I called about a problem and all they wanted to do was sell me a new opener, and upsell me at that. I found another company at a greatly reduced cost. The new company was more truthful and reasonable.

I like the door. The price was fair. In the end I am very satisfied with what I have. The initial install was not perfect but they did fix the issue. Ask for installation by Dieter.

We used their website to place a service call and received a call from them within a few minutes to setup an appointment for the next morning. Technician arrived after calling to confirm appointment, diagnosed problem quickly and offered us some options on the repair and parts w/o any pressure. Repair was completed within a few hours and even made an adjustment to help prevent problems in the future. Assuming that there will not be any problems now, but regardless parts are under warranty to boot. Great job everyone. :)

My garage door was not opening and closing properly. I called precision garage door after hearing their ad on 92.3 Wil one weekend. I made an appointment for a couple days later even though they had appointments available that same day even on weekends. Before my appointment the service technician, Peter, called to ask me about my situation so that he could get a handle on what was going on with my garage door. After we talked for a few minutes he determined that he did want me to waste the $ 69.00 appointment fee if the door was not acting up all the time. He gave me some great tips on what to check for without charging me a fee and told me to try that first and if it starts acting up again give them a call back and they would be happy to come out to see what was going on. I thought it was wonderful that he just didn’t want to waste my money and that he gave me some tips and little things I could check before he came out and I was charged the $ 69.00 for the service call fee. Sure enough I did the things Peter said and for like a week the garage door was working properly. Then a week later it started messing up again that’s when I called Precision Garage Door again this time to schedule an appointment because by this time I had given up I really wanted to know what was wrong with my door. 2 days later Peter came back out and inspected the door and offered to fix my 30-year old wood door with all new parts but when I asked him for his honest opinion he said that even if he replaced all the parts he couldn’t guarantee the door would work forever or even 6 months. When it cam down to it the price between replacing all the parts or the door in general was a couple hundred dollars so I had him setup an appointment replace the whole door and with the whole door came all the parts. A week later Precision Door called me to setup my installation appointment and then a week after that my door was installed. The best thing was the guy who sold me the door was the same guy who installed it I love the congruency. I wasn’t past from salesman to installer which is a great feeling. I have nothing but NICE things to say about precision garage door and I would recommend them to anyone.

I called Precision Garage Door initially for repair of my garage door which was not opening and closing smoothly. I was told that the repairs to fix this would be around 600 dollars, and that maybe it was a better option to replace with new doors at approximately 1200 dollars. I should have researched more, but would have been stuck paying 79 dollars for them to come out and not do anything. I finally decided to order the new doors since mine were pretty old. Everything so far not too bad, but I do question the cost of the repairs as it did seem pretty high just to get my system running better, and I was sort of being pushed toward the new doors which I was told would be a much better system and that I shouldn’t have any problems. The problems started the minute the installer arrived with the new doors. The first thing he did was pull me aside to show me how the rollers which come with the new door are poor in quality as compared to these other ones he had with him which would cost me 200 additional dollars over the 1200 dollars I was already spending. The upgraded rollers I was told would last 10X as long, and upon inspection the quality of the Nylon rollers vs. the Plastic rollers was apparent. Unfortunately there was no mention of this at the time of the sale. They just want you to commit your money which is half up front, and then they’ll upsell you«the most important part» of the system once you’re locked in and can’t turn back. I called the owner Dale Heuvelman to explain that I thought this was a very poor way of doing business, and that it should be explained at the time of the sale that the«most important part of the system»(Dales Words) the quality rollers should be offered when selling the product not when they already have your money. The best he had to offer was that the people who work for him are just not that good, and that it’s tough to find good people, and that if I didn’t want the good rollers than I could just take what comes with the system. Great job Dale at taking ownership of your company and the people that you hire. Not even a hint at an apology. I’m kind of stuck with Precision Garage Door for the time being, but would certainly hesitate before calling and trusting these folks again, and I suggest that you would too.
