I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed my favorite dentist yet. My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Allan since 1991 when we got married and moved to Vallejo. It’s been over 25 years and we’re still very happy and satisfied with his services to our growing family of five now.
Dr. Allan is a patient, thorough and caring dentist. He has a calm demeanor and makes sure to explain each of our family’s tooth problems well and inform us of the procedure he will use. Throughout the procedure, he makes sure to check in by gently tapping your shoulder to see how you’re doing. Our three girls grew up not fearing the dentist because of Dr. Allan and his caring team. All these years, the hygienists and staff remember our names and give us personalized care. Once in awhile, Dr. Allan is not available and we see Dr. Steve. He is just as thorough and caring with our dental care.
In the past two years, I’ve had a few emergency procedures that urgently needed to be done. Dr. Allan can be reached on the weekends if needed. He makes your dental work a priority. He makes each procedure feel like a breeze. Dr. Allan has a sense of humor too. My family update him about our lives, and we share funny family stories.
Thank you Dr. Allan. We will stay with you while you are still around.

I’ve been having a major toothache on and off for the last few months. I finally went to see Dr. Alan on a recommendation from a coworker.
I went in fearing the worst… Root canal. Well my worst fears were realized… I need one! But after talking to Dr. Alan I don’t feel worried at all! He gave my tooth a temporary fix by drilling out the filling and cleaning the inside of the tooth. He explained to me exactly what he was doing and talked me through the whole procedure. I didn’t feel a thing and I’m so pleased with my visit that I scheduled an appointment for next week to get my root canal and crown.
I feel I also need to touch on the fact that I don’t have dental insurance and I was very worried about form of payment. They assured me it would be no problem and they helped me find a solution so I can take care of my teeth!
After not seeing a dentist for 6 – 7 years, all I can say is that I wish I would have gone to see Dr. Pickett sooner.
