Very disappointed in our last visit to the Oyster Bar. Love love love this place and we come often but it’s changed if you are a regular. No more Combo Roast — what?!? Replaced with a Cioppino — not nearly as good! Seafood is still great — no crab but all the rest is the same — broth is not as good though! No rice included either — had to order that separately. Both couples on each side of us agreed — we all missed the combo roast. Another new item is a Lobster type of linguini but its basically a big bowl of noodles with a lobster on top. Lobster was perfect but who needs all those noodles — and the menu does not mention that it comes with noodles either. So — food is still good and seafood is still fresh but its not the same and not better. We saw everything come out from the back premeasured and no one tested the taste per item like they used to. I would also like to point out that we waited at least 20 minutes before even being able to order a beer — then at least another 15 minutes to get it. I just wanted to walk to the bar and order my own! Also ordered oysters, a sushi roll and cioppinos — there were 3 of us. We received the sushi roll and started to eat it but before we could finish — the oysters and the cioppino all came out at the same time! I couldn’t believe it. Wanted to enjoy the appetizers before looking forward to the cioppino. We made a mention of it but no one cared at all. Not sure I’ll be back for a long time. We drive a long way for our favorite one-of-a-kind out-of-this-world combo roast but its not going to be worth the drive anymore — unless they bring back the combo roast!

Customer service tip to whoever manages the oyster bar: clarify with your staff who is the designated server. A girl took our order and brought our water but after that, never came back.(Saturday night at 10:009⁄26). The chef served us but we needed plates, butter etc and the server was nowhere to be found and we had to flag down somebody and the chef was the only one that was nearby to serve us. What happened to «is there anything else I can get for you or how’s everything?» No complaints about the food, it was great and what you’d expect for the price, but the service, hmmmmmm. Tried it again, this time on a weekday night. Obviously the girl that took our order did not change her style of customer service.. A friendly smile doesn’t hurt, does it? Lack of enthusiasm makes for a poor experience. Again, we never got our waters filled and never asked if everything was fine. Food was good, but it should be for the price but the service is entirely lacking. Tip: maybe management should sit and observe the service.

my wife thought this was the greatest place on earth(and i don’t mean a circus) We sat at the bar, fast service, watching them cook and prepare the foods was awesome. Very clean, very non-contaminating as they constantly washing all. Great selection, fairly priced and i would highly suggest to anyone

The best seafood I’ve had in a very long time. I didnt realize that the Oyster Bar is actually inside of the steakhouse until we got there. It wasnt what I was expecting but I adapted. The setup is pretty cool. Its like a sushi bar where everything is laid out and prepared right in front of you. Service was very slow at first. I was worried because I read about that being an issue in some reviews. I was going to give it a four star because of this, but things did get better. The chef actually apologized towards the end of our meal as well. We came in about 15 minutes after they opened. We were lucky that there was plenty of seats open at bar at this time. About 15 minutes later it started getting packed. So packed that people were told it would be 45 minutes to an hour for a seat. The food! Delicious! I had the gambas. It’s a bunch of shrimp served in a garlic sauce with rice and bread that soaked up the sauce. It was so rich and savory. Probably too rich for some, but not me. The shrimp was huge and there was enough to share. My husband got the combo roast which was also large enough to share and he devoured it. This is for sure our go-to place when in this area now.

We wanted to eat dinner at one of the restaurants at Harrah’s before we attended a concert at the event center, and the Oyster Bar received the highest ratings. We really like seafood and so we were pumped for some sushi and oysters. As you exit the parking structure, the restaurants are to the left as you enter the casino. First off, it’s awful that the only way out of the parking garage is through the smoking area of the casino. In my opinion, the whole place should be non-smoking. They should contain anyone who chooses to smoke in a vacuum sealed fish bowl room, or make them smoke inside of an astronaut suit. That way, the smoke is contained solely around them so it can soak into their hair and skin, instead of everyone else’s. There’s no reason for other people to endure that, especially on our way to dinner. We literally jogged, basically holding our breath, eyes stinging, to find the restaurant. It was a little confusing finding the entrance to Oyster Bar. The sign hangs on the wall between Fortune’s Asian Restaurant and Fiore Steak and Seafood, but there’s no door to Oyster Bar. It took a few seconds to realize that it’s inside Fiore. As we entered, my first impression was that the hostess was very nonchalant for an upscale restaurant like Oyster Bar and Fiore. She was very casually leaning on the counter and said that we could sit anywhere, and went on talking to her coworker. Inside Oyster Bar/Fiore, you could still smell the cigarette and cigar smoke. Throughout the night as we ate, every time the door would open, we smelled the smoke. We sat at the bar and a waiter/cook asked if we would like water. We said yes and he brought two glasses over and a basket of bread. This was the last drink that we were offered, and the water wasn’t refilled the rest of the time we were there. We looked over the menu. Pretty pricey but it was what we were expecting. $ 17 for oysters. I figured it must be a dozen. We picked out a few things and waited for our waiter to come over. We waited and waited. Two chefs were working on prepping seafood with their back turned in front of us, so I figured they weren’t our waiters. Finally the water/bread waiter ran by and I flagged him down. I said, «I have a question, what is your ceviche of the day?». He said, «Yes», and continued by. I said, «No, I just want to know what it is», and he looked back and continued into the kitchen. One of the chefs turned around so I asked her the same question, and I finally got an answer in very broken English. Talapia and shrimp, then she turned around and went back to whatever she was doing before we had a chance to order anything. After a few minutes, I said«excuse me» politely to her to ask if we could order and she came over. I asked how many oysters came in an order and she said 6. I asked what kind they were and where they were from, and she stared at me blankly. I said, «it doesn’t matter, we’ll take those.» We also ordered the Marinada and a bowl of the New England clam chowder. About 5 minutes later the Ceviche of the Day came out. But hold on… We didn’t order that! «I just wanted to know what was in it», I said. She stared at me blankly but after a few seconds she finally figured out what I was saying and took it away. I felt bad because I hate wasting food, but I didn’t order it. I thought it was just me, but about 10 minutes later she brought a sushi roll to the people next to us and they said, «What’s this? We didn’t order this.» so I think she was just having a tough time understanding many of the customers. The food came out quickly. The Marinada was pretty good. Basically chopped raw shrimp and scallops mixed with nothing-special cocktail sauce on a torta with some arugula. The tortas were really hard and tough though. It was hard to break off a piece, and so I had to use my back teeth to break them. The oysters had some shell in them, but we were happy to see the chef throw a few back that were dead and shriveled inside instead of serving them to us. The clam chowder was bland and needed salt and pepper. The people next to us ordered a sushi roll and it looked simple and pretty weak. After our food came out no one came back over until we flagged someone down for the check. I waited for my ice to melt several times so that I could get another small sip of water. Several couples came in after us and they were there for at least 15 minutes with no water, no bread, and no drinks. They all had the same confused look as they watched the chefs(?) waiters(?) walk back and forth, in and out of the back room, without engaging the customers. I didn’t get the feeling that there was a designated server for the patrons at the bar. I was never really sure if we had a waiter to begin with.

$ 30 Bouillabaise $ 8 Ganache Cake w/Hazelnut Ice Cream $ 10 Fuji Apple Sake $ 0 Hot Tea(Cup & Pot of Hot Water with Hotel Box selection of tea packets) Ate for two with leftovers, so enough for a third sharer. Think Ritter’s Kettle Steam cooking. I didn’t like Ritter’s at all, but Oyster Bar(inside of Fiore) was amaaazing. The Bouillabaise came with snow crab legs, jumbo shrimp, scallops, mussels, clams, and chunky fish fillet. It’s a lighter version of the creamy tomato soup. The ganache cake was normal and passable. The sake was light as expected of a fruit sake. Neither was particularly memorable. DECOR ====== Think dark chestnut wood with shiny laminate finish and black with glitter. It’s pretty and tasteful without being unique or overwhelming. SERVICE ====== A little harder for the staff to be attentive as they’re working a long bar, and they also have to walk around to behind the patrons as a good 70% of the seats have the steam kettles installed in front. Nice and friendly though. EXTRA ====== — Complimentary crusty bread & parmesan pepper crisps

5 stars!!! Just fantastic! I have eaten at the Fiore Steakhouse and I prefer the oyster bar. We started with the clam chowder which was very good, tons of clams with a hint of sherry. Second, we split the Seared Ahi Salad. The portion was huge and Ahi was tender and delicious. For our main,(we really did not need it) we had the Combo Roast. It was a combination of clam, scallops, mussels, shrimp, crab meat and tilapia in a rich tomato broth. We split all three items and there was to much to finish. Out of this world! We were so full. The service was great! Our server/chef, Juan, was excellent and attentive. I can hardly wait to return!

OMG — really surprised about the stellar ratings. First of all this place is pricy for the food quality and lack of proper service skills but we were short on time and going to a concert so we offered up as Harrah’s hostages. We love to dine at the bar but unfortunately the view at this bar is an appetite killer — pots of boiling pasta oozing over and floating brackish pasta water. I actually took pictures to post but decided they were too gross to share. My hubby ordered his usual and customary craft beer which they only have in a bottle — acceptable until they served it in the bottle. We asked for a chilled glass and got a glass sans the chill. Next we ordered lobster bisque and it was decent but had to be the first and only time I have ever been served lobster bisque without the offer of fresh cracked pepper. The Hawaiian roll was ok good(guessing the pineapple chutney on the side made it Hawaiian) and we closed with $ 23.00 or $ 25.00 shrimp and scallop tostadas which were palatable but the sauce did get overwhelmingly tangy after a couple of bites. All in all I would say eat leftovers before heading out and spend the money on alcohol at the concert.

Delicious. The staff was very nice which made the meal even more enjoyable. I ordered the combo pan roast and Belgium waffle for dessert. I’d recommend to others who love seafood. Prices are not too bad considering the quality of seafood you get and portion size.

OMG. This place rocks! It’s so good that I would consider driving 1.5hrs into the boonies just go come eat here! MUSTORDER: 1) Blue martini $ 18: blue crab cocktail with avocado and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes threw me off but it actually really accented the crab! It was citrusy. This is one of the best crab cocktails I have ever ordered. It’s even better than the one at Mastro’s Ocean club!(and that one is hard to beat with it’s wonderful dry ice presentation!). 2) Seafood Sampler $ 35: this dish came with seared ahi(ahmayzing!), 3 oysters, 3 clams, snow crab legs, 2 humongous prawns, and ceviche. This was a great bargain for such a variety of seafood! Much better bang for your buck than any seafood tower you would get anywhere. 3) Pan Roast $ 20: My sister ordered this dish and OMG it has the taste of seafood that you crave! It’s huge so you must share this with someone OR take the rest home for leftovers. It was STILLSOYUMMY when I ate this from the fridge cold the next morning. Don’t order: 1) Gambas $ 28: I’ve had a much better version of this at JackShrimp in Orange County. The only good part of this dish was the humungous prawns that came with it. The sauce was pure oil(though very flavorful), it just seemed too rich to dip your bread in it(which is what you need to do with this dish!). The 2 slices of bread that came in this dish was SOAKED in this oil and it was waaaayy tooo salty since it soaked up all the spices. I would def pass on this dish. Only bar seating is available so if you have a big group, I would recommend coming at 5:30pm when it opens OR splitting up into pairs.

**Reducing the review by one star because both times we went we got sick to our stomachs on the way home. Wrote it off as a fluke the first time but after the second visit it just couldn’t be a coincidence.** I was looking for oysters and this popped up on Unilocal.I got a little excited since I have been craving Pan Roast since October when we were at the oyster bar in Palace Station and I was hoping this would be a close copy. Drove up to the casino with the bestie since she’s always down for oysters. My GPS sent me the worst possible way to get here and I kept muttering to myself that the oysters better be amazing. We arrived at the casino and walked around a bit. Checked out the pool and decided we needed to come back just for that. Found the oyster bar and we were very happy to see that it was separated from the casino with doors. It makes the meal much more enjoyable if you aren’t sucking in cigarette smoke. We ordered the chilled sampler and the combo pan roast to share. Portions were very big and it was more than enough food. The oysters were Ok, not great. I found the clam and the crab legs to be way too salty but my friend thought they were fine. I really enjoyed the seared ahi and the giant shrimp and we both liked the ceviche. The pan roast was good. Not great but good. It seemed a little bland and didn’t have much spice to it. I had to throw in a lot of Tabasco to give it some flavor. The seafood in the soup was tasty, the scallops and shrimp were much tastier than the crab though. The biggest regret was not getting the rice on the side. The food was worth a solid 3 ½ stars and since we can’t give half stars I will up it to four stars because we were very happy with the service.

Good ‘ol oyster bar! I really love seafood & places like the oyster bar. I’ve been to two other steam kettle cooking seafood places & I just love it. I didn’t try the oysters here but I’m sure they are delicious. The seafood here is beyond fresh. How do I know? 1. The combo roast had crabs, clams, mussels, scallops, shrimp and white fish. All very delicious & fresh!!! 2. I am sometimes allergic to shrimp. Why sometimes you say? Shrimp that is not fresh are preserved with sulfites to last longer. Dianna is severely allergic to sulfa. So I break out in hives if I eat shrimp that is NOT fresh. What happened after eating all these delicious shrimps here at oyster bar?!? Nothing. No hives! Whoo hooo! What does that tell you? Fressssshh. The tomatoey broth base was very good not filled with spice like Ritter’s Steam Cooking. & not as flavorful like The oyster bar in Palace station in Vegas(my ultimate favorite place to get pan roast). Although each place has it’s own good thing.(: I asked the lady what kinda of shrimp they used but she didn’t know because they get different ones every morning! It was the largest most juiciest shrimp I’ve had so far! Soooooo good. Can you tell I’m a shrimp lover? I risk breaking out in hives for it. No worries, I always have a Benadryl in my wallet. lol. Verdict: fresh seafoodddddd. Price is right for the quality & amount of food you get. Combo roast was big enough to split for 2. We were both STUFFED. Splitting it still felt like a huge normal portion, in my opinion it was a bargain. The people next to us has all sorts of seafood. Drool. Until next time oyster bar!

The best thing here are the fresh shucked oysters. They have a pretty good variety that is fresh and to my tasting. I like the smaller oysters and when I was there, they had just that: shigoku oysters. I also ordered the house pan roast, but did not like it at all. It tastes like seafood in BBQ sauce. The sauce was sweet and didn’t taste like pan roast. I couldn’t finish it, and just thought about the oysters. The service was really good. I would definitely come back for the oysters and the fast service.

Referring to my first and only visit. Located in Harrah’s Rincon; this place is great! I went with a friend and her parents and we chose the bar seating which was perfect. The waiter, bartender, and chefs were awesome. They have patience and clear understanding of what first timers like us would like to know about their dishes and drinks that are had to offer. I had their caesar salad«for one», although it can feed two. I’d rate it a 4 out of 5, it’s made of chopped romaine hearts, parmesan slices, avocado, and caesar dressing. I also had their spicy lobster rolls which the sushi chef prepared so beautifully and it was very delicious. To drink I had their 2011 Muscat Canelli wine, it’s semi-sweet and went very well with my sushi.

On your MUSTTRY list when visiting … Crispy flatbread: parmesan or sesame seed kind. Make sure you make this request as this is a special item. Ahi Tuna salad: wasabi dressing, sweet ginger, boiled edamame, huge chunks of tuna. Big enough to share, and so you should to make room for the … Lobster Bisque: don’t share. You really want the whole bowl to yourself. REALLY. After this, everything else is a bonus. The Boullabaise, Gumbo or Mussels in White Wine are great choices. Did I mention oysters? On the shell or Rockefeller, you can’t go wrong. Decking half a star because the cooks leave the water running even while not cooking. Now that really bugs me. I sure hope Harrahs recycles water!

I get weary of restaurants inside Hotel/Casinos but this one is definitely a pleasant surprise. I had the house pan roast and I have to say that it was great. The flavor wasn’t overpowering but definitely worth every dollar. I thought the price seemed a little high at $ 24 but with half the Pacific Ocean in your massive bowl, it was just right. I would definitely go back if I was around the area. The chefs were also friendly and knowledgeable.
