This is a BUSY place even early on Friday evening. However once you taste their mouthwatering eggplant parmigiana, or have a spoonful of their Italian wedfing soup or even a bite of the rich and enormous lasagna you will understand why! They have done alit with this former quick mart on the interior, murals and lighting contribute to a glimpse of Italy atmosphere. Service was friendly and accurate, however people are hovering like vultures wanting your table and their own tasty treats. The pizza looked incredible and we will get there even earlier… Maybe 4:45 as was packed at 5:30!

Best pizza in the Tucson area… In fact, it’s the best pizza I’ve ever tasted! The crust is delicious, the sauce is perfect, and the sausage tastes homemade.

I had dinner here on a Wednesday night and it was PACKED. However, me and my 2 guests were seated immediately, greeted promptly, and our drink and app order went in quickly. Annie, our server, recommended the calamari and a zin from Josh winery. The Zinfandel was fabulous and the calamari was the yummiest fried calamari I’ve ever had. Annie told me that Dom, the chef, buys the best calamari he can find and makes the batter himself. It showed! Noms! All of the entrees come with rolls, soup or salad. Both of the soups sounded yummy, but I decided to go for a salad with their house vinaigrette. It’s soooo garlicky and wonderful, but you can request garlic on the side of the dressing if you want to control how stanky your breath gets. The lettuce was fresh and yummy, and I enjoyed the salad as a whole. After the salad came the entrees. My dad got a pizza, which he loved. My friend got the mushroom ravioli, which he devoured so quickly he could hardly speak. I got the eggplant Parmesan, which came with spaghetti. Argenziano’s marinara sauce is SO. GOOD. I can’t remember if I’ve ever had a better eggplant parm. For dessert, we had a cannolli(as mentioned in previous reviews, they do it right), tiramisu and almond cake. All were delicious! Thank you, Argenziano’s, for a fun and incredibly yummy night!!!

Been going here for years now. Not much to say but call ahead in case they have closed to go hunting. Other than that minor issue the pizza is amazing and so are the wings. We do however try to go during down times as when the place is busy it can get really loud inside and it takes a while to get your food. But its worth the wait.

I really enjoyed this restaurant; especially since it is so close to home! The food was delicious and the service was decent. TIP: they put a lot of extras on their salads including olives. Make sure to order accordingly if you are picky like I am.

This is a really great little Italian restaurant! The house bread is soooo good! Also, the house dressing is amazing! I would go back just to get a side salad because I was very impressed. The lasagna is also good and the portions are HUGE! If you order that make sure to be hungry or maybe even share! I really liked this place on my first try and I will be back! Yum!

We just moved down the road from this little resturant. The first time the customer service was pretty good. I ordered the jumbo mushroom raviolis. The menu has the price at $ 13.50 and didn’t have a sauce. I was asked if I wanted Alfredo or Red sauce. I ordered the Alfredo. When the bill came they added 3 bucks. Apparently, because it was Alfredo. My fiancée had the chicken Alfredo.(they breaded the chcicken for him for a few dollars more) We both also had a side salad with the house dressing. So, here a the deal. I dunno if they were having a bad night but the Alfredo tasted processed(jar). The mushroom raviolis tasted like the were frozen at some point. The salads were pretty average(iceberg lettuce). The winner here was the house dressing. It was awesome. It tasted fresh and was a nice touch for an Italian resturant. We ended with the tiramisu cake. I have to say it was absolutely amazing. This was definitely the winner of the night(when I was giving my compliments and about the quality of the tiramisu it was made aware that it was shipped in from Phoenix.) We didn’t allow this first visit stop us from trying it again. This time we come with a different game plan. I ordered the meat lasagna my fiancé ordered the stuffed cheese shells. I was really impressed with the lasagna. This time the sauce was amazing it was stuff packed full of cheese and ricotta. It really was delightful meal. My fiancé also enjoyed the stuffed shells. We again got the side salad with the house dressing. We ended this fabulous meal with the tiramisu from Phoenix. The customer service was better on the first night and the next dining experience the food was better. I would recommend giving them a shot. We plan to keep trying them and hopefully we be giving them a five star rating soon.

Great family Italian restaurant. Food, atmosphere and service was great! Awesome sunset view if you want to sit outside. Parking is convenient just right off the street. I wish they served gluten free pasta for the kids but it’s still a 5 star from me!

Argenziano’s is amazing. Best eggplant parmesan ever. Their sausage is wonderful and their seafood soup is to die for. If you want something lighter I’d highly recommend the antipasto salad. The dressing is incredible. Argenziano’s doesn’t skimp on the garlic. It’s Italian done right!!!

Argenziano’s is apparently a well known name in this area of Tucson when it comes to Italian food. The place was crowded on a Friday night as is to be expected. However, we still landed a table without too much of a hassle. One odd«rule» they had was that they wouldn’t give one person in our party a table until everyone had arrived. I guess this means they don’t take reservations as well? Strange policy that wasn’t too welcoming. We wanted to try the pizza since it was a big part of the buzz around the restaurant. We were told it was going to be an hour and fifteen minutes for the pizza. Unbelievable! We made the best of the situation by ordering some calamari and a bottle of wine. The bread they brought out wasn’t warm at all and was the plainest tasting«fresh bread» I’ve ever had at any Italian restaurant. It made me worry about how the pizza dough was going to compare. They only brought out one bread ball per person and never offered to bring more. The calamari was nice and simply prepared with a light breading and basic marinara sauce. Nothing outstanding or unusual about it. The pizza ended up arriving sooner than we were quoted, halfway through our appetizer. Timing is definitely off at this place. No one likes rearranging plates on a crowded table before you’ve finished a dish to make room for everything you ordered. The pizza was good. Again, it wasn’t spectacular. It was just a decent pizza. The dough was a little bland but not as bad as their bread. The crust was the type that had lots of excess flour left on it so it was notably dry. Argenziano’s seems to be a favorite with the locals, catering to the known regulars and they often gave long demonstrative extended greetings in the middle of the restaurant. That’s nice if you’re one of them. The restaurant was a large wide open space filled with tables. That’s basically it. Not much to look at, no cozy booths or areas that created a nice ambiance. When I think of a generations-deep family run Italian restaurant this is not at all what I picture. A lot of their business seemed to be pizza take out orders. That’ll most likely be my approach if I choose to eat this food again.

Pros: cheesy garlic bread; pizza Cons: horribly noisy; way too much«how are you doing» — honestly, let me actually eat a full bite between visits; management attitude I’ve eaten here 3 times in the past 3 years. Last night I was reminded again why I don’t come back. The first time I had stuffed shells. Pretty good, but the red sauce was way too sweet. I was also seated in a very, very busy area — where the wait staff came out from the bar and kitchen. Not enjoyable. Second time I simply ordered the garlic breadsticks to go. VERY tasty! Last night I took friends. Our cheesy garlic bread appetizer was great! Calamari was ok. Not excellent, not horrible. Our food arrived, but my order was not right. My server offered to re-fire, but I declined as I preferred to actually eat WITH my companions. Apparently the pizzas my party ate were excellent. Generally when a restaurant screws up your order, you receive an apology and a heartfelt«how can I make this better for you» Perhaps if I were a constant customer I would have been treated differently… Instead my companion was also questioned as to my order. «Really? It was eggplant parm? Not chicken?» I have not eaten chicken parm in decades, that would never be an order for me. Sorry the server wrote chicken(I looked at the order later), perhaps she heard ‘*** parm’ and assumed chicken. As other reviewers have stated, the noise level is high. Still, not the customer’s issue. The bill came with me charged full price for the wrong entrée. Explaining that you didn’t charge one of the kids for their second soda because of the issue made no sense. Apparently no one questions management. We appeared to anger her because we questioned why charge full price for the wrong meal. Since the server offered to re-fire and I refused, apparently that meant I was fully responsible for the wrong food. My dogs may have enjoyed the chicken that I was brought instead of the eggplant parmesan I ordered, but it was taken away by management, presumably to be thrown away. I was then charged for the sides that came with the order — which I had actually eaten. Management — listen to your customers. Yes you are a small business, but you will be even smaller if you treat others the same way you treated my and my party of four. I have no intentions of returning. When you or your staff makes a mistake, own up to it; don’t make it the customer’s problem.

I’ve been eating the delicious food the Argenziano family makes for 22 years, and it just gets better and better. They make their red sauce, Italian dressing and dough from scratch, and they are unbelievable. Some of my favorite things to eat there are the pizza, Rays Special sub, chicken parm sub, baked ziti, lasagna, stuffed shells and the French fries. I’ve never had anything I didn’t like there, but it would be tacky to list the whole menu! Aside from the food, the Argenzianos are the nicest people, and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Its a bit of a drive from town, but its more than worth it!

Beautiful drive down from Tucson on Houghton. Went there to meet friends from Green Valley, roughly half way for both of us. The food was so-so, house salad dressing was the best part of the meal. Noisy, noisy, noisy. But it was a beautiful day for a drive to see friends.

I’ve lived within walking distance from this little Italian gem for over 10 years, and I for one am thankful for its existence for various reasons. It’s great for those nights I’m not up for cooking, and perfect when family or company are in town. Considering this restaurant started out as a little pizzeria, it’s definitely impressive how it has still managed to keep its«lil hometown» feel. Most definitely worth a try. Yes, prices are a bit higher than they were a some years back, but portion sizes have remained generous, and the quality is still great. That’s certainly more than can be said for many restaurants these days. For those reviews that complain about Ray’s attitude, well he’s a true east coast no b. s kinda of guy. He’s not going to kiss your booty, or wash your feet to convince you to eat at his establishment. He has a dry sense of humor, and the only way he feels he needs to please anyone is through treating his family, and staff with respect, and placing the rest into his good home style Italian/American cooking! There is no need for anything else, the food speaks for itself. If you’re interested in giving this place a try, I’d say don’t hesitate. I personally prefer eating as takeout, rather than dinning in. The building is small, however, clean. It can be a tad noisy, but that’s, because it’s jammed packed literally all the time for dinner. Service has always been good any one of the number of times that I’ve dined in. This Italian/American restaurant most certainly speaks for itself. It’s a staple around these parts, and its not because it’s the only thing out here. It’s because of the fact that for many years Ray and family have consistently provided great food, and service. For me, and my family there really isn’t any other Italian restaurant that we care for, or frequent as we do here. Thanks Ray & family for continuing to provide excellent, friendly service, and great tasting food. Reminds me of home every time I order.

With limited dining options out in Vail/Corona de Tucson — this place is a little gem. It is family owned and operated and they make all of the customers feel right at home. It is located in a stand alone building which is not much to look at from the outside, but inside — it reminds me of this throwback 70’s Italian restaurant you would see back east. I have never had a bad meal or service here. Their pizza is delicious, sandwiches hearty and the entrée’s are fantastic. So here is what I like on the menu and recommend — for Pizza — the Ray’s special(it is like a deluxe combination) for Sandwich — Meatball ALL the way(the vegetarian is VERY good as well) for Entrée — the stuffed ravioli, either shrimp or mushroom… covered in cream sauce = YUM. couple of tips — their Fries are to DIE for, they are fresh cut, and an order comes in a big basket so enough to share for sure. for dessert — Cannoli hands down, they do it RIGHT.

Never have had a bad experience here. The food is great and the service level is high. Busy nights there is a wait, but if you come a little later(7:30) you can usually miss the rush. We typically go 2 – 3 times a month. You can easily feed a family of four very inexpensively. Or add on some fantastic appetizers and still walk away feeling like you had a good value. This is family run and therefore staff turnover is low and qualify all around is consistent.

Not bad for being all the way out on Corona. Having lived in cities with Little Italys, I don’t think this would survive where there was great Italian food. The pizza is good enough to keep me from driving all the way into town to get pizza, but not blow your mind good. Their spaghetti sauce is bland. The dining area is very small, often creating long waits for moderate business. The décor is outdated and in need of an update. Still, it’s not terrible, nor is it great. It’s just okay. They close early so if you want to eat, get there early. They are also not open on Sunday or Monday. I absolutely respect their decision to be closed on Sundays.

We don’t have a lot of establishments here in Corona, but my wife and I are very thankful to have Argenzianos out here. Great Italian food, friendly staff and fair prices. Best pizza we have found in all of the Tucson area. Seafood soup is fantastic. Plenty of seafood and a nice amount of spice. Chicken parm dish is enough for two! Give this place a try. You won’t be disappointed.
