I’ve waited awhile to write this review to give myself time to calm down but I’m still just as mad as the day this all went down. Rosalind was my stylist and I had been going to her for a year before this. I never had any complaints but one day that all changed. I went in for color and a trim. I expressed that I wanted my hair darker(no more highlights). After it was done my hair was BLACK! Raven black! Not what I wanted at all. But this was the least of my problems. The whole time I was there Rosalind talked horrible about several of her coworkers that would walk by. She would point out someone to me and say a bad story about her and then say«f — ing b — h!» This is not what I wanted to hear while I’m at a salon trying to relax and paying good money. Well, I decided to call the owners up and explain the situation about my hair and all I wanted was a refund on the color. They were so RUDE. Such jerks. Like I didn’t matter to them at all. A consistent client of a year! I also explained to them how unpleasant Rosalind was and the horrible things she would tell me during my service. They didn’t care at all. They told me to basically shut-up. I was appalled. I have never been back and neither should you. Very poorly ran business. I found a new salon and have been very happy. The stylist I use now could not believe the color job I got at Salon Glo. She said it was so damaged and poorly done. And apparently I wasn’t her first color correction from GLO. I hope this salon goes out of business. Honestly, I blame the owners. Very unprofessional and bad business men. Shame on you.

I was referred to Salon Glo by a friend. I called for a same day appointment on a Saturday. Rather than requesting a specific stylist, I was scheduled with whomever was available. I guess this was my mistake, as the stylist I was assigned to get my cut by had several same day openings. I say this as my last stylist required at least a month in advance to book a Saturday appointment. I really wanted to get my hair cut though so I went with it as Salon Glo had many rave reviews. I was scheduled with Kaye, and while she was extremely nice, her confidence in her work was clearly missing. I wanted my length to be taken up quite a bit, to a little passed my shoulders. I even pointed out another stylist’s hair length, stating I wanted my hair just like hers but just a little longer. When she cut the length it was nowhere near to how short I pointed out, but she informed me that if I wasn’t happy with the length I could come back in a week or so and she’d cut it again without charging me. She then proceeded to tell me she specialized in more mid length to longer hair, and the stylist who worked right next to her specialized in shorter hair. Umm, okay. When it came to styling, again I pointed out another stylist’s hair to show her how I wanted my hair curled. And again as she began to curl, she stated she wasn’t as good as some of the other stylists when it came to styling. Why anyone would admit this to their clients I have no clue. I called for an appointment after deciding I did want it shorter. The receptionist told me he’d let her know the situation, that I was coming in to shorten it a bit like she had offered when I first came in. Maybe he didn’t make it clear to her because if he did, they should’ve called me back to let me know it couldn’t be done instead of wasting my time. Apparently I was 3 days too late for her to honor what she stated. She informed me she’d have to charge me for an entirely new haircut because I didn’t come back during the first week. Needless to say I was upset with the situation so I told her I wasn’t going to pay for an entirely new cut yet again. I proceeded back to the front desk to express my disappointment in the services I received to Rick at the front desk. Apparently he is one of the owners, but he clearly didn’t care about the situation. He almost seemed like he didn’t want to hear my concerns. I informed him that she was not confident in cutting my hair shorter the first time I came in and he straight up told me «then you probably don’t want her doing it anyway». Why he would be okay with a stylist admitting to such things as to specializing only in certain hair lengths and not knowing how to style hair is beyond me. He also said«well you came in a week and half ago.» as if my hair grew 6 inches or something in that time frame. There was just no empathy for the customer and no resolution. I wasn’t expecting him to have anyone else cut my hair at that very moment or anything like that but perhaps an apology or a little understanding would’ve went a long way. I’m not sure of the type of training they provide to their stylists but it seemed extremely lacking when it came to this particular stylist. My advice is, get recommendations and read reviews to learn of who are actually great stylists at a particular salon to avoid being scheduled with the stylists who are there for walk-ins. I hate to write a review like this as I rarely even write reviews, but for this experience I just had to share so others can avoid similar situations and have to leave feeling awful. I will not be coming back.

I have been going to salon glo for years and I absolutely love! Roslyn does my hair, color, cuts, extensions. She does it all and she has done nothing but amazing work. I had Cynthia do my wedding makeup and she did a great job as well. Very easy to get the look you want with these girls, they are the best!

First time coming here and I’m so glad I did! Cely knew exactly what I wanted and delivered 100%. I had alot of anxiety with finally deciding to chop off my mane.. good thing there was wine! ;) but seriously they did an amazing job and I am definitely coming back. For someone who will literally procrastinate almost 2 years before even thinking about getting a TRIM, this place won’t disappoint. And! location is quite convenient. They were able to accommodate me within 5 minutes even though I didn’t have an appointment. … I think I might actually be willing to go in for regular trims since she did such an amazing job(most of the time I just let my hair grow until it starts strangling me). Give them a try!

I love this salon. From the beautiful décor to the amazing stylists, this place knows what they’re doing. I went to Amanda Ferrone the first time to start my ombré, and she did a phenomenal job. She listened to what I wanted and made sure my hair wouldn’t be damaged with what we did. I will be going back this month for some more color and will continue to.

I have been a client of Josslyn’s for close to 10 years and never left her chair with anything less than an amazing cut a perfect color. When she recently left I was terrified to try somebody new because she knew me and my(challenging) hair so well. I was referred to Kiley and she is just as awesome! She is friendly and really listens to what I want and offers great suggestions. She does incredible color, I would highly recommend booking an appointment with her.

Wow nicest salon I have ever seen! When you walk in there you will be amazed by how nice and clean everything is! Kiley cuts my hair and does a great job everytime. She is always so above and beyond nice and Happy to see me. Really makes me feel at home :) also Rick is always at the front with a big smile to greet you and make sure your experience at the salon is one to remember. Thank you salon Glo and the whole staff!

Amanda was awesome! My son wanted a change in hair color and she was able to get right the first time. She really takes the time to make sure you are satisfied with her work. The owner is really nice too! He remembers you and greets you with a smile.

This Salon is my absolute favorite in the city for many reasons, but Devin is the biggest part of it! Devin has been my hair dresser for several years, and when I say I only trust Devin, it’s the truth. I have curly hair that is the biggest pain in my butt, but Devin knows the best solutions to keep my hair healthy! I now live in San Francisco, but every time I come home, Devin is my go-to. In addition to me, she has built such a clientele, so it’s even easier to refer her to others! Her portfolio ranges from great cuts to even better color. As for the salon in general, well that’s a no-brainer. Dan has created such a wonderful atmosphere with top-notch talent, that anyone you decide to go to will be worth it. I have also known Kiley, Breck, and Summar for several years, and the work they do is incredible. What I love most about this salon(besides the wine while you get pretty), is the ongoing trainings these stylists go through. Education is SO important in their field, and the team at Salon Glo knows that. They’re constantly improving their craft and it’s very cool to see. They will take the time to get to know you, learn what you like, and work with you to get you where you want to be! Love this salon, love Devin!

If you’re looking to get color done ask for Kiley! She’s absolutely amazing. Whether it’s subtle natural tones or more vibrant fashion colors, she’s got a great eye for it all! I have naturally black hair but have been bleaching it platinum. My roots were in pretty bad shape when I came in. She lightened my roots, removed the leftover temp color I had in and toned everything till my hair was this beautiful creamy blonde. Which I loved and will definitely return to her for when I’m over my unicorn hair craze. We wanted to do something that was more colorful and fun so Kiley actually used purples, blues, and mint in my hair to create this awesome iridescent rainbow effect. It turned out better than anything I could have imagined and I couldn’t be happier with the result!

So let’s talk about my experience today at Salon Glo, I’ll honestly say at first I was nervous cause I looked at the most recent reviews but also saw the many good reviews. I was also just nervous because I treasure my hair like most women, especially with long hair. But to start the salon is beautiful, I love the décor and the colors. They immediately offer a drink, they actually had a lot of selections. My stylist was a gorgeous girl named Cely, I gave her my trust and just told her to fix the colors I had going on I just wanted to stick to blondes. I knew it was going to take a lot of our time, over 3 hours, she was completely understanding with me fidgeting and moving around a bit after so long, when some stylists just tug you around and get fussy when you do cause usually they become impatient as well, but not her. I was honestly surprised by her patience, it didn’t make me feel so bad for my long hair. She did a balayage, rinsed then went back in with some weaved highlights, then a toner. After that she trimmed all my dead ends, blow dried, and curled. And all for under $ 200, I’m happy. I’ll definitely be back to her at Salon Glo.

I had my color done from a stylist who said she was going on vacation the next day. My color was a bit off, so I had to wait for her to return. I called to reschedule with her but the Owner was very rude and would not allow for any corrections. He said it would have had to been corrected the next day. The owner was mean and seemed to only care about his greed for money and making the customer feel bad. There was no sign saying if your not satisfied with your hair color-you need to come back the next day to correct it or no refunds! We have many other customer service –oriented Salons in our area, who care about customers being happy, satisfied, and that my friends is what being in business is all about. Salon Glo stinks!!!
