Service staff were very nice even though it was getting near closing time. Love their burgers and fries.

My husband and I eat at Five Guys all the time. The food is always amazing and they have the best Cajun fries anywhere. Most importantly, the staff is incredibly courteous and helpful. Recently, we had an experience where our food took a little longer than usual. I believe they were a little backed up, which is typical for any restaurant. The big difference with Five Guys is that they really care about you as a customer and want you to have a great experience. The fry cook upgraded our fries for free, and then the manager gave us a free milkshake, because they were so sorry our order took too long. You don’t find customer service like this in most burger chains. Definitely go to Five Guys!

I love their food, the buns are sweet and their fries are pretty good too, so I have no complaint about that at all. Depending on the time and day that you go it can be really busy so be ready for that. But what I’ve noticed is that the staff is either very friendly or very unfriendly, usually not in between. So when I went in the last time, it was slower and we sat and waited for our food, but for whatever reason didnt hear our order number being called. When we eventually did go to pick up our food the lady made a point of telling me that it won’t be her fault«if the food is cold because we have been calling you for 5 minutes now.» I know it would have been out of their way to get our attention but considering there were only two parties in the store it seemed lazy of them to not at least yell our number a little louder.

We came to pick up grub for a friend and I was interested in their shakes but didn’t order any. I figured I could do without the extra calories. Anyway, when we picked up our order, Our cashier, Dominick, had prepared us two shakes(chocolate and strawberry) on the house! He knew it was my first time here and he said I couldn’t leave without trying their infamous shakes. Apparently, they prepare their strawberry one with lemon and pepper(who knew?!). I’m excited to come back for their grilled cheese… and I wouldn’t mind knocking a few other shakes of my checklist either :)

I was super excited when I saw that a Five Guys was coming to the s.c.v. Of course, this review is long overdue. I like that you can add so many types of toppings to dress up your burger and make it your own – so many options. Though the price doesn’t justify the amount or quality of the food. Even a regular, standard hot dog is almost five bucks. The fries are tasty, though, particularly the cajun fries. The free peanuts are a nice touch but no shakes at a burger spot? Maybe I’m too accustomed to our west coast staple; you know which one I speak of, with the slogan: «That’s what a hamburger’s all about.»

The burger was good, but they screwed up all over. It took 15 minutes for us to get our order. We ordered a bacon cheeseburger, a little fry, and a small drink. We were instead charged for the burger, the little fry, and a regular fry instead of the small drink, a $ 1.50 difference. We did get the extra fry, but I thought the fries were mediocre so they’re getting thrown away. We got our burger, which was supposed to have tomatoes, grilled onions and mushrooms, and bacon. It only had the tomatoes. They remade it and let us keep the screwup, so at least there’s that. I won’t go back. Maybe when they open one in Bakersfield we’ll give it another shot.

The food is ok, but they rip you off on by not having combos, come on 4.19 for a regular french fries.. that’s bullshit 3 burgers and fries and 2 drinks 46 dollars. I feel ripped off

Our first and last time coming here. The food was way to over priced and it was disgusting. The cheese tasted like plastic and place just looked dirty. The potion size was small with the amount of money that you pay. At least put fries with the burger for 9 dollars.

This place is a hole. It’s filthy at 11:45AM when they only opened at 11. NOONE came out and cleaned tables ATALL the entire time we were there. They blare the music at you inside. I couldn’t hear anything my kids said ’til they screamed it across the table. Don’t get me wrong, i liked the music, but i would’ve liked to carry on a conversation during the LONG time we had to wait for the food. Speaking of which. It takes for ever to get your food… and then, the fries we got were only warm. WTF!!! I waited for 25 minutes for them to make my food ‘cuz there’s only one guy cooking as the lunch rush approaches and they give me luke warm fries. Not to mention it was $ 21 for 3 sandwiches(tiny little patties like any other fast food joint… not like a quarter or third pound), an order of fries and NO drinks. My kids kept saying«but you get free peanuts». What the heck? For that price, i should’ve walked out of there w/an entire box of free peanuts. For fast food quality food? I will never again throw my money away on this joint.

I came in and left once I saw the prices. Everything is separate. Saw the burgers cooking in the back and they were tiny. I think for the burger and side of fries was about $ 10 – 12 bucks plus tax. Funny though I don’t even think that included a drink. I might as well go to Red Robin to get a good size burger plus endless fries for that price. Plus you should see the sizes and prices for the fries. I thought they were joking for how much they were charging. I think the small 4 ounce looking cup was over $ 3. Place is a absolute rip off! If you go here your wasting they money… sorry.

I’ve been here a couple of times. The service here is quick and easy, and the employees are very polite. One of the things I’m really thankful for is that they have electrical outlets at one of the walls in the establishment. I’m very grateful for that as I was able to charge my phone while eating my food, and my phone was close to dying both times before I found this place so it at least gave it enough power to get home with. The burgers taste pretty decently. But they are a little pricey. They actually taste the same as a burger cooked by the culinary students in the College of the Canyons cafeteria, so when it comes to that, I think the pricing Five Guys puts for burgers is ridiculous. The fries are a little pricey too, but at the same time, they give you a big cup of fries. So I feel like you get what you pay for in that regard. I’ve had a couple of their milkshakes and they are ok at best as well. If I have some money to spare, I’d come here. Not bad, just a little overrated by SCV.

The food is good for fast food, but every time I have come to this location the runner forgets my food or the food comes out wrong. I have been to several Five Guys locations over the years as I travel for work and its easy. This is the only location I have been to more than once and the only one I have been to that messed my order up or forgot about part of it and took forever to come back. This location can get busy during the school year with UCSD, right down the street, and they probably don’t care about their reviews. If I am hungry and nearby, I might give it another shot, but frankly there are many options around this area of San Diego. Seems like an easy fix, you guys should get this location up to par with your other stores.

I don’t quite get the hype of Five Guys. I’ve been here a couple times just to see if it was any better than the last visit, but it’s all still very boring, bland, and just plain nothing special. In-N-Out has better burgers, and I think they have the most dry, unflavored burgers. For the price here, I rather go to Red Robin and get a fantastic burger, endless fries, and table service.

WORST customer service ever. The people that work here are so rude. Expect to wait a crazy amount of time(busy or not) for crap food. The hotdog I received wasn’t even edible.

How the mighty have fallen. Went in to pick up my to-go order. The place was a ghost town. Half the tables and chairs were taken out. No customers and only two people working. Once home, my daughter pointed out she had, instead of one burger sized patty, she had 2 – 3 pieces of a burger just placed on the bun. Mine was the same. Seriously? And the once awesome fries were inedible, seasoned with 2 – 3 times more seasoning than usual. I don’t remember ordering the Extreme Jacked Dynamite Doritos-flavored fries. We couldn’t even eat them. 95% ended up in the trash. I used to say Five Guys was one of the top five best burger and fries places in the SCV. Not any more.

Free Peanuts everywhere! I’ve never had five guys before today and after hearing so much about how this was the best burger ever, I just wasn’t into it. Boring, bland, and greasy. Got the cajun fries and they were mushy. The store was not dirty, but not clean… i can’t explain it. Service was quick and friendly, but I just wasn’t a fan of the food.

The service here is extraordinary. I was welcomed by multiple staff members and even got the door opened for me. Their team is extremely efficient in communicating with each other and do a good job finding out what they need to put on the grill before completing an order. As I was waiting for my food I noticed the cook be extremely enthusiastic with his job and would welcome and say bye to every single visitor that walks in. You can really tell the team members enjoy working there even if it’s just a fast food gig. Also, I noticed them challenging each other to see who could get something done faster. This may be for their own enjoyment to make work more exciting, but it really is a bonus for the customers to be served by a team that’s trying to get their food out as fast as possible. The cheeseburger was fantastic and the ingredients from the buns to the toppings i.e. pickles tomato etc are all top notch. You can tell the fries are also very fresh and in my opinion, the best thickness for a fry. Yes they are pretty pricey for a burger joint but with the A+ service and ingredients, I think it’s worth it.

I had high hopes for this place, as apparently it is rated in the top 3 of best fast food burger joints in the country. Sadly, it’s far from the top. As we walked in, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We ordered our burgers(expensive for one regular hamburger -$ 6.29 and one little hamburger — $ 4.39. Any topping that you add is free, and they have a large list of items to add. The place had very few patrons, yet it took about 15 minutes to get our order of 2 burgers. The bun was fresh but so soft that it became soggy quickly. The patty(bigger than In n Out) had very little flavor, as did the accompanying mushrooms and onions. The only thing that really added flavor was the condiments. It wasn’t a bad tasting burger, it was just incredibly underwhelming. For the money, In n Out delivers a much better burger at a fraction of the cost. tip — it’s located within the Westfield Valencia Mall, 2nd floor, outside

FANCYDINNERPRICES, BASICBURGERTASTE: My son and I have been tasked with a serious undertaking — eating at any and all burger joints in the Santa Clarita Valley. Although I’m a ‘food explorer”, he is mainly a burger fanatic which limits our dining experience. Thus, the Burger Barnstorm. Two things stick out from this cloudy Saturday early-afternoon excursion — steak sauce and the price. The burger wasn’t seasoned very well and almost felt steamed. No caramelization that you’d expect from a burger from the flat top. I guess that is why they offered, strangely enough, A-1 Steak Sauce. Added after the fact overpowered the flavor of the beef and wasn’t married into the flavors. I ordered sautéed onion and mushrooms which, in addition to no caramelization, added a mushy texture. The ‘little’ burger/bun patty alone costs more than a combination at your chains and with one drink, up-sold ‘shared’ fries and an ice water was $ 20. The sales twist that makes Five Guys unique is all toppings whether you add 10 or zero are included. Atmosphere was similar to Johnny Rockets or Ed Debevic’s with the staff singing along to the tunes playing over the sound system. Difference was the tunes were more classic Rock ballads, an interesting twist instead of the period music at the others… I really appreciated the great service though, from the initial sale through delivery of the food and a brief Q&A with someone working the floor(cleaning, etc). For that price though, I expected live music and more of a WOW factor… for a similar experience, I would recommend Rustic Burger. At least that way, you can have a beer in a more ‘hip” environment. Before going to Six Flags, my hubs and I decided to split a burger(we weren’t that hungry and figured it would be better to grab food outside of the park). We came around 11am and got our food pretty quick. The store itself was clean and smelled like delicious greasy burgers and fries. We ordered a little cheeseburger– that comes with one patty that’s really enough for anyone but one that has a big appetite. We also got all of the black toppings minus the mushrooms. When we got the burger, I was surprised to see how big the burger was, even with all the toppings. The bun to meat ratio was a little uneven in my opinion, but the patty itself is thicker than most chain restaurants like mcdonalds. The burger was a little greasy cause the bun started falling apart, but nonetheless, it didn’t take away from what I believe a 5G burger taste like. You can always count on 5G burgers to taste the same or similar, depending on what toppings you get, across the board. This place is no different. I like the location of this place cause it’s part of the outer part of the Valencia mall that is next to the mall parking lot, that has an easy in and out of the mall. This place can also get pretty loud, especially during lunch time, so make sure you can yell loud enough for the staff to hear your order. I have to give it up to the cashiers because you have to have really good hearing… especially to hear me, since I tend to speak softly.
