I was in town for a conference and tried to come here for dinner with family. The host let us know it was opening seating at the bar. We went to the bar and sat down, all of us in business attire. The first waiter poured water in our glasses, made zero eye contact with no greeting at all. The second waitress came to our table, plopped for menus on the end of our table and walked away. We were all perplexed! When she came back I asked her if they had any specials going on. She opened my menu and answered, «This is our menu, these are the drinks, these are the appetizers…» turns page… «these are the entre…». Finally I cut her off and said, «We understand what a menu is. I was asking what you recommend and if you have any specials such as happy hour. But now I want to know why you are being so rude?». Needless to say we walked out and will never return. This was the absolute worst dining experience I have ever had and left offended and embarrassed for my family. The only nice thing I can possible say is the host apologized to us on our way out. Thankfully, the location in Cherry Creek is nothing like this one.

What a F**king joke. How can Elway even have his name associated with this place. Slow service. Ross is a freaking idiot. The calamari tasted like I ordered it at a county fair in the fried food tent. Our burgers came out INSANELY over cooked. My brother ordered his Medium Rare. It came out like a black piece of charcoal. My, medium burger came out even blacker than my brothers if that’s even possible. We asked for the check and sent our food back. The manager didn’t even have the balls to face us or apologize. Sorry we decided to order 20DOLLARBURGERS. If that’s why we were treated like sh*t then f you.

Elwood should s it the bench for this lackluster meal. Nose bleed food with 50 yard line prices. The wine list was left over from the Kardashians and corporate business accounts. The porter house at RChris, Mortons, Capitol … Is the place they can learn from. Steaks from tailgating is to remember where we all started. I would give this a 3 star only because my wife’s Sea Bass… Was very good… I don’t usually write reviews… however call me old fashion.:.:words like«Value» come to mind…

I’ve been here a number of times. It’s not exactly the same as the Elways in Denver. Last time I was there I was told they took the John salad off the menu! Disappointed about that… I’m not sure how much different the rest of the menu is from the Denver locations. Typical steak house with a limited menu. I’ll go back but not my 1st choice when in Vail.

Amazing quality food, service décor and menu options were all top notch! Best meal I had in vail. Filet was cooked perfect, sides and sauces were sooooo good and dessert was bananas. The lamb chop fondue Is a must along with the short rib, and the cookies and milk for dessert. Ross our server just completed the whole great dinning experience and we were a large party of 7. Can’t wait to come back on my next trip and eat here again!

Like the QB, this restaurant is overrated. The food was ok at best. For the price I expected better. It is priced like a expensive steak house but the food was not as good. My steak was on a regular plate and got cold pretty fast. It was cooked correctly, and had good flavor but I can not say it is equivalent to Ruth’s Chris or another high end steak restaurant. We also ordered a kale salad which was also just ok. It was big enough to share but not a huge salad like I thought it would be. We did not get dessert. The drinks were just ok too. I am glad I got the experience. Our waitress was great and overall service was good. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice also.

Sadly I only can give 1 star. We had reservations for a party of 12 Saturday night at 8:30. We had 2 people waiting on our table and they each took orders at separate times. Half the table got drinks way before the other half and half the table got to order appetizers before the other side. Some people got appetizers before other people even ordered them. Everything was coming out at different times and made the meals and drinks hard to enjoy. A few peoples steaks came out and they weren’t cooked the way they were supposed to be, my friend sent hers back. My Elways salmon came out pretty cold which made it hard to eat. I barely finished half of it. For the majority of the dinner we were the only table in the room so I’m not sure what made everything so difficult but it was definitely a major disappointment considering we had many guests in from out of town and the dinners were very expensive. The checks took forever to come out and like before, half the table was paid up before the other half got their checks. We should have just gotten different tables because that’s what it felt like. I was sad we spend so much money and didn’t enjoy our meal :(I live in Denver and have been to the Elways in Cherry Creek but will not be going back after this time. There are plenty of nice places in Vail and Denver please don’t over pay for poor service and just decent food. My one star however does go to the lamb chop fondue, the kale salad and the macaroni and cheese. They are all fabulous.

While the chef has mastered the menu and food prep, wait service fell off quickly and management needs to be replaced immediately. The first time I’ve ever recommended a change in not just manager but asst manager as well(who is also the coat check guy…, go figure!?!) First, we arrived for an early reservation to be near the fireplace. Lovely. Yet, an hour later when a very vocal woman and her friends were sat next to us and asked that the fire be extended, they accommodated her despite our request for a compromise. Asst manager and manager both were condescending and derogatory, and refused to consider any compromise or accommodation despite our $ 500 bill. Who sits people next to a fireplace who don’t want a fire, and then ignores other guests’ requests for compromise??? Then, I asked for a Chardonnay by the glass and they sent me their most expensive, $ 40/glass, without asking. Huh??? Food’s good, but management is poor and just looking for cash flow. We will not be back.

We love Elways and decided to go there after the Broncos win and it made the day even better! We sat at the bar and the bartender was very good, she made excellent cocktails and said all the bartenders there come up with the craft cocktails, which I thought was great! We shared the Lamb Chop Fondue and the #7 burger. Hands down the best burger in the village! They have a great happy hour too or as Vail calls it «Apre ski»!

Celebrated my birthday dinner at Elway’s Vail. Great choice and ever as good as Elway’s in Cherry Creek.(I’ve even had a fantastic burger at Elway’s at Denver International Airport.) Appetizers — The R.I. Calamari(I’m a Squid fan!) except for rubbery Calamari and this order was no where near buoyant. Tasty and perfect! . The wedge salad bordered perfection! Just right. I’m not a steak eater(I know, I know, what was I doing here) but my dinner date is and for some reason I enjoy watching folks enjoying a delightful steak and I like the steakhouse atmosphere mostly… I always tell myself I’ll try a bite of steak after 34 years of an inability to put it in my mouth…(yet I’m no vegan) but Great filet and crab legs for my dinnermate, the lobster mashed potatoes are out of this world but pretty rich. A few taste and I’d make sure to stop so you have«room» for all the other great food. My lobster was tops and I’ve had many lobsters in my life. A very nice wine selection plus several Colorado crafted beers(no surprise here.) Service was excellent and friendly. Everything on point. Because I was the birthday girl they brought me out the finest Ding Dong dessert I could have wished for. Thank you, Elway’s, for the lovely ambience and great food off a fun menu that did not disappoint. Touch down!

I’ve been here multiple times with my husband and we always leave full and happy! Service isn’t always the best but food is great, pricey– but worth it! Lamb chop fondue is a must! I also love their filet– they season their steaks perfectly! They also make great cocktails!

Loved the patio and the happy hour. We went when it was slow, which was nice because it was quiet. Our waitress was very personable and attentive. The calamari was good, artichoke too– even though it was small. We had the red wine on HH and really liked it– great deal! We have eaten at Elways in Denver for fine dining and this location lived up to Vail and what you would expect. We would go back for sure!

This place deserves 5 stars!!! It’s located in beautiful Vail. Elegant ambiance. Amazing service. DELICIOUSFOOD!!! My husband and I got married last weekend. And decided to have our rehearsal dinner at Elway’s. We had about 30 people in our party, and Elway’s set us up in their beautiful & modern private room which was perfect because it gave us our own private space so that there wouldn’t be any distractions and we could all spend time together. They were so accommodating in helping us develop our menu. And when we all got there, the service was A+++! They made us feel so special that night. The service was very attentive but not overwhelming. And the food was AMAZING! Their beef short rib is some of the best I have ever had! And their french fries — because who doesn’t love perfectly done french fries?! Their artichoke was addicting. And their Ding Dong dessert was so fun and reminded me of childhood! We loved this place so much that we came back for dinner the night after our wedding since we were still in Vail. And the staff remembered us and made us feel so welcome again. I love this place. Cannot wait to come back!

You can not beat Elway’s in terms of Vail steakhouses, it’s simply the best. The starters are great and the steaks are of the highest quality. My bone-in filet was perfectly cooked and it melted in my mouth, which was just wild. 10/10, would bang

Hands down the best filet I’ve ever had in my life! The steak here was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The potatoes au gratin are delicious, they crumble potato chips on top for an added crunch. The calamari is truly a show stopper, it is crispy and delicious and they also fry up some spicy peppers with it. Another absolute must are he crab cakes! They are moist and flavorful and extremely fresh, you can tell that they haven’t been frozen. To end your meal try the key lime pie or the cheesecake! I loved everything we ordered here and will definitely be coming back in the future.

I hate to admit this but during a 4-day trip to Vail, we went here twice. First time, my wife ordered the seafood tower, AMAZING! I ordered the rib eye and the au gratin. Second night, we started happy hour a bit early and the hour of happy went for a quite a few hours and for some reason, I felt like I was a rich man and decided to come back for another rib eye(I think it was $ 53). Just as good as the night before, I think. I was drunk. The wife was enjoying her buzz and didn’t eat so I woofed down the meat and we went on our way. I think.

Great Ski Town, not as many good food options however. This restaurant is a good draw because of the name. The location couldn’t be better — inside the lodge at Vail, perfect. One star. The service is suspect — They seem like they listen, but then don’t deliver. There weren’t many tables full when we were there, and we had 2 servers, which kind of complicated matters as they didn’t communicate well. They were polite and corrected as we went, but something was off. Food was ok, not even above ok. The dressings are more creamy and from a jar than home made. The steak was much tougher than any dry aged meat I have ever tried. Pretty sad considering the name and the location. The pricing was outrageous, even for Vail. It wasn’t even comparable to a supermarket steak. This alone is reason enough not to go here. All in all, this was a huge disappointment. I would not return.

We came here for dinner to celebrate the hubby’s 3 – 0 and loved it. We’ve been to the other Elway’s in Denver and felt like this one was on par with the rest of them. We arrived on time and were promptly welcomed, checked-in and seated almost right away. Our waiters came by to introduce themselves pretty soon after we were seated and gave us the rundown. When we finally got around to ordering & then enjoying our drinks, appetizers, and dinner — we were all smiles. Everything is just so tasty! I actually went for the burger this time, and before you hate on me for getting a burger at Elway’s — you have to try it! I know there are so many other delicious things on their menu, but steakhouses can make mean burgers and Elway’s was no exception! I’d definitely get that again. We also had the roasted red pepper soup, lamb fondue, and some steaks. Yum! And if you’re celebrating something special — let them know! They gave us a Ding Dong on the house and it was delightful! PS — even though we are all guilty of «Colorado casual,» this is not the place to come dressed in sweatpants and a sweatshirt! Ahem to the man at the table next to us!

The lamb fondue app is to die for. Literally the best thing I’ve tasted in years. We ordered steak entrees after that and yes they were great, but they paled in comparison to the lamb. It was everything. Get thee to Elway’s Vail and try it immediately! Service was excellent.
