Negligent rental department. Don’t respond to work orders.

We were using Herndon company while renting in Valdosta, and we spent 3 years in our unit. Every single time we had to use their services to replace appliances or do any repairs(e.g a repair form was filled the day of moving in for a door knob, and still the knob was not repaired when we moved out. The«funny» part was, they tried to charge us for the default and we had to prove them with the move-in inspection that just didn’t do their job…), it was a nightmare: we had to stay on top on everything, track them done to get their job done! That wasn’t what you could expect from a landlord in my opinion. An in the end, they abused us with the security deposit, giving us back 2⁄3 of it, to pay for random additionnal cost(cleaning because professionnaly done is not enough?), full replacement of appliance without taking in account any tear and wearing! It is surprising to see that the Georgia law was not applicable to this situation, they don’t apply any wearing pro rated to the move in day: as you move in everything becomes new and stays new even with usage… I will strongly recommend to check twice before taking any commitment with them. On the other hand, a friend bought and sold his property with them and he had a good experience with this part of the company.
