We ordered the best food. Every person in our family loved their meal. The supreme burrito with shrimp was excellent. The stand out for the meal was the rice. It was flavorful and unique. Even our picky eater came to my plate to eat. Yummy!!! We’ll come here again.

We got the steak famous burrito and a chicken one also. judging by the pics off Unilocal we decided to try it since its down the street from us. The burrittos were rather dry for them to be a wet burrito and the rice inside of the burrito was half of it(no wonder why it’s so big) steak is under seasoned and found the taco truck next doors steak to be better. last time for me.

I want to start this review off by saying: Be prepared to wait! Having said that, the food here is delicious!!! I can’t stress that enough. It is authentic and delicious Mexican food that bursts with flavor! The tacos are big, flavorful, and delicious. The burritos are what they are well known for! My personal favorite however, was the menudo. In my eyes, if a Mexican restaurant doesn’t serve menudo on the weekends, it isn’t authentic. This place does and it is! It is by far the best menudo I have ever had in my life. The consistency of the broth is glossy and delicious. You can tell that the tripe has been slow cooking in the broth based on the flavor. I could live on it! Friends of mine that don’t like trip like it! I can’t recommend it enough. REGARDINGTHEBIGISSUE: THETIME, AND I WILLADDRESSITWITH A STORY. As I sat in Los Arquitos with my wife, drinking a delicious Margarita, I kept thinking to myself«I feel like I am sitting in my friends mothers house.» I was comfortable, the Margarita was amazing, and I was in no rush. There was great aromas in the air and everyone around was having a good time. When my dish finally came(Yes, it took a while) I personally don’t care and would wait again. The food was smackin’ and I again thought what I had earlier, «I feel like I’m at my friends mom’s house.» I then told my wife that«It is so good and authentic, it feels like somebody’s mother or grandmother is cooking.» When I went to pay, I asked the server if she was related to the chefs… she turned around and timidly said«yes, that’s my mom and dad.» To me, that was all I needed to hear and confirmed what I already knew. This is a mom and pop shop and I mean that in the best of ways. It’s a small shack of a restaurant and the service is slow… but the food is FUCKING delicious. These people here are cooking up authentic Mexican treats and they are sharing their lives with you. Do yourselves a favor and support a local business and hard working people. I ASSUREYOUTHATYOUWON’T BEDISAPPOINTED!

The food is actually great, but service is painfully slow. My husband picked up an order, and I swear I have never seen dine in or to go Mexican food take so long. It is definitely worth a try, especially if you want a gigantic burrito that you can eat for like three meals, but be prepared to wait. If the service were faster I am sure this would be a staple for us.

Delicious and enormous burritos! We had the super famoso burrito each. He got the green sauce, I got the red. The burritos were loaded with Carne asada, really really good rice, real sour cream, grilled onions, beans, and a little cilantro. The red sauce was amazing! Full of flavor, really it tasted homemade. The green sauce was awesome, spicy, but not overly spicy, fresh tasting, and great flavor. Grabbed some horchata’s too which were perfect with the burritos. We just moved to vallejo and have tried Mexican restaurants closer to us, but we’ll travel a little bit further to go here. We’ll definitely be back!

This is a great place to get some Mexican food. The place is older and looks like it needed a face lift years ago but the food more than makes up for this. Some complain about how long it takes to get a meal out of the kitchen but there is a reason why. The last time I went I ordered Biria. After a while I looked over the counter into the kitchen. The man was cooking the and the woman was making fresh tortillas for my order. Fresh is always better than premade and reheated as far as I am concerned.

I love this joint! I’ve been here 5 times now and the food is tasty, fresh and amazingly consistent. The last order I had was the Carne Asada Taco Dinner plate. It comes with 2 decent size Tacos with plenty of rice and beans that come up to $ 10 and change. Make sure you tell them you want everything on the tacos so you get the slices of avocados on top. Oh and have them put extra cilantro while you’re at it. Definitely recommend this place.

We went out of our way to stop at Los Arquitos for lunch. In a nutshell: fresh and certainly authentic, but painstakingly slow. For the number of people working in the kitchen, I was amazed how long it took for our order of one small chicken soup, one steak taco, and one chicken enchilada to come out. The soup was unmemorable — oily, and the size of both the chicken and vegetable were incomprehensible. The enchilada and taco were tasty, though.

Place is not the cleanest. what really had me dissatisfied was our waitress not a people person. Not friendly at all No smile my son and I kept saying please and thank you she would just walk away. There was a gentleman eating here when he left he said by she did not answer pretty rude of her… one of the ladies in the kitchen told her to say thank you to the customers. in a sarcastic tone she reply to the lady by saying oh yeah please, thank you, whatever she said. She only came over to ask if all was ok after she heard me saying I Unilocal everyone. food was just ok out of 3 tacos I only ate 2 and my son knows I love tacos, he said his super super burrito was nasty this time around…

Finding Los Arquitos in Vallejo was a complete ACCIDENT… and it was my salvation. While driving back to San Francisco from a day trip, I started getting a headache because we hadn’t eaten all afternoon. We exited at Vallejo, but didn’t have any idea of what might be around us, and we saw a restaurant in one of the side streets we turned into – Los Arquitos! We decided to take a chance and walk in, but not without quickly checking Unilocal on our smartphones, which revealed that this was a Mexican restaurant that received many great reviews. It became clear that the«must not miss» dish was the Super Famoso Burrito. The Super Famoso Burrito is a wet burrito that comes with either a red or green sauce(or you can ask for both), and was described as so big that there was no way anyone could finish it in one meal. I took this as a personal challenge, especially since I hadn’t eaten all day. We ordered one of shrimp, and one of pork, both topped with a combination of green and red sauce. We asked our waitress if the Super Famoso burritos were really as good as everyone said they were – she gave us this glance with a silent, confident nod. And she was absolutely right. Despite the great online reviews of the food, the décor was sorely lacking – red vinyl chairs and booths, some in disrepair, and the pictures of the food were not styled, so they looked pretty unappetizing. It took firm resolve, and a really bad headache, to remain seated rather than bolting out through the doors. What arrived surpassed our expectations. Heed the warnings. These are large plates. What arrived was an astonishing portion that took up an entire large platter – repeat, PLATTER, not plate – EACH. The shrimp were beautifully tender, succulent, and abundant, and the pork was in large, soft, juicy chunks. The red sauce was a deep, rich and velvety smoothness with a gentle, spicy bite that was contrasted by the pungent brightness of the green sauce; having both sauces kept our tastebuds on full alert. Though neither of us could finish our plates, we each had half a burrito for another BIG meal, which heated up beautifully the next day! The shrimp burrito, which was the more expensive, was only $ 12. I wanted to keep this restaurant a secret so that I could selfishly enjoy this taste sensation without having to battle crowds, but my conscience simply won’t let me keep quiet. Knowing that people in the Bay Area seem unaware of Los Arquitos hurts my soul.

Totally worth a sidetrack from the airport to Napa. The food is definitely better than any Mexican I’ve had in Florida. My husband had the red enchiladas. I had the corn tamales. So very authentic and delicious. The atmosphere is definitely divey but who cares. We came for the food.

The best Mexican food anywhere around here. The things they have that are outstanding are chicken mole, fajitas, and all their soups. Everything is good but those are amazing.

Yes, this is a bomb-ass Mexican restaurant. It’s a small, hole-in-the wall place located next to a gas station, but the food is fantastic — in both quantity and quality. Don’t let the exterior fool you. There’s not a lot of quality restaurants in Vallejo and Solano county in general, so props must be given to the good ones that have survived and lived to serve another day. One time I had the chicken soup, which was rich, authentic, and very tasty. The last time I was there, I had the carnitas burrito and it didn’t disappoint. This burrito was HUGE — definitely enough for two people(or 4 kids). I had to cut it into 2 pieces to eat it. The savory carnitas highlighted the dish, and the rice was cooked to perfection. If you’re hungry as hell and want a lot of quality food, this is the place to visit.

Yes! A bomb ass Mexican restaurant. Not to sound crude, but that is the way to describe this place. We were a bit iffy when we drove up and saw this place empty. then a bit more at the $ 2.50 tacos. But were we proved wrong! Tacos Are Large With avacado! My boyfriend never orders enchiladas from restaurants, but I convinced him to take a risk. He says it was one of the best enchiladas he’s had! Not to mention we were crazy about the pastor and salsa. We avoided the plates and went all a la carte. Seems To be the better option than the plates Which charge $ 5 for rice and beans.

So, the hubbs and I were cravin some Mexican food… the GOOD authentic stuff. And, quite frankly, the spots in or town have gone to the crapper(IMO). I decided to turn to Unilocal to check out some spots in towns nearby and stumbled upon this joint. Not gonna lie, when we pulled up, I was second guessing out decision to satisfy our craving at this place. Parking was scarce, but we ended up parking at the auto parts place next door(still sitting at booth as I type this PRAYING we didn’t get tow’d)… Yep, cars still there! The waitress brought us some chips and salsa, and yes, it was good. We both ordered horchata to drink(large was $ 4.00 — very pricey IMO with no refills — and was I think a 20oz cup) and it was quite delicious. To eat, I ordered the soft tacos dinner(steak) and Hubbs ordered the mix fajitas. We were both pleased with our meals. I will say that my steak had some non-edible chunks, but I just put those aside(harder pieces — maybe tendons??). However, I would def order again! The table next to us ordered the Super Famoso burrito and holy CRUD that thing was big!!! Looked yummy too! We both left fat and happy with a tad remaining to take home to grandma the baby sitter. If you’re looking for true AUTHENTIC Mexican food, this place is def. worth it!

Wow. Amazing. Totally mind-blowing. My partner got a pastor SUPER burrito and it was… remarkably delicious. I got the New Mexico enchilada with chicken and omg it was good. I’m sad it’s deep in Vallejo, but I’m going to try and come back.
