I love panera so I can’t complain. I always order their bbq chicken salad and tomato soup. Service can be slow(I usually go for dinner) — I’m just glad this is basically in my backyard.

Worst Panera ever! Ditto all the reviews about rude, ineffective staff. Orders took long, staff was yelling to each other to shut up, soup was luke warm. When manager did come over he was just as overwhelmed. I’ve been to other locations and even though the food is pricey at least the staff is pleasant.

First, let me say that I love Panera Bread, particularly their salad options and soups(broccoli and cheese being my absolute favorite! Yum!). Now for the not so good comments… 1) They now seem to only fill up a half salad box… literally half way with lettuce! It makes no sense to charge over 5 bucks for half of a box of a substance that is 95% water. 2) Your bowl of soup is not filled up, and on occasion is luke warm. 3) They won’t advise if they’ve run out of croutons 4)They quite often run out of food the later it gets in the day. 5) Most of the workers seem unhappy to be employed there. 6) The food prep area is always messy, unorganized and the wrapper/covers to the different types of breads are always left open, diminishing their freshness. Positive: 1) The manager did follow up with me via phone when I submitted a complaint with the Corporate Office.(Reason for the 2nd star) I promptly received through mail a $ 10 certificate towards a future purchase to make up for the errors that were made on my mobile-pick up order. 2) There are 3 employees here who exemplify excellent customer service. I will make certain to shout them out on this site once I get their names.(They should have had on name tags.) Bottom line — Check your bag before you leave this place to make certain your food is prepared to your satisfaction.

This PB used to be amazing when they first opened. Now?! Ghetto staff. They are super nonchalant and take their sweet time making your food. My to-go order was ready; 20 minutes late mind you and the man behind the counter calls to me «yo» like wtf. They still got my order wrong. The staff gets younger and the service gets worse. Unacceptable ! They talk about things behind the counter that arent relevant to work . I’m officially done ordering with them. I’ll go to the one in Lawrence instead.

This is by far the worst Panera i’ve ever been to. The location is great and the seating is nice but the staff was careless and on top of that rude. The girl taking my order was unfriendly, there was no «hello welcome to Panera!», she just stared blankly and said with an attitude«yea?». But what really shocked me how she called the next lady on line to the counter by saying«WOMAN» and gesturing with her hands… My sandwich looked like it was thrown together, the tomatoes were green and unripe, they forgot the croutons on the soup, and they forgot to give my friend dressing for her salad. I was very disappointed.

I would give this Panera location 5 stars but I took one away for the lack of quality in staff. First off, I’m a salad person so I love to eat Panera Bread’s salads. Not too often because they’re pricey but when I do, I like to enjoy it. When they opened one in Green Acres I was excited because it was close to my house, but I knew«Green Acres» has a rep. Of course it was valid. The staff making my salad was so ghetto and rude. They have a nice waiting area where you can see your name and if your food is being prepared and also you can see your food being prepared by the staff. That night It was two employees making the food. They kept saying«I’m not making it»…“No you make it”… I was soooo turned off watching them make my salad my gosh! I don’t understand! Guess I never will. Good old Green Acres I guess. But anyway, my salad was delicious of course. Fresh as usual. However I feel like that staff member that didn’t feel like making my food did a good job at making my salad look the way he felt. Next time I’ll check my salad and make sure everything is right before I leave that’s all. I will return but only because it’s close to my house.

As close to healthy fast food as you can get. Lots of options, sandwiches, soups and salads. Great for kids! Mine love the chicken noodle soup, which even with chips is only 10 grams of fat(Compared to nuggets and small fries which is over 25 grams of fat) And this location has maintained high quality of service and cleanliness that you find at other Paneras. A great addition to the Valley Stream area.

I was never a Panera fan while I worked in Midtown for 8 yrs and I see now that it could have been that way because I had so many options. Now that they’ve slowly been slipping into the outer boroughs I slowly find myself falling in like. So here’s the thing. Panera to me is like the date you have fun with but would never introduce them to family per say. It’s one of those let’s keep it on the low type thing. If I’m in a mall, I’d rather eat at Panera than one of those random mall food court spot where some random chick is forcing you to take her chicken on a stick. I’ll pass. So under those circumstances Panera is a safer, cleaner and I can get soup. I’ve been to this location a couple times. The chicken soup is always a good idea The chicken salad and almond sandwich or the turkey, cranberry avocado is the business. Idk why but I also love their bread and cheese danish. Again, we’ll keep these things between us. I am annoyed by the constant dirty tables and the pick up area and the people who seem to use it as a rest spot and go full on comatose with level 10 snoring. Not here for it. Other than Panera is fine with me. Let me know what you think.

Convenient. Clean. Friendly. I placed my lunch order using the Panera bread app and when I arrived approximately 10 minutes later, my meal was in the bag and on the shelf ready to go. My order was correct and the food was very good. The Wi-Fi worked well and I was able to get my work done on my laptop and enjoy my lunch for the hour that I was there. The lunch hour rush was not as overwhelming as I have seen it at other Panera breads, so it was nice to be in a comfortable setting to focus on my work.

Food tastes good here just like other Panera locations. Usually order lines are not long. However you should expect to get your food later than anticipated. Place is clean and staff is friendly.

Why is Panera so overpriced? In addition to charging too much, the portions are very small. Every time I order large or whole portions, I feel ripped off. The taste and quality of the food is just okay. It’s really nothing special. $ 20.00 for a bowl of turkey chili and a whole chicken ancient grains salad… really! I swear you will get the same portions if you order small or regular, plus you will save a boat load of cash. I only gave 2 stars because it was clean. I won’t be back.

Thought I’d go in again and give it a second shot. Nope. Nope. Nope. I am not writing this review because I want to ‘hate’ on Panera bread for the sole purpose of it being in green acres. I want this place to win! This is my neighborhood. I grew up around here. I would LOVE to give this establishment a fab review but unfortunately I can not. Came here two days ago. I ordered a Turkey Bacon sandwich, A salad along with a bagel w. cream cheese… My sandwhich had no lettuce, tomato, OR(wait for it. this is the most important part… BACON!) My CHOCOLATECHIP bagel came with the WRONG cream cheese(onion?.. wtf) and my salad was whack. It lacked luster. I paid $ 23 for frustration. I will be avoiding this place completely.

Every time I come to this location, there’s a long slow moving line and a long wait to receive my order. There were no napkins at the dispensers or straws, had to ask a worker to get me some. Also a lot of the tables were dirty, yet to be clean.

Didn’t walk in here with too many expectations but standard, better than fast food food. I ordered the Frontega Chicken Panini with Mac & Cheese and the almost always amazing green tea(only to be disappointed by it). The sandwich was as good as I thought it would be, but the Mac & Cheese was quite impressive. My first time having the mac and cheese here and very upset I’ve discovered it(I may be running in here too much to satisfy an occasional craving). It was rich in white cheddar and lots of other cheesy goodness! Mac & Cheese a must have here. My green tea wasn’t their usual — not sure what happened with my batch but it tasted like sugar water, no real green tea taste. The cashier was very helpful and accommodating because of my not so good green tea. Panera — no major complaints, you are A-okay in my book!

This is a brand new location only a couple months old, and they have some kinks to work out. But the service is good and friendly, the thai salad is as good as I get it anywhere else. My only issue is the paninis are a little lacking in ingredients, like the manager cracks the whip if they go over their allotted measurements.

2nd time at this Panera location but I am an avid Panera customer both in the city and in Long Island. On Monday, Labor Day, Sept 7, at around 10AM, I went to get breakfast as I was getting my car serviced at Sears. Although there was no one on line, I waited a few minutes as the man behind the counter just stared in space. After he called me, he proceeded to rush my order, never asking me anything as is customary with all of the other Panera people who are always nice. Mr. Zachary appeared to be extremely hung over, constantly rubbing his nose and eyes to the point that it was annoying. He was over dramatic as he spoke to another employee totally avoiding any interaction with me and upon check out did not ask if we had a Panera card which I did. I presented it to him and once again, the drama began with the rubbing of the nose, eyes and attitude. It was as if he could care less about my order as he rubbed his dirty hands over the small plastic cups. The only thing that stopped me from saying anything or asking for a manager was that the three employees at the front were all on the same page with the gossip and high fives. I WILLNEVERENTERTHISLOCATIONAGAIN!!! Mr. Zachary go to Rehab!!!

I’m reviewing this Panera specifically because I know Green Acres Mall carries a negative stigma so anything associated with this mall, there’s an assumption that customer service is probably bad. I walked in Panera Bread around 12pm on a Saturday. Jamie, the girl who attended me was very sweet. (I paid attention to her name tag because her hospitality made her stand out from the other employees.) I appreciated that Jamie was really patient with me and didn’t give off any hints of annoyance because i had a hard time deciding which sandwich/soup to get. She just laughed. I ordered the Frontega Chicken Panini and told her I wasn’t sure if Id liked chipotle mayo on it. She suggested to keep it as a side. I had a hard time deciding on soups and she told me I could sample them. What?! I didn’t know. I’ve been to plenty of Paneras and not once have I’ve been told I could sample them. I choose the Lemon Chicken Orzo. I recieved my food in under 5 mins. It was the right temperature, didn’t get ripped off with any ingredients plus flavorful. Sitting down I noticed the place was really clean too. I’m happy that I left with no disappointments. Shout out to Jamie again. She’s a great employee with great customer service. Don’t shy away from this Panera because of the location. Come with an open mind.

I felt compelled to write a review after visiting about 5 times. I loveeeee Panera Bread. The food is great, the new location is nice and it definitely helps to boost the façade of Green Acres with the renovations that will be going on. The kitchen service however is ridiculously slow if you don’t preorder online. Most times there seems to only be one person bagging orders and every is taking their sweet time while 10 people wait. What they don’t realize is that often times people are here on their lunch break and in a rush. This morning I was beyond frustrated because it’s as if they have no regard for people’s time. I ordered oatmeal and there was no one else ahead of me. Why did I have to wait there for 10 minutes waiting for my oatmeal while the workers took their sweet time prepping items like salad for the rest of the day. The priority should be getting orders out the door. Pretty frustrating when you’re in a rush. I still love you though Panera. I just wish the kitchen service at this location gets a little faster. Will contact management cause I don’t have 30 minutes to waste here on my breaks.
