Sigi the server was perfect. Included in the bill was a «Suggested 17% gratuity»…yes, included on a check for 1 person.(8+ people it is understood it would be automatically added) The food was very fresh and tasty. The $ 12 glass of Riesling was from a recorked bottle so a little dull. I will go back and have my own bottle and skip adding an additional 18% tip.

I am honestly very dissapointed in coming here tonight. We came in and were sat at a table. A few minutes later a booth became open behind us. Mind you it is not busy at all. We asked our server if we could move over and he told us okay. He didn’t help us move anything over, which is fine i suppose, I guess I’m just used to another level of service, being a server and all. As we settled into our booth the manager came over and gave a weird look and said«Did you just move over?» He didn’t wait for us to answer and continued, «Next time, you need to let someone know before you do that.»…Are you kidding me… I told him that we already let our server know and he just walked away without even apologizing. I honestly cannot express how upset this made me for the manager to assume, make my friends feel uncomfortable or like they did something wrong and then just walk away without saying sorry. Are you kidding me? I told our server that that was not cool at all and he needs to let him know that it’s not okay to scold grown adults and not apologize for his mistake. The server just kind of laughed nervously and walked away. If my manager in my restaurant did this to one of my tables I would apologize and make sure my manager went back and apologized for being a dick! That left such a bad taste in my mouth and I’d like to say that’s why i didnt like the food but no, the food was just bad. My friends rice was completely undercooked and actually hard. When he told our server his response was«it’s brown rice, it’s supposed to be hard.» Lol. How can you argue with stupid?! The chicken was also completely pink in the middle! Needless to say, none of us will go back.

Been here many times before and enjoyed their food options. If the buffet line is long and you’re super hungry, then this is the place for you… Request a table with a view! Whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner you’re craving they’ve got it. I’ll mention the food definitely tastes better when it’s free lol. One of my favorites is their steak and eggs which is huge and very filling. They also serve Chinese Food which is another great option if you’re over the meat and potatoes. The service is excellent and the prices are reasonable in case you don’t have comps to apply to your meal. If you don’t want to sit and are staying at the hotel you can order to go as well. If you’re not ready for a big meal but want dessert– they’ve got it too. Remember to tip well.

Very good. Everything we had was fresh & tasty. We had 3 different meals here. The Asian dishes are superb. As hotel guest our breakfast was complimentary and the portions were generous.

I noticed that customers give Samuel a hug, and it’s genuine. They like him. He was also our server. He’s super friendly. He always refill our coffee. I hope on our next stay he will also be the one to serve us at BLD’s Café. He’s very attentive and repectlful. If you want a freshly brewd coffee, no problem, he will bring it to you. Keep it up Samuel. You are well loved by your customers. Our breakfast was good. i love the pastries which Samuel gave to us. Very fresh and crispy. Our omelette was good too. It comes with hash brown and your choice of bread. And our breakfast was free for staying at the hotel. I strongly recommend this place. And I will definitely coming back.

Last time I came here was back in 2012, and fortunately for us we had a dining credit to use. Did not find the service memorable back in 2012, so I hoped that this visit would improve. This particular visit, we stayed as guests at the hotel and was given a complementary breakfast here at BLD. In the past it looked like the breakfast used to be a buffet. Things may have changed from prior reviews as we were given a menu with a medley of items to choose from challah French toast, carrot cake pancakes, all American breakfast with eggs, hashbrowns and choices of meat, to build your own omelette. A variety of beverages from coffee, tea, to juice was also included. Service has not improved since our last visit. There was a mixup with our waitress and bus boy as we were helped by both people in obtaining coffee, silverware, and side bread plates. Our waitress seemed a bit flustered and try to do too many things at once. We were given complementary muffins, and she only bought three muffins when we have four in our party. When she realized her error, she came back with another muffin and then two danishes. I wanted to know what kind of muffins she gave us, and she did not know. She told me they were«Brown muffins». At first I thought she was joking, and she literally said the muffins are brown. Then, we still needed placesettings and the bus boy was going to give us a full set, when our waitress went to the adjacent table and stole the placesettings from that table. She forgot to give us our bread plate, so the bus boy went back to get some plates, and the waitress went to another table to steal more plates. Despite the lack of communication with our waitstaff, service was not that bad. Our waitress took our drink order, and then our entrée order. I figured they gave us the muffins and danish to kill time while we wait for food. It actually came out quicker than we anticipated. My omelette was very good, but the hashbrowns were lukewarm, and a bit undercooked. I ordered an English muffin and it was toasted a little on the light side, with no butter. It did not come to the table piping hot, so when I added the butter, it did not melt right away. It’s a good size breakfast, and I’m glad we did not have to pay for it. We were not given a receipt, so we did leave behind $ 5.00 gratuity. The portions are very generous, but the food, it’s just okay. Unless you’re not into the buffet, I would much rather go next-door and try a multiple selection of food then guess what is the best item at the coffee shop.

We came to VVC buffet at 5:00 to celebrate mother’s but line was closed and possibly not reopen so we went to BLDs. Looked good no wait ok sure. 3 of us ordered ribeye and 2 of us ordered pad Thai. Took 45 mins to get our food. All the steaks were dry even though we ordered medium. The pad Thai was spicy and the menu didn’t note that. Ordered everything with no onions and the soup was top/garnished with onions. I was Missing the cauliflower. Not one of us, five in all were happy with our food. Next time we will wait for the buffet regardless of the wait. Don’t waste your time or money on this place.

Working here all week so ate here twice. Once the takeout section. Service was awful the girls disorganized and not friendly like the rest of the staff here. The Empire Fried Rice was bland at best. Day 2 I ate in the restaurant, service was fantastic. But the Thai Salad was just gross and the ingredients not fresh. But the fresh warm buns were great.

Today was my wifes’s Birthday so I decided to surprise her by taking her to one of her favorite places to eat BLD’s Café Located in Valley View Casino and Resort. The place wasn’t so busy at all since it was only Tuesday and was seated right away. We were greeted with a nice smile by our server and was offered drinks or any appetizer while we decided what to have. She had served us our drinks and also came back with some warm fresh Bread and Garlic Butter. By that time we were ready to order and decided to go with Chinese. She had ordered the Pepper Steak and I ordered the Honey Walnut Shrimp. Our server was kind and she told us she will come back with our order and actually we didn’t wait too long. Our order came within 10 min and everything was perfect and we were impressed with the portion they served as well as the freshness of the food. Our waitress came to check on us to ask how everything was and we told her that the food was delicious and I had mentioned that it was someones birthday and by the end of our meal our gracious server surprised my wife with a Chocolate Cake that we both shared. Over all, I would rate both the Quality of the Food and the Supreme Service 5 stars and will come back soon.

I’ve been here about 4x since I wrote my first review, and my experiences has been way better. They have some complimentary muffins/danishes baked fresh if you get there for breakfast, which tastes so good!!! Let me just say, their honey walnut shrimp even tops the ones at the Chinese restaurants(even better than Panda Inn’s!). It’s always a must when we go there. Their clam chowder is DELISH! The food is pretty consistent, it always tastes great when we go. The servers are nice and efficient. The only thing I noticed, which is why it didn’t receive a 5-star rating from me, is that the servers take pretty long to pick up your check. It happened EVERYSINGLETIME. They give us the check, and each time, it took at least 15 – 20 minutes for them to pick it up! I don’t understand why. I guess you just have to be pushy and totally flag them down. Haha. Still, it’s a place I will definitely keep coming back to… especially when I want to avoid the line at the buffet.

My husband and I came to Valley View Casino for a few days and we are having so much fun! We have eaten at the café twice. Our waiter, Sam is top notch! We so much enjoyed talking to him and his customer service is the BEST! As well as everyone else we encountered! The food was fabulous, atmosphere great, service wonderful! Free breakfast for hotel guests is out of this world! No «continental» breakfast here! Really great choices. I had an omelet and it was delish! THANKYOUSAM for being so wonderful and thank you management for paying such close attention to detail. The silverware are beautiful, the drinking glasses are stylish and fun. The food presentation reminds me of the Four Seasons! We will return time & again.

Please note that this review is for the«ASIANFAVORITES» menu. As you can see I just put in 1 star. My sister & I ordered the Fried Rice, Beef Lo Mein, and the Beef & Broccolli. Fried Rice was Ok. Not that great not that bad. Its edible. The Lo Mein wasn’t that great. It’s less pleasing as the Fried Rice. The Beef & Broccolli, it was awful There was something funky smelling and taste with that particular entrée. Although there’s lots of meat, the flank steak was sooo tough that you could almost choke with chewing them. We tried to bring it home because we felt bad to put it to waste but then the smell was sooooo overpowering that we had no choice but to throw it away… sadness. I hate throwing away food. My sister & I agree that it would’ve been better if we just ate salmon or something.

Every time I come to BLD’s, I try to order something different as I want to try everything on their menu. Customer Service: 5 Food Quality: 4 I ordered the Ribeye Steak topped with Crispy Onions and adorned with Scalloped Potatoes and Grilled Cauliflower and Broccoli along with the Dinner Salad. My mom ordered the Prime Rib with the Mashed Potatoes and Grilled Asparagus. The dinner salad is always fabulous with their bread basket, but unfortunately I load up on these items, so I had refrain myself this time from finishing the salad to create extra space for my dinner. Our server and servers assistant were very attentive and refilled my drink without asking me if I wanted it refilled. Overall they were both very nice and hospitable. Then he brought out our dinner, which looked fabulous! I loved the flavor of my Ribeye as it was perfectly seasoned, but wish that the piece of steak wasn’t so fatty. However that’s where all the flavor comes from! My scalloped potatoes were perfectly cooked and loved the vegetables! I wish there were more of those because they were grilled enough to where there was still a crunchy, but not raw. I tried some Prime Rib as well and was very good, but lacked some flavor. However I liked the fact that it was a big piece of lean meat and not overdone. Honestly I will not go back to the Buffet because for me it’s always quality over quantity. Plus who would want to wait for 2 hours for dinner? Not me! I’m always coming here!

I went here with my boyfriend since the buffet line was ridiculously long and we were hungry. The view through the windows was magnificent and the place was pretty spacious; however the seats needed a good wipe down. There were crumbs all over the seat which I found to be gross. We got seated after about 20 minutes of waiting(not bad), but it took the waiter another 20 minutes just to come and take our order even though the place was practically empty. By then I have already filled on bread and water and was hesitant to even order food. The menu selection was that of a typical café – soup, salads, sandwiches, etc. There was nothing too special. boyfriend and i ordered the prime rib dip. We were both very disappointed. The sandwich was dry and very bland. There was no taste to the au jus. I ordered a side of horseradish sauce hoping that it would add a little flavor but that tasted like lumpy mayo. My chips were also overly seasoned, to the point that it was inedible. Sadly, my boyfriend and I agreed that the the best part of our dish was the pickle. I think next time we will just try to suck it up and wait for the buffet.

Full disclosure — I never actually pay to eat here, it’s usually comped. That being said, I wouldn’t mind paying if I had to. It’s a little pricey but that’s normal for a hotel restaurant. The food is what you would expect at a café. It’s fairly tasty, good portions, and the servers are pretty competent. The prime rib dip is excellent. The Asian food is fairly bland compared to authentic Asian restaurants, but again, it’s standard American café food. Try not to go when the casino is packed though. The service becomes super slow and lines can be long. A couple good things I should mention. If they are doing drawings for prizes, they play the announcements in the restaurant so you won’t miss anything. Also, try the raspberry cinnamon cake thingie with vanilla ice cream for desert. YUMMY

BLD’s was our choice for an early AM hot breakfast at Valley View. As a matter of fact, it was our only choice for a full breakfast. As we were seated my wife noticed how the morning natural light from the large bay windows really lit up the café brightly. I noticed the gorgeous polished maple table, very impressive! Stylish pleasant atmosphere. The rich flavorful coffee served is a wonderful roasted Columbian, a good indication that breakfast would be appetizing. My wife ordered the All American breakfast($ 8.99), two each of pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs and a chessy potato casserole. I had a good sized bowl of Steel Cut Irish oatmeal($ 5.99). Why it’s call steel cut(ouch!) and Irish, I don’t know. It tasted as good as my mom made when I was a kid. Our breakfast was simple, hearty and satisfying. BLD’s serves lunch and dinner favorites from gourmet sandwiches to T– bone steak. As well as homemade desserts like six layer chocolate cake and banana cream pie. Next breakfast here I’ll have the cinnamon french toast with a cup of coffee!

BLD stands for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. It is Valley View’s coffee shop. But here is the thing that annoys me about it. It only serves breakfast at breakfast. They should rename it LD and B sometimes. Getting past that annoyance, the selection are good and the food is above average. They added a 17% gratuity automatically for our party which I think is wrong. There are really not many eating choices at this casino, so for most folks it’s either the low quality buffet or here. I always come here, even if I cannot get breakfast.
