Acorn Campground

Had to switch campsite (52) since my tent wouldn’t fit on the horrible incline of the camping site. Changed to site 57 and way better. No BBQ on this site, had to use the site next to us. Bathrooms were clean. Bring quarters for the shower; $ 1.25 for 12 minutes. The sinks SUCK! You have to press the button where the water comes out of the faucet and you get like 3 seconds of water. No cold water which would have been great if it wasn’t 100 degrees out. No ledges to set personal items or even a bench to sit and change. The lake is so dried up that the walk to it was probably half a mile. Oh yeah the best part… LEECHES!!! Yep LEECHES, all over our feet and lower legs. They had to be scratched off since they were stuck on us. The campground doesn’t sell firewood either. I will not be returning to this dust bowl.
