maybe because of the current cold snap we are more appreciative than usual. our furnace blower fan acted up last friday evening and it would not shut off after we turned the heat off. was able to have it shut off only by removing access door but then that prevented us from being able to turn on the heat. our home warranty company assigned us to best mechanical. we were not able to make contact with them until this morning and i was pleasantly surprised that they could fit us on their schedule for this afternoon. dispatch called us ahead of time letting us know the tech was coming. the tech and her assistant were very courteous and professional. she diagnosed the problem as the limit switch that needed to be reset. i did not know it could have been that simple of a solution. but she also took the time to thoroughly examine the heat exchange and the unit in general. to be honest, i tend to get concerned with home warranty companies and their lists of contractors that they assign to their customers but all i can say is that we had a very positive experience with best mechanical this afternoon. it was great to be able to put away our many portable heaters.
