If you like steamed crabs, check this out for sure. They cook ‘em up daily, served warm, spicy bit not dirty. Cold beers and crawfish too. There’s no place to eat (it’s all to-​go) and they sure could use a couple of picnic tables. But if you have a truck bed and some cajun tunes on the WWOZ and lots of paper towels like we did, it’s a tailgate party of the best kind.
Bonus points: they carry snapper turtle meat. Holy sheeeit!

This place is easy to miss on HWY 20. It may have only recently opened. I find out on my way from New Orleans to Bourgeois meat market in Thibideaux and wanted to grab some crawfish for dinner back home. So I gave them a chance. Their crawfish were some of the best I’ve ever had. Not too much clove, just the right amount of heat. I also grabbed one of their crawfish stews for later consumption. Very think and tons of crawfish.
