to slip into for lunch.
