West coaster doing some soul food searching… New to the area and stopped in to try this place. Place is clean and put together well. Staff was very friendly and continued to check up on us throughout the meal. They have a little bar if your looking for a place to get a drink. I didn’t partake on this day since we stopped in for a late lunch. Their drink menu did look like it had some good options. The Georgia boy sandwich had cajun grilled shrimp with sriracha ranch that gave it just the right kick and the fried green tomatoes made this sandwich amazing. Also had the chicken and Shrimp combo basket. Tried the wildcat sauce on the wings, had a honey mustard flavor that was dulled out by something with a little spice to it. It went together well, whatever was mixed in the sauce. Tried the garlic parmesan on the shrimp and it didn’t disappoint with flavor. It was a powdery seasoning that had a strong garlic and parmesan flavor. I can’t say I’ve had shrimp seasoned that way before but it was really good. Their mac’n’cheese was also really good. It had real cheese on it. Sweet tea is what you expect and love in the south. Good experience, I would definitely go back and would recommend giving it a try. I’ve heard good things about their pulled pork so will have to try that next time.

I’ve known Big Nick for years and have to say this restaurant is a true representation of him: community centered, family-oriented, and fun. Get the Gator Bites and thank me later. The Mrs. Harden cocktail is fantastic and my menu favorites include the pork chops, Mac N Cheese and greens. If you can get your hands on some of the banana pudding or red velvet cake order several because they sell out early everyday. I was really surprised at the diverse the crowd. The atmosphere was very chill and allowed me to to be able to set up my laptop and work while I ate. Sean the Bartender and Chandler the server were great. I never had to flag anyone down but also never felt as though I was being bothered. The menu prices are extremely reasonable and I haven’t had a good Southern meal in a true restaurant atmosphere quite like this ever before. It’s worth a try!

Great… wonderful food… great service. The bbq was perfect great sauce also. The vegetables where great also… most places put too much salt, was perfectly seasoned.

Came here on a Friday night in October. We got a shrimp po boy, ribs, collard greens, and dirty rice. All were very tasty, easily 5 stars for taste & value. Way to go chef!!! Atmosphere is also cool. Can sit outside or inside, and the 80s music is perfect. The service was friendly, but our server did not know the prices of the daily specials, so we asked for her to check. She told us one price and charged us another. When we pointed this out, she hoped we would not notice. No offer to give us the quoted price. This is Waitressing 101… learn the prices and let the customer decide. Don’t bait and switch.

Great barbecue in Valdosta GA! I’ve been here twice so far and been impressed both times. The Walter is my favorite thing on the menu; the meat is smoked until it’s very flavorful and tender, then topped with home made cole slaw and barbecue sauce between two pieces of Texas toast. The wings are a good size and aren’t overpriced. The only thing I wish was better here was the service. Both times I’ve been, the service was sub-par, hopefully just a random bad experience. All in all, I love this restaurant, definitely check it out.

Service was fantastic– everyone seemed like they loved their job. Food was typical southern cuisine– comforting. The pulled pork was tender and juicy and so were the greens. Great experience!

Since their opening not too long again I’ve been about six times. Overall I highly recommend it. No joke, the best baked beans and macaroni & cheese I’ve had… anywhere. The ribs were very good. I hate collard greens… but tried my boyfriends and they were the first ones ever that didn’t taste bitter and I actually swallowed them so that has to count for something. Cornbread good too. BBQ good but not best I’ve ever had. Little disappointed in the wings because I asked for them extra crispy and just seemed normal, which to me is not cooked enough. The only real problem I have had is the semi-drive through. You call your order ahead but a couple of times it has taken forever. Seriously like 30 minutes after I got there, having called in the order 15 minutes previously. So just eat inside or go inside to get your to-go order.

Pretty legit. Can really taste the smoke in the ribs. Prices are decent for the amount of food. The sides are really home-style. Love the mac and cheese and baked beans. Definitely worth a visit !
