I am so thankful that they are open on a Sunday! The guy just did his smog work, one customer after the other and he was fast and courteous! I think my whole wait was less than 30 minutes without an appointment. Most SMOG places are closed on Sundays. And it was close to my home. This is just what the weekday working folks need. Thanks A1!

Awesome quick service! Staff is friendly and knowledgable — gave us a heads up to replace a fuel cap soon because it’s worn and old, otherwise it’ll cause the check engine light to turn on.
We walked in and out within 15 minutes. Definitely check this place out!

The business is located in an old gas station, but don’t let looks fool you, service is top notch. The technician, Sayeed, was very friendly and straight forward. When you get there, if there is line don’t worry, it goes fast. When I arrived there were a few people there but I only had to wait 5 to 10 mins. Once it was my turn, service took about 10 minutes. Definitely going back here for my next smog.

I called to make an appointment this morning but I needed to go gt an oil change first. He said no problem just come on down afterwards. I did. Got seen right away! I don’t know the guy’s name but he took great care of me! I will recommend A1 to everyone and I will be back!

American Canyon, CA
Awesome! Was looking for a quick place to get a smog on my 2009 Highlander and most places were closed. It was nearly 1 pm on Sunday and I gave them a call. The guy who answered the phone asked me when I wanted to come down. It’s 1:25 pm and I’m already back at my house in American Canyon, writing this review. The time waiting for the smog to complete, I was pleasantly engaged in conversation with the same gentleman who answered the phone about his wife’s highlander and how they love the model too. Before I knew it, the check was done, paid (very affordable, by the way!) and out! I will definitely be using this place from now on.
On a side note, the building does look a bit run down and out of the way, however, the customer service and hospitality are totally worth it! He’d mentioned that they will be doing some things soon to clean the place up a bit and add signage so it’s more easily seen from the street.
All in all, great experience! Thanks, A1 Smog!

Thank you Sayed for getting me in and out real quick on a Sunday. I had a hard time finding a place to get my car smogged during the weekend since Sunday’s are my only days off.
This is a good place to get your car checked. Very fast quick and easy. Good customer service.
Definitely will be returning my service to this establishment and recommend it to others for the future.

If you’re in the Vallejo area this is the place to go for your smog cert. Very professional. Very fast. Plenty of room for vehicle parking… oh and Wi-​Fi. Two thumbs up and 5 stars.

I called at 8:15 the morning of and the technician said to be there at 9am. I was done and had my certificate in my hand by 9:10! How much better can it get?! The prices are also very reasonable as well. I recommend A1 if you need to get a smog. Thank you A1 for taking care of me and my car quickly and for being so friendly!

Just back from A1. Excellent experience. If it’s substance over glitter you want, this is for you. No appointment, just drove in on my way home. The friendly technician, «Said», was smogging anther car and said he’d be with me in a few minutes. My turn next. We chatted while he smogged. I got the history of what «star certified» means! The whole thing took maybe 20 minutes. Couldn’t recommend it more. Wish more places were as down to earth as this. He accepts CC cards.

I’m a original owner of 2006 Subaru STI. I installed a CARB legal AEM cold air intake in 2007. It never failed a visual for every Smog inspection it has had. They had to call DMV in Sacramento to verify the cold air intake was Legal as the Carb sticker has it for 2004 STI. IDIOT mechanic didn’t even bother to call DMV and didn’t want to listen to me. Obviously, he’s a moron. He said we have to re-​install the original air intake for him to re-​smog it. I don’t care if everyone here gave them a five star… I’m guessing it was a different mechanic that inspected your cars. The one that did my car was a young DUMB ASS MORON that needs better customer relations schooling… I’m not a hard person to get along with… But, if he doesn’t even want to talk to you and keeps interrupting you. Something is wrong.

I am very happy with the service that I received from here. I came here on a Tuesday afternoon, with no appointment. The place looked closed, but I called and the owner answered right away and told me I could pull into the service area. He started the smog test instantly. I was in and out of the place in less than 10 minutes and the paperwork was immediately forwarded to the DMV. The owner was remarkably friendly and I recommend anyone who needs a smog test to visit this place.

I needed a smog test done ASAP so I would make it to DMV in time for my appointment. I had less than an hour till my appointment. I called A1 and was told to bring my car in. My car was taken in right when I got there. The worker was friendly and the smog test was quick. There’s chairs available to wait outside as well. I am now at DMV and made it to my appointment with 10mins to spare. OH! also, the technician works with the days of people’s schedules. Most places were about to close when I called… And it was only 4pm! I get off work at 330pm on most days so this was really convenient. If you want a quick and friendly visit with a good affordable price, A1 is the place to go.

nice, quick, and fast. took about 20 min, two people ahead of me. wayyyy better than the other one by rose’s collision, californias best smog lost their customer service skills. thought i could get the same service from two years back, and thought wrong. this one is my new favorite smog, highly recommended, esp coming from a dealership background. totally worth the wait, and patience! thanks again for all the help.

Stopped in as I found A1 on Unilocal and had good reviews. Stopped by and Siad (sorry if I’m spelling your name wrong) said he could take me right then and there and to pull the car up to the garage. I gave him all my paperwork and he hooked up the car. I was in and out in 15 minutes if ev1en that. Great fast easy and curtious service! He even mentioned he is open 7 days a week! I wish more businesses had good quick service like A1. Will be taking my next car in as I get home and see I have a smog due on that one too!
